I had my Mother's Day celebration here and it was perfect. Parking; There is ample parking Restroom: them actually having a facilities and it's what you'd expect for a public park. A place to go in, do what you need and leave. Walking trail: Nice and clearly marked. It's about a mile long and has markers all over. Playground: there are a few. Big and small. Lots of wooden swings as well. There are signs throughout the park that has mindful activities or educational purposes. Creek: There is a creek that runs around the park. Grills: The have lots of charcoal grills that you can use if that's your thing. I prefer to bring my own small one. Lots of areas to hammock. (Even by the creek) Picnic Tables: All over. Pavilions: They have small and large ones with electric outlets and tables. Very reasonable if you live in Wilson Co. This is a nice park. I always see park employees riding around maintaining the grounds. Also offer a place to charge electric vehicles.

Bathrooms are dated, but cleaner than most rest stops. The walking/biking path is 100% well kept and my personal favorite part of the park. I am hoping to come back with my grands, and from afar the playground looks like a kids dream. Fitness park definitely is in disrepair. But I love the idea of it. The wading pool was closed and the water looked clean, but was full of leaves (it was just fall y'all) The creek behind the park was peaceful and pretty. Finally, leaving a one star because they dont allow dogs doesn't set well with me. Because there were so many young kids on bikes and skates, I can see where a dog could get hurt or cause a new rider to get hurt. There are plenty of dog friendly parks, but not nearly the amount of skate/bike friendly places for younger kids. As a dog owner, I wouldn't want to walk my elderly dog here. And honestly, it was refreshing not having to navigate piles of dog waste. But that's a rant for another park!

We've driven past this park numerous times, but never officially stopped to visit, until today! The…read moreentrance for the park is right behind a Dairy Queen drive-thru which can act as a bonus treat for walking this loop a few times. There's a creek that runs alongside of the walking trail and a small grouping of trees at the end of the loop. These offer some shade and two swinging benches to take a quick break from the summer heat. Beyond that this trail is mostly in the sun, but stays flat the entire way. It's great for running, dog walking or teaching kids how to ride a bike away from traffic. There is an open field area that I guess you could have a picnic on, but you're right next to Mt. Juliet rod so there's a lot of noise traffic noise. Plus there are also two wetland sections that I'm sure have a ton of mosquitos. Maybe just get in a few quick laps here and take off. According to my phone, one lap around is 2,500 steps. Get into it!

Walk this park, along the small river and imagine yourself here without the car waiting to take you back to town, to Sonic for a diet cherry limeade. What would you see and hear thousands of years ago walking this land?The trees you see today are probably less than 40 years old. Would the fields have been cleared of growth thousands of years ago? Three stars is for the lack of information about the hard to follow trail and the location of the mounds. Otherwise, it's a nice little detour. The trail is not very developed but it's also not crazily hard. It's a pleasant loop that takes you alongside a small river. A super peaceful walk. We all inspected the rocks and found fossils, bones, mussel shells. It's hypnotic and meditative to scrounge for fossils and the odd looking stone on the banks of a river on a peaceful cool day. Afterwards, my crew was sedate, lost in their own thoughts, feeling that good tired from fresh air and exertion. Looking forward to a hot meal and their pillows. Not for strollers but toddlers can manage the trail just fine. Ground is a little uneven so those who are insecure about walking a field, this won't feel comfortable but its manageable. The rocks and bubbling river are peaceful and lovely. Be careful during heavy rains. The water comes up easily 4-5 feet. Come before the sun sets. A sunset is spectacular and gives you the most wonderful light for sweet pictures.

Gallatin Police Dept make frequent trips to the park. If you do intermediate that goes to across the street, watch for cars, they like to race down this street. This park is excellent cardio workout. When I first started I was actually scared of the beginners section lol. The playground is cool. I love the 3 sections across the street. The Jeep trail wipes me out but I love it! I do all but the advanced which is edgy by the lake and I have fear of falling so i can't do it. Please come and enjoy! The guys at Bikers Choice have made this ride enjoyable! It is…read morewell paved not a bad trail to stretch your legs, run, walk, etc. However, it's along a bit of water too and the gnats are out in full force. I've never seen so many people walking while flailing their arms out in front of them to avoid eating bugs, getting bugs in their eyes, having the bugs die in their hair. It would have been comical if I wasn't flailing around, too! I definitely got home and saw that my hair line/hair had a few dead bugs in it. BUGGY. Pretty disgusting. Maybe that's seasonal and the gnats will be dead soon? If that's the case, I'd definitely consider walking along this well paved path again.

I could hear and feel them…read more There is a sign posted letting you know if you have medical issues that the powerlines could affect to basically not enter the park. There is a play area for kids, and a nice picnic area that is covered. It is also right by a creek. There is an area for big dogs with tunnels to go through, and an area for small dogs with smaller tunnels. The problem with the small dog area is that there is a huge gap in the fencing. Even-if it was half the size my dog could get out of it. We still played in there, and I wasn't worried at all because when I tell my dog to freeze he immediately does so- even if he is in the air he will come down, and land in a position where he does not move. If there is any doubt that your dog won't stop exactly when you tell him/her to please be careful or block the open spot. It is right by the road, so they would run directly into the road. I taught my dog how to go through tunnels here. Very happy for the experience.
