LOTS OF SPACE WITH DECENT COFFEE (Warning: young adults from Central Florida in for vacation) As someone who makes Cold Brew, I'm always a bit stumped when a Cold Brew tastes bitter... and Cedar Coffee's version was definitely bitter. On the other hand, they redeemed themselves with their Lattes which carried a great Espresso flavor and featured a few creative concoctions. The prices were also appropriate for this establishment. THANK YOU TO THE LONG-HAIRED BARISTA One taste of my order and I knew it was incorrect, but before I even stood up, the Barista came around, handed me my correct order and allowed me to keep the other one too. Thank you! My Honey Lavender Latte featured the honey well and had great wispy Lavender notes. MINIMALIST LOOK AND SUPPORTS STUDYING Something about the atmosphere made me want to focus on my work... and we weren't the only ones. Many of the café tables were great for others who were intent on their laptop screens. There's actually more space inside to add more tables, but I'm glad for that open area so it doesn't feel so crowded. read more

What a pleasant surprise in Alpine!? This coffee shop is so cute and quaint. It has all your coffee desires from drip, to oat milk lattes to cold brew. Any coffee snob would love this spot and it is must have in Alpine. It does get busy so keep that in mind if you are in a rush! I plan to stop there again next time I'm in town. read more

Love the minimalistic atmosphere! Everything is simple and neat - very eye pleasing. The storefront sign at the corner of the window to the single succulent sitting on a table against one wall - they definitely know what hipsters like! I was a little bit bummed that they didn't have honey lavender or pastries available as I've read great things about both. I ordered the orange blossom hot latte instead and I was still very pleased! I have to come in another day to try out that honey lavender and get their pastries. The owner is also very nice and knowledgable about coffee. It's cute that him and his wife (she makes the pastries!) opened this neat little coffee shop! All you coffee lovers, tea goers and simply hipsters - definitely come and start off your day here! Excellent London Fog! Not too sweet, but just right. Came in during art walk to snag a chair and do some reading. There's some nice, spread out seating and the whole place has that the sparse modern look that's popular in most trendy coffee houses. However, unlike a lot of the places I've been in Los Angeles that have literal concrete blocks for seating, the mod chair I sat in here was stupendously comfortable for the hour plus I was reading. The baristas were also very nice. Great place to grab a drink if you need a caffeine fix in Alpine. read more

Love this place! Been here a couple of times and still can't complain. The staff is super friendly and will do about anything to accommodate. I would say that they are handling covid really well. You can sit down and chat but everything is served carry-out. read more

If you were beamed into this cafe and didn't know where you were, you'd think you were in some trendy district! However, this is a cool coffee shop in downtown Alpine and the coffee is fantastic. The only reason this place gets 3 stars is because it is a well thought out brand (at least it seems to be), a beautiful space and good coffee. Otherwise...it's a 2 at best. I've been in more than once just to give it a couple tries (having been a barista myself I understand that some days we are just human). The staff are not friendly. Particularly one young girl who never says ANYTHING unless the customer asks her a question. She speaks so quietly it's hard to hear her. She doesn't smile at all...except to the other people she works with. All the staff members seem more concerned with their cell phones than they do with connecting to their customers who are their community. A man actually walked in, roamed around for a minute then said "I don't know what to do or where to order?" The same girl just looked at him (again no smile or attempt at one) and said "here..." I get it, they are going for the cool hipster instagram moment vibes, which is fine but that doesn't mean you can't also have good customer service. it's so disheartening to see places with such potential hire unmotivated, completely uninterested staff who act like if they just show up that's enough. This coffee shop could and should be great. Again, coffee is wonderful and the space is gorgeous. Feels like a bit of the big city in a small town. Unfortunately, the staff brings the "passive, I don't care" attitude of the big city with it. read more

Im a sucker for coffee places. This is a typical NYC hipster coffee shop in the middle of Alpine, Texas. Unbelievable. The lattes are good as is the vibe. Plenty of seating along with good wifi. And the hours are unbelievably long for a place where everything closes at noon. Highly recommend. Bring a book and unearth your inner hipster. read more

After driving to Alpine to go to the pharmacy and buy some ammo (unrelated trips, I swear) I was wondering how anybody could bear living in Alpine. Sure, it's beautiful, but I just couldn't live somewhere that didn't have bougie coffee shops that I've grown accustomed to from Portland and Los Angeles. ... Then we walked past Cedar Coffee Supply. Oh, I get it. I could totally live in Alpine. I got an iced chai latte which was great- lots of spices to balance out the milk. My husband got an iced london fog (which we make at home a lot,) and we sat against the wall and enjoyed the minimal chic cafe. Cedar is really a cool place and I think it brings Alpine's stock up, even if it's just a smidge. read more

You cant figure much out by relying on the signage. You are placed in the uncomfortable position of asking several questions. The menu on the wall needs serious help --did not list availability of standard coffee drinks like Americanos, macchiatos, etc. Did not say anything about food being offered, which it was, but it ended 5 minutes before i got there. No bathroom anywhere in sight and I was supposed to ask, I guess. Not too fun.... My small latte was delicious but had a high price of $4.00... glad this place is here , but it would be great if more signs and/or menus were clearly available. My sister and I stopped in on the way out of town the Saturday after Thanksgiving ('16). We chatted with one of the owners. He was very friendly. The coffee was excellent. I had an Orange Blossom Latte. My sister had a Mocha. We both enjoyed a ham and Muenster crepe while sitting at an outside table. Prices are very reasonable. We'll definitely visit this cool spot again when we make it back to Alpine. read more

Great coffee - quite likely the best dirty chai I have ever had. Owner was really nice and gave us a recommendation for where to get a good breakfast burrito for on-the-go (Alicia's Burrito Place).
