BUTTON PLEASE.... Is it me or CD One Cleaners are hard on dress shirt buttons... every time I have half cracked buttons.

I am a pretty big convenience freak, and I will pay more for it on occasion. I also like to support my local businesses. But my local cleaners is a total racket. And a total ripoff. Tried to charge me $18.75 for repairing (not replacing) a button on a coat which they were supposed to have cleaned but didn't. That was the last straw for me. I will bring every un-complicated cleaning job 4 miles away to CD cleaners. They cleaned that same coat very nicely for $2.99. I love the people there, their service is dependable, and stuff comes back nicely folded, cleaned and covered. You pay ahead and you pay about 50-70% less than at some other cleaners. Had been using them since moving to the neighborhood a couple months ago, and things were fine. They are super fast, and very reasonably priced. Unfortunately they damaged a pair of my husband's pants by it seems burning starch into the fabric- and not saying a word about it. I think the service we are getting from CD one price for that price is not cheap in fact wasting our money with this store. I would recommend this place for men's dress shirts or something basic, but don't take anything expensive here. Out of the 10 items I took in, 2 came back with strange stains that weren't there before. My white cropped pants had a huge yellow spot on the leg and a suit jacket ended up with a yellow waterline across the back. I would take them back and ask for a re-cleaning, but I'm afraid they'll end up worse. UPDATE: I decided to try to fix the jacket and pants myself. After thoroughly spraying the stain with Shout, I put them in my washer on gentle. BAM! Stains removed. Now why couldn't they manage to do that at the cleaners?? read more

I was a little nervi taking in my cream colored wool jacket, but after reading some of the yelp reviews, I sucked it and went for it. I also took 2 other black wool jackets. Coming in on a Saturday afternoon, there was no line, so I walked right up. It took about 1 minute for them to put in my info, hand me a ticket, and I was on my way out the door. Great fast service. My clothes were ready by 5pm on Monday, and again! I got fast, friendly service. My clothes were clean, which unfortunately isn't always the case after picking them up from the "cleaners." But, my cream coat was even creamier when I got it back, and my other 2 jackets smelled oh so nice. I will fo' sho' be coming back. Oh, and who doesn't love free crap?! So on 2/11/2022 I put a coat to be cleaned for the first time for this coat okay so now it's ruin all the fluff is gone out of it plus it's shrunk as if they put the coat in washer in that case I could have washed it myself You don't put costs in washer so now fluff is gone so I call sat morning talk to Manager okay she say bring it back in we will put fluff back in it okay cool go to pick up at 3its still the same by this time second shift manager is there she don't want to deal with it keap saying well the morning Crew is gone so I ask what are they going to do about it no help so I called and ask if there was someone else l could talk to no help she say someone will call me this is the third time I gave them a chance I am really mad it's not wrt and not fare this is the second and last coat that they will ruin and not take accountability for what they did wrong I can see if they gave me an option and explain to me abt wt might happen But they didn't I wouldn't even have put it in if that was the case But it wasn't so now I'm waiting to hear from someone which night not be till weekday sometime cause it's Saturday just don't know at this point and they really wasn't the nicest read more

Meh. Can't complain with their prices being so low but you have to inspect your garments when you get them back. Stuff comes back dirty. Stains aren't handled with care. In the end you get what you pay for. Prime Cleaners on Clark does a much better job! read more

And when the cashier told me that I could pick up my items the next day after 5p, I had her repeat the time because I was in disbelief. I dropped my items off at 7:30p!! That's less than 24 hours. NEVER AGAIN! I've had it with CD One Price Cleaners. My clothes come back with multiple buttons missing that were attached very well prior to dropping them off to be clean. The clothes don't appear any cleaner than if I were to wash them myself and spend the time to iron. Yes it's a cheap price, but is it worth it to you and me to have clothes returned looking worse then before they were dropped off. The answer is hell NO. I've had clothing permanently ruined by this specific location and the worst part is that they don't care, nor will they fix the solution. Don't ruin your clothes by bringing them here. For general cleaning/pressing they are great. The quick turnaround, extended hours, and street "loading zone" right out front make this an incredibly convenient option. However, they always have been a huge disappointment in getting stains out, even when I've pointed out ahead of time. My recommendation is to take advantage of their cheap pricing and use for the bulk of your work wardrobe, but take any stained items to a more upscale cleaner that will give your garments the attention that is needed. read more

But if anyone is thinking of going here and needs hemming, this isn't your place. they don't do hemming, and will not clean damaged clothes (which makes sense). They ripped TWO of my boyfriend's best dress shirts in the same place (elbows) and then refused to pay for it. The manager went through this whole spiel about how he was sure that the shirts' tears were caused by a "manufacturers defect" and therefore could not have been the dry cleaners because their machine wouldn't be able to tear the shirt in that spot. All I know is that those tears were not there when I dropped those shirts off. Thankfully, the shirts were almost brand new and I still had the receipts so I was able to go back to Banana Republic and get a full refund. All I wanted was them to cop to making a mistake and they didn't. What pissed me off most was their denial of responsibility. read more
