We went to CC Tomatoes earlier this week, and were very disappointed with the food and cleanliness of the restaurant. We ordered a pizza with chicken on it and it had no flavor at all. The chicken wasn't seasoned and tasted like it had been microwaved or boiled rather than grilled. The sauce also had no flavor. The only good part was the crust. The restaurant was very dirty! Oil all over the cloth seats, dirty window sills and dirty restrooms. It's clear that the owner of this place has given up, or just doesn't care. Such a shame, as it could be a nice, fun spot to have dinner and a few drinks. On the positive side, our server was very nice and attentive, and went out of her way to correct a drink that was made wrong. Not sure we'll be back here any time soon. read more

Went to dinner here last night with friends. Busy place but within 10 minutes found a high top table in the bar area. Very good service, friendly and knowledgeable. This restaurant used to be so good... back in 2024... I still gave them the benefit of the doubt but the last four times I'm ordered from them my meal has been wrong. The chicken sandwich made with grilled chicken even when it offers fried. Ordered that twice.. both times wrong. Then ordered the fish sandwich that came with old lettuce and no tartar sauce. For the price people pay , the chefs need to slow down and pay attention. read more

Omg not a good experience at all. Our booth had greasy seats that I left with stains on the back of my pants. I walked out of bathroom as I was grossed out. Window sills were dirty. Pizza was not good. Very little sauce, and hardly no toppings. Something has changed and not what it use to be. This was our go to place but as my husband and friends say we need to find another go to place that cares. Please look into this as this is such a shame. Anyone complaining about large portions clearly doesn't understand the culture of Italian food or are pathetic and weak examples of humanity. We ordered a calzone this evening and it was raw, under seasoned and the bottom of the calzone had so much flour it was inedible. Always loved this place since the moment they opened. I had my favorite things and my kids had their own favorite things and here now years later I have moved all the way to New York and back to Boston and all that time I would always come back to CC Tomatoes and either pick up to go or have our favorite things which are the sausage soup which are my son's favorite and the bistro salad with steak tips and fried leeks on top which is my favorite. Today the staff accommodated me because I was going to have a longer trip than usual back home and everything had to go in a cooler so they separated out the items and several other things to make it easier for me to transport the food. Thank you as always, wonderful food great staff. The only reason why I'm not giving it a five star is that I have not been seated there actually eating anything else in the past four years but every time I get my favorites, they're fantastic.! . read more

All of their food is good, but the best thing is their pizza. It's the best in concord. I was shocked when I first had it.

They couldn't help that the computer crashed and they had no record of my to go order. They quickly prepared it: I'm going to cook the chicken a little more tomorrow. But what is unforgivable is the young female worker coming out of the kitchen exhaling a cloud of vape in my direction from just a few feet away. This was the first time I've been back in years. We were looking for Italian food in Concord and thought we would give this restaurant a try. I will say that our waitress was great and the service was excellent. When our dinner arrived, the portions were ridiculously large--more than I would eat in two meals. What a waste. Unfortunately, the food was very bland. I ordered shrimp and scallops with vegetables over spaghetti, and I could not detect a hint of garlic or spice. Zero flavor, though the shellfish was fresh. Lived in Concord area for 40 years, my 1st time here- food was good, portions were robust ( chicken and sausage dishes were lunch specials, smaller than dinner portion but still lots of food for the price, good value ). We all shared the calamari app, rings were tender- salads were fresh and tasty- chicken dish was unique for the flavor, a bit too much sauce for the chicken and ravioli in it- sausage dish was basically Italian sausage with red sauce and red pepper flakes- pasta cooked we'll, not very creative- for 3 people, with an app and 3 hearty entrees ( we all drank water ) for only $55 is hard to beat the value- I'd give it a 3.5 if I could- opportunity for improvement would be staff to be a bit more professional, perhaps all Wear the same polo with branding so you can tell who the staff are? Gal who was our server was very nice- somewhat confusing at the entrance, - who is there to be seated, vs picking up to go orders- I would go again, but won't rush there- lots of orders for the tips and shrimp we're going out of the kitchen, might try that next time read more

We were in town for a basketball tourney and were stuck at the hotel for the day due to a snowstorm. Just about everywhere was closed, until we found CC's. We appreciated how quickly we had some complimentary rolls in front of us. For an appetizer, the whole table enjoyed the mozzarella fritte. We were a split decision on if we'd order our entrees again. My friend who ordered the baked stuffed haddock was very happy and the price couldn't be beat. One of the kids ordered chicken tenders and fries and had no complaints. Those of us who got pasta (Four Cheese tortellini in Alfredo and Chicken Portobello) agreed it was mediocre. The cheese sauces just didn't have much flavor, as though there was no seasoning whatsoever. I hardly use salt and pepper but I had to that day. Portion sizes were good, prices were reasonable and our waitress was attentive. For these reasons I'd give it another shot and maybe try a different menu item. read more

Absolutely Disgusting. I stopped there today. for lunch, and while sitting at the bar I could watch the cooks in the kitchen. I watched in horror as one of the cooks took a handful of pasta from the prep station, hold it up to his nose as if to sniff it and then put in the water to reheat it. I understand that pasta is precooked and then reheated when an order comes in, but why hold it up to your face ... to Sniff it ??? Horrible. This was our third and final try. I ordered the CC Limone which doesn't say it has mushrooms and came with mushrooms. My salad is inedible and there's no way they would've served it in their restaurant. The manager was super nonchalant and said she'd give me $2.50 on my next visit- they already owed me for this. Came here for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon; opted to sit outside. Not many diners inside & no one outside when my guy & I arrived. Ordered a Bloody Mary which was okay. Looked like they had a good selection of beer on draft. The wait staff/hostess seemed annoyed at first that we elected to eat outside (more walking for them?) Our waitress was really nice, though. She would disappear for a while at a time, but we didn't need much. I ordered the Five & Dime which was loaded with breaded shrimp, steak tips (cooked to the temperature I requested & very good) & really tasty french fries. It was about $19.00 which is a hefty price, but I got 2 meals out of it in the end. I think I would come back to see how their pizza is. We have going here for years. So disappointed in our meals tonight. The CC Limone chicken usually is delicious. Tonight the sauce was so salty I couldn't eat it. Instead of the light lemony cream sauce it was just melted butter & salt. Even the server said she could see it wasn't right. I barely ate any of it. My husbands Baked haddock was overcooked and dry, the potatoes that came with it were so hammered and salted again uneatable. He left them. This place was average. They have traditional Italian fair and a lot of smaller plates. Pizza was ok, the crust was a little too thick for brick oven. The interior was cozy and our server was great! My husband and I had dinner at CC's yesterday. Our waitress was very good. I had the chicken parm, it was ok, not bad, but not great either. My husband had the french onion soup, he said it was excellent. He also had the italian panini. It was neither an italian nor a panini. There was literally one piece of grilled, dry ham and one piece of salami. One piece of each! It was not even a panini, it was on a roll that just had some grill marks on it. It was not done in a press. The roll was dry with nothing on it, no dressing or mayo. Had lettuce and tomato. Very disappointing. On the web site it shows a picture of an actual panini. I was driving through Penacook and decided to stop at C.C. Tomatoes for an early dinner. The atmosphere at this casual family restaurant is bright and inviting with the main dining room to the left and the bar area to the right. There's also seasonal outdoor seating beyond the dining room. Since the dining room was empty on a Sunday mid-afternoon, I asked to be seated at a table in the bar area, which was showing sports highlights on the tubes and a few other patrons were already seated at the bar. The Italian American menu sounded very appetizing and offers brick oven pizzas (I can see it from the bar), calzonis, appetizers, chili, soups, salads, burgers, paninis, Italian dinners, seafood, steak, and desserts, at fair prices. This was our first time going to CC's. We had a group of seven. It was a Saturday night at 6:30 - all of our other favorites had a crazy wait. I called CC's and they had call ahead seating - but said we may still have to wait a few - which I figured. We arrive at 7 pm and are seated right away. It was busy, between people coming in for take out (they do pizza too) and all the patrons. The building is nice, modern and clean. There is a nice bar area and a couple of rooms for seating, all in all very comfortable. The mix of patrons was casual, families, people dressed very casually and some people dressed for a night on the town. We were waiting on two people, and we were starving. They brought us bread and martinis (I will post a picture). The bread is like bertuccis - very filling and yummy, they serve it with butter. I had a little trouble finding what I wanted on the menu. It was filled with creamy sauces and traditional italian fare. I saw someone who had mussels that looked amazing but I could not find that option on the menu or specials and forgot to ask. Once our whole party arrived we ordered and got more drinks, the sicilian kiss was AMAZING. A layered and strong martini. The service was good and quick and they kept the bread coming. I got the greek salad and added grilled chicken to the top. The dressing was very good and simple, basically and oil and vinegar mix with herbs, so much better than the creamy greek dressings. The chicken was very good. People in my party got chicken parm, tortellini, chicken alfredo etc. Everybody thought the food was very good. Prices were pretty good also. This place is going to give you a good atmosphere, good food, good service at a good price. They are not going to have fresh cracked pepper, fresh cheese to sprinkle, oil for dipping or any of that, which for some reason I found refreshing. A true definition of a family owned neighborhood restaurant. I would love to go back in the summer and see the outdoor seating area. read more

Hostess told us to wait while she helps everyone in the bar, then 5 minutes later tells us to seat ourselves in the dining room. Ten minutes later waitress takes drink orders, but still don't have menu's. More than another ten minutes pass and she gives us drinks and takes our order. Fast forward an hour...and after complaining that she hasn't refilled drinks or given us an update, ask for either check or lunch. We like eating at CC Tomatoes. During normal times, we go there with some regularity. But, these are not normal times. Restaurants are closed to help stop the spread of COVID-19. They are under orders to only provide takeout meals. So we decided to support our local business with a pizza order to go. Big mistake. Not a single employee was wearing a mask. No one in the kitchen; no one handling money, no one who works there is protecting the public or themselves. Customers are all standing in the lobby waiting for their food. No masks or protection. It is a recipe for an outbreak and we won't be going back. We will also struggle with going back after things return to normal. Sorry, but if enhanced hygiene during a pandemic can't be followed, it says something about food safety in general. It's too bad since the food and service are pretty good. Just not worth the risk. If I could give this place a zero stars I would. We were visiting family in Concord and decided to have dinner at CC's since we were a large party of 8 and on a Friday night decided to call and see if we could make reservations. After calling and being told that they don't take reservations on Fridays or Saturday nights but.... I could call 1/2 in advance and tell them I was on my way that would be ok and they could seat us when we arrived. I was asked my phone number and soon after hanging up I recieved a text message stating that our table would be ready at approximately 7:36pm. The pictures is attached, great we arrived a little after 7:30 and expected to wait. When speaking to the girl at the front desk she had no idea who we were and went to get the man I had spoken to. He stated that we would have to wait another 30-40 minutes that he still didn't have a table for us. We agreed to wait, keeping in mind I had my 3 month old baby and 3 year old daughter with us. We remained in the entrance way expecting to be called. After time went by it was now close to 8:15 and we were still waiting. My husband decided to go inside and ask what was taking so long. The same man then came out and told us that they weren't gonna be able to seat us for another 40 minutes. Very poor customer service on their part.. of my husband had not gone in they would have never came out to tell us and would have shrugged us off like they did when we arrived. Any other restaurant would have came out to advise their customers/guests that it was going to be a longer wait. Especially, seeing that the party consisted of small children. Not to mention my little girl kept saying " Mommy I'm hungry!!".. Shame on CC Tomatoes for not having better customer service. And a lack of communication among their staff. We visited here earlier this week with some friends. Right off the bat we asked for separate bills which the waitress seemed fine with. We were seated in the dining room area. Our drink order was taken quickly and our drinks arrived in good time. It took about 20 more minutes before our food order was taken. The food came out and was decent. I don't recommend the taco style pizza. It lacked flavor. The carnivore pizza was great and our friends each got a calzone that they seemed to enjoy. We waited about 15 minutes for the check to come once we asked for it and it was not split. So when she finally returned another 15 minutes later to collect the check we asked her to split it. She returned and collected our cards to run payment. When the receipts came to be signed it was all wrong. And she couldn't seem to understand what we were trying to tell her. She had undercharged us by about half. So after trying to explain that they were getting screwed out of money 8 ways to Sunday we finally just gave up and left. So we ended up only paying about half of our bill which I guess they were fine with. My opinion is that the pizza is overpriced for what it is there so I guess we made out well.
