I hesitated on writing this review, but my husband told me I needed to say something. I wanted to love this place. Not only was it my first time coming in, but it might be my last. I walked in 15 minutes before closing, I know the employees are trying to race out but that is no excuse to give me the experience I had. I was reading the board trying to figure out what I wanted since it was my first time coming in when the guy with earrings asked me what I wanted. I told him my husband's order and I pronounced it wrong and he threw a major attitude. I let it roll off my shoulder, I figured it almost closing don't freak out. Well I start to order what I wanted to eat which was the beef kabob rice bowl, and he tells me to my face that it takes 10 minutes to cook and they're only open for 15 more minutes! Excuse me!! I came in before closing, and you will have spare time? He begins to huff and puff and yell 86 beef kabob, just major attitude. I tried to ask about the meat, and he wouldn't answer me and proceeded to walk away. I needed to know if it was spicy due to me not being able to handle spicy food, but I took the risk. I work in customer service in the food industry and I would never tell someone that. Regardless of us closing or not, the guest came in before closing, the kitchen may not like it but we have a closing time and a before closing time and if they order before then you suck it up and cook it for them. He was beyond rude and it made me uncomfortable. The second man that helped me was in a rush but he was at least considerate. I'm sorry I came in before closing but in no way is it okay to treat a customer like their service isn't wanted because it takes 10 minutes to cook!! The food was good, but the service was terrible and awkward for a meal that took 10 minutes...I was willing to wait, people were still picking up their togos and the staff was Cheerio to see them but mad about making a beef kabob, also there were people still eating in the restaurant chatting away and the staff seemed unbothered that they were there but irritated about a beef kabob? Either way I'm going to consider coming back but not if the guy with the earrings is there. read more

I can't quite put to words how I feel about this place. I finished my Mykonos gyro in literal minutes and could have had another if it wasn't for my self control. It was quick, the guy behind the counter let us try a couple of the sauces since we were really the only ones in here, and their selection is different than other Greek places around here. First let me start off by saying that I love this place and I have eaten here a number of times of the years. The food is very good and the employees are very pleasant. The strawberry salad, which is what they're most well known for is fantastic. I do have so say that I've been disappointed to see that they have slowly started to put less and less amounts of food in this salad over the years. When they were at their original location, they used to give you a very large amount of food. Then when they moved to the Norwell location, they switched it to a to go box which cut the amount of food you receive by a significant amount. They also started to cut back in the amount of strawberries that they give you. They also eliminated the almonds altogether. I understand that food costs have risen and it's hard to raise prices, but this salad was never inexpensive to begin with. I continue to get it, but I hope that they take this constructive feedback and start to give people more for their money. Thanks read more

Okay food but one of the worst ordering experiences I've ever had. Everyone behind the counter seemed incredibly overwhelmed and were very short with their customers. I go to Zo in downtown boston quite a bit and that is my benchmark for a quailty gyro and or plate. They food is always consistent, hot and delicious. I gave this place a shot a few weeks back after a good friend posted their grand opening. The menu looked great and they stuff French fries into their gyro pita rollup, so I thought authentic and winning combination. I ordered 2 loaded rollups to go. When I got home, I found the fresh pork gyro meat flavorful but riddled with visible strips of fat (50/50) and the fries to be cold and well under cooked. This place has tremendous potential and the folks there were super nice and service was quick. I'm going to chaulk it up to operational issues and hope the food quality improves. read more

Lunch was absolutely delicious. Fresh, house made ingredients in every option. And there were so many options! We will be back to try them all. I had been wanting to try this place for a while and checked reviews before stopping. The one about not allowing an order close to closing caught our attention so we called in advance and arrived around 7:38. All chairs were on top of the tables to ensure no one got any ideas about eating their food there. Did anyone ever consider that customers might want to sit while they wait 10 minutes for their order! On to the food - let's just say it was mediocre at best. Chicken kebabs were grilled chicken cut into squares after cooking (?), veggies were clearly on the stove for a long time and the rice was Near East (why not make your own pilaf). My family and I tried the spicy chicken gyro and chicken rice bowls and both were really good. Fresh and delicious and generous portions. I like how they put fries in the gyro. The salads look good too. The people were really friendly and the place has lots of seating. Great spot to grab something quick and nice alternative to sandwiches. I never write reviews but had to after the great experience we had yesterday. A few of the doctors at my work wanted to do lunch for the employee and Pita Gyros is the favorite around the office. I called two days prior to put the catering order in and talked to a very nice gentleman who I believe is the owner. He was very pleasant and was great about answering any questions I had. The food was absolutely delicious and a big hit with everyone. The owner delivered it and was so helpful with bringing it in. We have used other restaurants around Norwell for catering but I think this might be our new go-to not only because of the delicious food but because of the great customer service as well! read more

Great food, great choices. One of the best lunch/dinner options for Norwell area. Really tasty, and pretty freaking authentic greek street food. Two things, the server who looks like he owns/runs the place, needs to chill and not look like he's so eager to serve you he's going to have a panic attack. Secondly, there are options on the menu board that are great, but there's also the option to build you own gyro, which is great, but when you do isn't not made easy, it's like you're pushed towards ordering what they have ready. I came in the other day, ordered a gyro that included fries, I was asked did I want fries, yeah, of course, I ordered the one that includes fries. Ok the guy says, then walks away and we spend 10 mins standing at the counter as he puts frozen fries in the frier and says nothing. LIke nothing. No acknowlegment. No "it'll just be a few mins, we don't have any fries ready", like nothing. He just wanders around behind the counter pretending to do stuff. It was weird. We just discovered this place a few weeks ago...have always loved The Cedar Café. Pita Gyros is terrific...the food is delicious and fast. The restaurant if you wanted to eat in is clean and pleasant. The people that work there are friendly and courteous! We have had the rice bowls...amazing! A couple of specialty wraps...amazing! The falafel is flavorful but the spicy chicken...so good. We haven't found any item that wasn't a hit. read more

horrible customer service!!!! an employee and the owner argued on the phone with me for over ten minutes about my order that they misunderstood when i placed the order. the owner hung up on me several times and refused to fix my issue or refund me my money after i told him i would more than happily return the food. read more

Went last night for the first time and LOVED it! Their Authentic gyro was amazing -- pork, french fries (I know but seriously try it, it's delicious!), tzatziki, fresh tomato, a special sauce (had a tiny kick but not overall spicy) and I skipped the onions and they suggested substituting cucumbers which was a nice addition! I have tried gyros numerous places since going to Greece and have always been a little disappointed. But Pita Gyros is the best I have had here! For my fellow lamb lovers, no they don't have lamb but the shaved pork was cooked perfectly and I wasn't wishing it were lamb while I was indulging. The pita wraps themselves are FRESH and delicious. They have various Gyros to pick from (which I saw numerous ones that I can't wait to try) or you can create your own. They also have salads and rice bowls if you're going for a healthier option! Staff was very friendly and they have plenty of space to eat there (if you're going for a gyro I'd suggest eating there).
