If you're wondering about diva nails, please hear me out. I'm not paid, not an add, just a customer since 2022 that walked in without an appointment and became a loyal customer. They are smaller, but I think that's why I like them more. They are attentive, availability is reasonable! I've sat in the chair and watched them efficiently take care of everyone that came in. I absolutely love how friendly and attentive all the technicians are. They will carry conversation with a smile the entire time and make you laugh even. It's my fav place to go to unwind bc the employees have always made me feel comfortable. I'm always greeted with a hello, every single time. I walked in and noticed the cleanliness. The smell didn't bother my sinuses like others do bc remember it's smaller, not too much at one time. They are SO kind even have a candy dish with unique Vietnamese candies to try. I don't feel like my service is rushed like some express places. Most importantly, my dignity has always been a priority to them. I don't have the prettiest feet, but my nail tech makes me feel a million bucks. I love all of the ladies bc of how they make me feel when I visit and it's like a 2nd home. Attempted to get my nails done here this past Saturday. Pulled up to the location. The door was wide open. I walked in and saw someone with one customer towards the back of the salon. I looked around to see if anyone else was available to do a quick fill-in when I saw the whole time I stood there a lady was at what I presume to be their reception desk off to the far right of the front of the salon. The fact she didn't greet me was odd but I happily said hello and asked if I could get a fill-in. She delayed her reply. Looked around. Sized me up. Then said, "oh I'm sorry we are closed." Umm...ok. I thanked her and left. i get in my car and it's 5:48. So, door wide open. No sign saying you're closed. You have a customer. But I was turned away. It gave me discrimination vibes. Now, I looked online to see if hours were posted and found none. And, I found it odd the delay in sharing they were closed. Soon as I walked in you'd think she'd say so. But, these places judge you and base their "availability" on what you're spending. I get it, but I don't. If this spot was closing at 6pm, she should have said they stopped taking customers because they closed in ten minutes or took their last customer at 5:30pm. Communication is key. Instead I left feeling they were rude and bias. I hesitated to try this spot based on the reviews. When is walked in, it wasn't very aesthetically pleasing. Yet, I was optimistic. Huge fail. Luckily, there was a nail salon less than half a mile away that was open until 7:00pm and welcomed me without issue. The salon was also immaculate. Fresh decor. And they had a lot of customers. I have been coming here for several years regularly. The women are nice and friendly and do a good job. They have a good selection of dip powder colors but could benefit from adding more. They have a great selection of gel colors. They are great with basic nail requests and even non-complex designs. read more

The guy who did my nails, gave me the wrong kind of nails. I asked for gel and he gave me acrylic. When I asked him what he was doing, he snotty voiced said "I give what you ask for!" I said if they weren't right I wouldn't pay. Well, like I said I ask for gel he put on acrylic nails. So I told him I won't pay, he gets mad, threatened to call police, but did not. So I left. DONT GO HERE! I GUESS it's a very big language barrier, between us. read more

I don't recommend going here. There isn't good customer service. The wait isn't worth it, you'll receive sh*tty nails to be half ass- just like how that happened to me and my mother. They're too thick and pudgy like, I did not revive the the shape I asked for or wanted to lay for, she rushed my nails, painted them poorly & managed to cut 3 of my fingers- she didn't even treat it. The place wasn't very clean, they don't wash or dust off the persons nail powders, germs etc.. before you sit down. It was bad enough we weren't going to tip but my mom was too nice. So, now we're stuck with nails we didn't want, that aren't even good quality, I don't know what I paid for but I'm for sure am NOT going back. Today May 10, 2021 I made an appointment for acrylic nails at Diva Nails and Tanning in Charels Town WV My nail Tech was Thanh. Let me say, I should have stopped him when I noticed his own hands had cracked skin and he was not wearing gloves. I explained that my nails are very thin. When he began buffing my nails he burned my thumb. I again stated my nails are very thin. Please be careful. He then burned the cuticle on a different finger. I yelled ouch but he never apologized. This happened 4 times I have photo proof of burns on my cuticles. I definitely should have walked out. The manicure is sloppy and thick. He left nail glue and white acrylic on the underside of my finger. I have photo proof. After I left my fingers were so sore & stinging. I called the salon and asked to speak to the manager. The phone was given to a male employee. I asked for his name. He replied Thanh. I asked again for the manager he said You can speak with me. I didn't feel comfortable speaking with him so I hung up. I will never return to this salon. I would like reimbursement for the $46.00 Again I have photo proof. read more

The worst pedicure I've ever had and I've had too many to count. There was three of us and had a reservation. We confirmed they could do all three off us together. I mean after all this was the point of us going together. Got there and signed in. After about ten minutes we asked if we should come back later. Was told it would be another fifteen minutes. When they called us back they were only ready for two. It took another ten minutes before they were ready for the third one. All of us felt rushed. The gentleman that did me barely trimmed my nails and forgot to push back my cuticular until the end. It was definitely an after thought. He was responsible for the answering the phone and scheduling appointments. He was interrupted so many times he forgot what he had done. I had polish on the skin around my big toe which I got off before I went to the dryer. My heels are rough like I hadn't had a pedicure. The other two said they didn't get a top coat. We figured out after words that we were not regulars and that they just wanted to hurry up so they could service the regular clients. Basically I paid for a foot wash and toe nails to be polished. We have been here a few times but this is definitely the last time. Very sad they don't value all the patrons that come through their door. read more

This is the only place I tried in this town (so far). Almost every customer did the gel manicure but I was just here to do a regular manicure. I like my natural strong nails and don't need extra gels in them. The staff was trying to get me to get the acrylic manicure by telling me something I already know, would keep it longer for weeks. Well, of course I know that but for someone who's mobile and type all the time, I just need a regular mani and want the color m off my nails after few days so they can breathe a little and then do another. The staff who did my manicure did a great job. She gave a great hand massage too. The whole time I was there the staff talked (in their language) to each other from one side to the other. I thought that was funny but it didn't bother me as long as the job was done correctly and it did. Thanks! read more

Yes lovelies, if you are fortunate enough to be misfortunate enough to live in this quaint little town and fancy the desire to get your nails did ... let this be YOUR FIRST CHOICE!! They are okay, but they are not big on walk ins so I'd make sure you have an appointment. The lady I had burned me while doing my acrylics several times and charged me $55 for a fill with gel polish, a little pricey for me, especially when she wasn't being careful. Diva's is the absolute best nail salon around! Not just in Charles Town, but in the whole panhandle. I can always count on them to deliver top quality services. They staff is kind and friendly and the environment is incredibly clean and welcoming. I've had manicures in Paris that were awful compared to the top notch mani's and pedi's at divas. I've also used their lay down tanning beds and they have always been very clean and have great bulbs (I have not used their stand up bed). They offer a variety of tanning products and have very talented staff that can put almost any design on your nails. I just love them and go out of my way to get my nails done there because they always do it right! They are also very reasonably priced! A+!!! read more

one of the more rudest salons i've ever been to. First off, the first time I came in to get my nails filled my original set wasn't done here i was just getting a fill but i wasn't sure if i wanted gel and the nail tech lady had the nerve to say "what you can't afford gel?" i don't know why i didn't leave after that but my nails ended up being okay but the second time i got another fill there and lady was so rough with my nails. It ended up being pretty painful at the end and my nails were pretty weak. After 4 days two nails were broken and i went back to get them fixed and after waiting 25 minutes to get nails done they decided to take some walk in before me so i walked out. Not only that I have never once seen them wipe down their tables after a client. I will never return to this salon. read more

I walked in 20min before closing time to get a pedicure and they said no we are closed. Horrible customer service! I will never go back!
