First time visit. Very attractively designed interior. Items on display look quite good. The food items that I had were relatively good except for the veggie quiche. Overbaked or over-reheated, not fluffy, eggs and veggie proportions not well balanced. I would give the quiche a 2 out of 10. I will give this place another try soon with my family so as to get a better idea of their selections and quality. My server was very nice and efficient, but didn't offer to make up for the poor quiche. read more

Went this morning for croissants and a frittata. Both were delicious. The capuccinos were on point. The decor is elegant and pleasant, as is the service. They have a beautiful display of desserts which we could not resist. Tried the Ivory tart and it was amazing. Will return. read more

A good French bakery is top of my list of favorite things ever. Cecile is now officially on my rotation. Boyfriend and I went on Sunday around lunch time. We started with two cappuccinos and an order of bread and jam. The. Best. Jam. Ever. Seriously... I don't think I've ever had better jam. And they sell it in jars, so of course I had to buy one. We also ordered a chocolate croissant which was ridiculously flakey and delicious. We moved on to our entrees. I ordered the quiche Lorraine and he ordered the huevos ibéricos. The quiche Lorraine was very good. It was light and fluffy. We had a little mishap with the huevos ibéricos, as it was missing the chorizo. We pointed it out to our waitress who went to inquire what happened and returned to inform us that they ran out. They should have let us know and given us the opportunity to pick something else, but she brought out extra ham, apologized, and comped the meal.. none of which we asked for. So I appreciate the commitment to customer service. Before leaving I bought a bag of mini palmiers and they were DE.LISH. The owners are French and they definitely know what they're doing. Went for lunch & it was busy but there were plenty of seats available just a bit slow service. We decided on the prosciutto sandwich with tomato soup & the quiche with butternut squash soup & ordered some teas & macaroons for dessert. The food is good & the atmosphere was nice. Good products but poor service. They messed up our order and response was indifferent bordering on rude.

Very bad experience. Bad social distancing measures, the tables were on top of each other. Also, we waited for our food for 1 hour, and we were on a tight schedule. When they finally brought the food, they messed up the whole order. We were very specific on what we ordered. We asked them to fix it, and they took forever. When they finally brought it, they managed to mess it up again. We waited inside for a half hour to get the missing food. When it was our turn, they told us that they were out of the food we came to get. I can definitely say I was disappointed with the service and expected much better from them. read more

Indifferent and unapologetic service after they gave my order to someone else, the staff and the owner were totally indifferent.

I thought this place will be the nice place to have a sandwich. But i was wrong. The worse service and the worse sandwich. It says that it was a prosciutto with mozzarella, provolone, arugula, salami and other stuff that I never saw in my sandwich. When I came across about this I called the girl and said that I have asked the sandwich with no provolone but that the sandwich does not have the mozzarella neither. She took my plate with my sandwich bitten and returned it back same bread already bitten and the cheese inside. I have to tell that I eat it because I was starving. The owner was there and he didn't take care at all. Think twice before go inside. read more

After wishing Franck Monnier would open up a bakery/cafe, he finally did last year in South Miami! Cecile Bakery (named after his daughter) is a wonderful cafe that is as warm and inviting as it is delicious. A great spot for a quick coffee with friends or a more prolonged brunch/lunch, the menu is original and the staff friendly and helpful. Franck Monnier is always there (and often his lovely wife as well) making sure that everyone is being well-served and not in need of anything. A fad chasing friend kept hectoring my wife and I to go to this place. We have been long time breakfast patrons of Deli-Lane just up the street. So, on Labor Day, we decided to compare and contrast. I expected less of this place and because of my reading of some of the reviews and it did not disappoint. We dropped in before any crowd: there were a few police officers there before us but they were already served. We will not be going back. I ordered the Garden Omelette which was okay. My wife ordered the Breakfast sandwich which she loved. We each had drip coffee. My omelette came with toast but no butter or jam given or offered. No coffee refills offered [more than one cup for coffee addicts is a given]. No one checked on us and it was next to impossible to flag any one down. We stopped trying. Deli-lane, their breakfast competition, offer attentive service, coffee refills, butter and jam, AND reasonable prices. At the end, when the check came, I asked if refills were extra and the server said no one refill was par. My wife asked for more; I got more as well a less than HALF a cup. I believe the owner/manager was sitting behind us doing the books. I hope he heard my disappointment I expressed to my wife. I suspect this is one of those places that instruct their staff not offer extra [coffee, butter, jam] unless asked. Perhaps but such nickel and dime behavior makes me, and I sure others, not wanting to come back. The one star accurately expresses my disappointment AND I hope it attracts the attention of the owner. read more

Tried to order the Asian Shirt Rib grilled cheese without onions. Was told that was not possible since sandwiches are pre-made. Tried to order the Prosciutto and Mozzarella without pesto and this was also a "no go". Had the eggs Benedict which were just ok. The barista with the curly hair is spectacular and so adorable :) My favorite thing is the eggs benedict... absolutely amazing! I also love the iced chai latte! They say that you may only get one chance to impress a customer, so make their experience exceptional. Cecile's did not and it was not just us but the table next to us ( different servers). First we went in and it was full and we were glad of that. We had 3 employees acknowledge us so we felt pleased at their service. Sat down and ordered coffee. They brought it in a carafe filled for 2 cups each, so again impressed. No crème. Had to ask for it 3 times from 3 different employees. When it came a whole crème cup would not lighten up the coffee. It was the worst coffee ever and tasted burnt. Must had been on the burner too long. Ordered and the wait was extensive. Yes they were busy but there were enough staff to work a huge restaurant and this place has under 20 tables. Food was cold. Had to send it back and this was the first time I have ever done this. Server was very kind, apologetic and truly cared about our experience. Food was very good and we recommend the French toast and nutella pancakes. Table next to us had to get up to get someone to take their order. They asked for butter 3 times before they got it. The problem is the servers place the food down and run. They need to stop and ask if all is ok before they step away. This starts with proper training which this place has not done with their staff. Way over staffed and everyone runs like an ant, but are not coordinated with the customers needs. Benefit of the doubt as they are new and we will give them another chance, which the table next to us will not. Train your staff and make your place efficient. Atmosphere and food were fine, except for the worst coffee in the world. read more
