I have no issues with pets at all but it not allowing pets is the reason I enjoy it so much more. I…read moreknow dogs are apart of many families but there are LOTS of people who don't clean up after their pets in public spaces. This park is always clean!!! I had my Mother's Day celebration here and it was perfect. Parking; There is ample parking Restroom: them actually having a facilities and it's what you'd expect for a public park. A place to go in, do what you need and leave. Walking trail: Nice and clearly marked. It's about a mile long and has markers all over. Playground: there are a few. Big and small. Lots of wooden swings as well. There are signs throughout the park that has mindful activities or educational purposes. Creek: There is a creek that runs around the park. Grills: The have lots of charcoal grills that you can use if that's your thing. I prefer to bring my own small one. Lots of areas to hammock. (Even by the creek) Picnic Tables: All over. Pavilions: They have small and large ones with electric outlets and tables. Very reasonable if you live in Wilson Co. This is a nice park. I always see park employees riding around maintaining the grounds. Also offer a place to charge electric vehicles.

Bathrooms are dated, but cleaner than most rest stops. The walking/biking path is 100% well kept and my personal favorite part of the park. I am hoping to come back with my grands, and from afar the playground looks like a kids dream. Fitness park definitely is in disrepair. But I love the idea of it. The wading pool was closed and the water looked clean, but was full of leaves (it was just fall y'all) The creek behind the park was peaceful and pretty. Finally, leaving a one star because they dont allow dogs doesn't set well with me. Because there were so many young kids on bikes and skates, I can see where a dog could get hurt or cause a new rider to get hurt. There are plenty of dog friendly parks, but not nearly the amount of skate/bike friendly places for younger kids. As a dog owner, I wouldn't want to walk my elderly dog here. And honestly, it was refreshing not having to navigate piles of dog waste. But that's a rant for another park!

Walkers go one direction and wheeled patrons the other. Being able to see each other means less accidental contact!

Great par three disc golf course for beginners…read more This course is a full 18 holes and follows a pretty tight circle pattern, in fact you can pretty much see the parking lot from every tee box. The fairways are pretty tight in some spots and if I were you, I would play with a bright colored disc. If your shot goes into the wooded areas there's a good chance you could lose one of your discs. The course is very secluded, literally there's nothing around here. There are no bathrooms and just a small 8 spot parking lot. The neighborhoods down the street are quickly developing and pretty soon this place could be a very busy. So if you're looking to get in here before the crowds, now is the time!

We had a blast, even though none of us had played before. My mom enjoyed it, too, and she's in her 70s, so this game can be enjoyed by anyone! The shade provided by the beautiful trees makes it feel like you're enjoying nature while you're getting in a bit of exercise & having some fun with family & friends. The course was easy to follow & we saw a few people who are really great at this game, but they were gracious to our large group & we also let the fast players pass our slow group. The course is well maintained & there are slight inclines and declines on the route. A fun activity for anyone to enjoy, at any skill level!
