I've been coming here for over a decade. It's very hard to find someone who knows how to cut curly hair! I've had my hair cut, and highlighted before and it's always amazing! I made an appointment for my daughter to get her hair cut at 330. We get there at 325 and were greeted by a large barking dog. We stood around the shop for a couple of minutes before someone comes out. The lady who I assume is CC comes out and says she's running about 30 minutes behind, she didn't have time to call us and if we wanted to wait. Unfortunately we didn't have 30 minutes to wait. I understand if people get busy but it only takes a few minutes to call someone and inform them they are behind. We wasted our time driving here and will not be back. Notes: the salon is located in a strip mall but in the back behind the other stores. The salon is also filled with plants all over, similar to a nursery. TLDR; If you are looking for color that lasts, and a stylist with a heart of gold who is willing to work with you until you get what you absolutely love, then you NEED to see CC. Long Story Time. I had a hair EMERGENCY. I went to a salon and said Dark Red (the same color I've been getting for ten years). My hair is naturally brunette, and fades to an auburn after the dye washes out. SOMEHOW they turned my hair PINK!!! PINK!!! How??? I have no idea. But CC, who was booked until the end of the year, took me in and fixed me up. This absolute angel of a woman squeezed me into her already packed schedule. AND she had the same wonderful personality throughout the entire appointment. Not once did she imply that I was a burden or putting her out (even though I DEFINITELY was). Not only that, but her service is so customer centric. CC was wonderful. Her salon is so cute and full of plants and other lovely items to look at while you're waiting your turn. She was incredibly patient with me when I came in having a full-on meltdown over a bad haircut. She listened to what I asked for & didn't make any detours without running them by me. She made, helpful, suggestions, and fixed my bad cut quickly & efficiently (i was in a huge time crunch to boot), and it looks fantastic. She even took some extra time to show me how to style my hair since I am clueless. It was a great experience and I'm going back in a couple weeks for her to style my hair for an event. CC destroyed my hair. She thinned it out so much that my hair is flat and I look like a square head or even worse...Frankenstein! I'm so disappointed with her lack of doing what I wanted and taking it upon herself to do what she wanted. I wanted to try a new place for Keritan Hair treatment. When I called they were nice on the phone so I scheduled a consultant appt. Wow, showed up for my appt on time. Walked into salon and the women said "I will be right with you". Did not even acknowledge I had appt?? I waited 10 minutes while she continued the weave she was doing which was going to take at least another 30 minutes. I decided my time was more valuable. Very rude person and I felt ignored and that she did not want my business. I never complain about anything. I get my hair done often and Keritan treatment at least 3 times a year, well she just lost out on a good customer and over $700 in revenue. Do not go here! Walk-ins are welcome, but I made an appt a few days prior to getting my hair cut just to secure my place... it was a 40 minute drive for me. When you get your hair done, you want to feel confident and really good about it... it's all about you and what your want to look like when you get out of the salon. I lost that feeling within the first hour of waiting for my hair to be done... when I say done, I mean cut. No color, no perm, no weave, nada. They were extremely busy due to an upcoming hair show, but I waited FIVE FUCKING HOURS. I ate two meals, one at a shitty little Thai place around the corner (I yelped it), another at a tasty little mexican place next door. I also watched 2 and a half movies while waiting. But I was not about to leave without a haircut. The atmosphere is rad if you're looking to chill, chat with all the ladies, bring your kids in to say hello, etc. It's not very rad if you want to do something useful with your day. On the flip side, I love my hair cut, she took about an hour on it, style and texture included. The women that work there have SKILLS! My girlfriend gets her hair done regularly by CC and her hair is funky and very modern. It's always really cute. But FUCK! All I could think about was yelping the shiiiz out of this when I got home. read more

Normally I just shave my head and call it a day, but after growing my hair out looking kind of shaggy, I decided to surprise my wife by getting my hair cut. I wanted just a normal short on the sides and back with some to play with on top. I had a 45 minute wait so I ate some good ol' Taco Bell in the car. When it was time, I went back, she sat me down and we started the process.. and about 10 minutes in she said "OK it's done". She seemed like she didn't really care about what she was doing, but I thought maybe this is how the pros act when they're really good at it. It looked ok to me on the spot so I paid the $20 and went home only to find that the whole thing was crazy uneven and there were lots of random longer hairs still sticking out here and there. I had to touch it all up on my own at home. I will never go back to this place again. They're crap. The lady was not very friendly to begin with and I don't like feeling like I'm an inconvenience when I'm going in and paying for service anywhere. If I could leave no stars, I would. I hate doing this and leaving a bad rating, but I know for a fact there is no way in HELL I would step foot in this place again even to give it a second chance. Made an appointment, ended up waiting a half hour-ish for the sister that was supposed to cut my hair to come back from El Pollo Loco. Sat down for my cut, was beyond specific about how I wanted my bangs cut aaaaaand low and behold, the only thing i wanted to do after she started to cut, was leave. I am now left in my bathroom fixing this god awful cut she gave me. My bangs should go across, beveled so that the ends on either side of my face will fade into my hair rather than be straight across bangs. I am now missing a chunk of my bangs on the left hand side, my right hand side significantly longer than the other, and I look like i took a bowl to my hair and had a spasm while cutting. One star being for the fact that they gave me the cut for free for waiting even when I had made an appointment and was early. I'm sure the owner is nice, but her sister is awful and really bad at what she does. If you can help it, I would go to supercuts or something. Even that shitbox of a place would be a better bet than this place. read more

A family member noticed my hair was cut wrong and took a picture to show me. I was very disappointed when I seen it because the first time around they did such a good job. She knows exactly what will compliment me. I totally trust them both with color and cut. They always style my hair so the color looks natural and the cut is easy for me to maintain and style myself. I have very unruly hair so she recommends the best products for my hair. The atmosphere is light & fun with great artwork on the walls and even a little play area for kids.
