I stopped in to pick up a couple parts for my Yamaha motor was unaware. They're a mostly online parts dealer. They did sell me the parts at a inflated price when I left the store. I checked the online site and each part was at least $20 cheaper online shame on you for ripping off your local customers. Now I understand the bad reviews. read more

I wouldn't buy from this company because the product has to be modified to fit & the customer service from the owner JOE is the worst. I called to make sure this would fit my 2010 Chaparral before I bought it. Chaparral Seat Slide & Swivel base 2008 TO 2020 SKU:20000-77. I was told yes it fits. I ordered & paid for it. I received the seat base. I had questions about where was the manual to show how to disassemble the cables to install thru the arm rest as per this seat requires. Joe the owner said he would have his tech get a hold of me the next day. I called the next day before they closed since I hadn't heard back. Joe changed his story & said maybe he would get back to me in a week or two. I reminded him he had told me yesterday he would get me the information today. Joe then got mad. Joe told me that "HE MAKES TEN MILLION A YEAR WITH HIS BUSSINESS & DOESN'T CARE ABOUT MY FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS." At that point I told him I would report this in my review. That being said, I'll follow with Cecile Marine may be one of South Jerseys best hidden gems. If you're a boat owner or plan on owning one soon, you must give this place a visit. Their parts store is spot on. Their selection is heavily stocked with top of the line marine products. Unlike West Marine, you're not going to find shelves of countless manufactures selling the same product while you stand there wondering which one is right for your boat. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and always eager to assist. If you think you got a question that might stump them, think again. In a nutshell, Cecil Marine is in a league of their own and if I may say, it's guys like this that should be running our government. Cecil Marine had performed the initial bottom painting of our boat this past spring. Yesterday the boat was taken out of the water for winter storage and saw that a significant amount of the paint had come off . Needless to say we are not happy with the work that Cecil performed. We feel that if it was done properly it should not have peeled off after 7 months in the water. Highly disappointed . read more

I was looking online for a new boat the website stated they have three in stock and more coming in so we decided to take a ride to the dealership since they did not answer the phone when we tried to call them. upon arriving the front door was locked so he went to the side and knocked a gentleman from the parts department came out and did get a salesman they informed me all the boats are sold and didn't seem interested in talking about a order for next year if you're looking for personable people avoid this dealership it looks like it's close to Going out of business sale read more

What matters are the days in between You need to rely on the vendor during this time - You can not rely on Joe or Cecil Marine. 0 integrity from this owner of the company. Absolutely Horrible! I will never do business with Cecil Marine ever again. Purchased a used boat from a private party. Cecil Marine was recommended to handle a haul out. I ordered a brand new Sea Lion trailer for the boat. When the boat arrived to Cecil Marine it lacked items I had requested in the estimate. These items were clearly on my invoice, I had paid for them in full. Paul Celano called me to tell me my trailer would not have these items. He then sent me a "revised" receipt for the trailer, no compensation for the missing items. He tried to be tricky on this part and state in his email that the reason for the revised invoice was to clarify the year model of the new trailer! When my transport company arrived to pick up my boat/trailer I received a call from Paul and Joe Celano stating I had a balance of $300??? These guys held my boat hostage and would not let it leave until this was paid. My initial receipt states that everything was paid in full. Absolute Crooks! Even when I brought up the missing items on my brand new trailer that I paid for these guys didn't skip a beat to tell me they would not refund me any money! STAY AWAY FROM CECIL MARINE! read more

My friends and I are new boaters and we just bought a boat and our throttle stopped working, so the boat wouldn't go forward or in reverse. We tried calling a variety of places to see if they had a specific throttle and no one was helping us or providing us with the information needed. Finally, we found Cecil Marine and Paul was a significant help with getting the throttle we needed for our boat. The throttle was ordered by Paul when we called around 4pm and it arrived the following morning around 8am. After this incident, our boat wasn't starting because we had the wrong starter. Once again, Paul went out of his way to look up the starter serial number we needed for our specific engine. Paul has been a significant help, thank you so much for taking your time and actually talking to us and providing us with helpful information! read more

My husband spent a lot of time negotiating with Paul Celano on a boat sale in the last few weeks as we did not have a good experience purchasing our first boat a few years back(not at this dealership) they finally came to an agreement. Paul sent over the sales agreement dated 4/27/20 with purchase price disclosed. Based on that agreement we went ahead with the loan process and were approved 4/28. (Which I never would have done if I knew what was going to happen as I hate having inquiries on my credit) Fast forward to yesterday 5/4/20..... Paul leaves voicemail stating that price is no longer valid and wants us to pay thousands more.?!?!?!! Very disappointed and disgusted by this and obviously we will be taking our business elsewhere. Wonder if it's some sort of scam to get people's personal info? Or just poor business ethic? Either way I think this business should re-evaluate their dishonest business practices and I clearly do not recommend doing business with them. read more

I have dealt with Cecil Marine in the past and had a pleasant experience. Today was a different story. I called to ask about a factory bimini for my boat and was told they won't order or mess with OE biminis for Chaparral boats. I asked why and he told me the freight costs were too high. I told him I would likely be willing to pay the higher freight costs because I really want the bimini that goes with the boat. He told me it wasn't worth the bother. I asked if he had any suggestions and he told me in a very condescending manner, "don't buy a boat without a bimini." read more

Horrible customer service. Ordered a stern light plug online Tuesday night. Paid an extra $17.58 for second day UPS Air because I needed the plug Friday for 4th of July weekend. Called and spoke with Jo Wednesday morning to verify the part was in stock and would ship out to arrive for Friday. Jo assured me it was and would. After recieving a USPS TRACKING NUMBER that after noon finding out it shipped standard mail and would not get here until sat. (Sat I will have already left town) I called Jo back first thing Thursday morning. Told him the issue and requested he overnight another one to me and I would return the original when I got back next week. He firmly said he would do nothing of the sort, the only thing he would do is reimburse $8 (the difference between standard mail and 2nd day UPS) and tough shit that I went through several steps to ensure the part would get here when I needed it and they screwed up 4th of July holiday for my family. Obviously this is all the customers fault for choosing such a subpar business to deal with, FIRST AND LAST TIME CUSTOMER! I'm in sales and if management caught wind of me treating a customer the way Jo did my job would be toast! read more

I needed a new horn for my boat, local Chaparral dealer parts referred me to the internet instead of selling me the part. I contacted and ordered the horn from Cecil Marine, correct part arrived on time. Joe was great with all questions and really went out of his way to make sure I had what i needed.
