We ordered a dozen cupcakes in addition to the cake and was a bit disappointed with those as I thought for the price they would have been a bit larger than your standard cupcake. We walked in without a plan and without an appointment and they were very accommodating. The signs say "By appointment only" and we ignored them. We are the worst. Every single person at the wedding kept asking what NRI meant, when it was supposed to be a N & P intertwined. I just paid $158 for an 8 inch round simple Mickey cake and it looks like something that i could've decorated myself. I'm so mad I didn't just make the cake, when I debated on doing so. I wanted to surprise my kids with amazing graduation cakes and had to get an 80th birthday cake too. We had family in from NY and I didn't want to go all the way to Scottsdale for a cake since I live in Anthem. I took a chance and I have to tell you the cakes were amazing. I had to order them without even having a taste test because there was no time. I gave her three pictures of what I wanted and they not only looked amazing they tasted amazing. The first one was a U of A cake themed cake which was a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. The second was a Colorado School of Mines cake which was chocolate with mint cream that had chocolate chips in it. The third looked like a wedding cake. I have to tell you the carrot cake was the best I ever had. The chocolate cake is the first chocolate cake that was not dry. I don't know how she does it but it was moist. The 80th birthday cake was her Pina colada cake, it had pineapple and coconut in the filling. Family and friends are still talking about these three cakes. They are wonderful to work with, professional and when she delivered the cake for the birthday party in Scottsdale she sent me a text message. Only place I will go when I need a cake. Not agreeing with the 5stars. I used this bakery once after I searched for a good tasting cake, which can do nice theme decor. Although it was a littlle on the high side for the price, I was satisfied with how it looked and tasted and posted it on our nextdoor neighborhood . I am trying to order again this year based on that experience. Sad to say, lady is not professional. She agreed for me to come stop by so I could make my order, I was there at the exact time I said I would be there and the shop was close, reasoning that she waited and didn't arrive. She might be making nice cakes, but for me to give you a repeat business, at least show respect to your customer by informing ahead that you are not going to be in the appointment... no sincerity to make up for that miss out too... just... "Sorry I had a last minute delivery."... okay, sorry too but I pulled out my recommendation for your shop. read more
