We went with JR, because he was cheaper than a previous fence we had replaced. JR started as promised, but after the first day, his helper didn't show up. So the process slowed for several days. He brought his son one day That didn't really speed up the work. He finally finished the 100' fence after a week. JR asked me about the gate boards overlapping or just side-by-side. The side-by-side had less weight, so I said yes. BIG mistake. Now the spacing between the boards is really wide. After that I started noticing the fence boards were bowing. I started looking closer at the workmanship and noticed he put one nail in the top and bottom of each board. I went back and looked at the previous replaced fence and there were 2 to 3 nails each board. I called JR the other day about the bowing. His response was to send him pictures. I sent the pictures the next day. all I got after that was crickets. I could go more in the finacials that ended up a mess, but overall, I would never let this guy build another fence for me. I really hate giving negative reviews, but as a consumer I think it's my responsibility to let people know about businesses that have poor customer service. On April 26, 2018 I called CC Trimworks and talked to Jack. Explained that I needed a RV gate repaired. He said that it would be about six weeks before the repair could be made. I said I was OK with that. We set up an appointment for an estimate for May 2nd between 3-5 PM. On May 2nd he called about 4:30 PM and said he was stuck in Folsom and he couldn't make it. We rescheduled for the next day May 3rd at 8:30 AM. I'm still waiting. No show, no phone call, no nothing. I can only speculate why he didn't arrive for our appointment. Unless you are willing to sit around for 2 days for them to show up, with scheduled appointments, I would not recommend this company. I contacted them and asked if they could come out and give me an estimate on a fence repair. The first available appointment was two weeks out....no problem. The appointment was scheduled between 2-4 in the afternoon. At 4:40 they had not shown up so I reached out to JR, the owner. He said he'd had a bad day and lost track of time and wouldn't be able to come that day. He said he could come out the next day at whatever time was convenient for me. Ok, things happen, so It was scheduled for 1:00. Again, a no-show. No text, no phone call. I didn't contact him again since I knew I didn't want to do business with a company that didn't have the common courtesy to at least let me know they wouldn't be able to make it.
