The staff were very welcoming, greeting us as we came in. When deciding on a sandwich, you get to pick the bread, the meat, the veggies and the condiments so literally no two sandwiches could be alike. The sandwich also came with a side (we opted for the coleslaw and the fruit) and by far, it was a good little bite that held us over as we continued to explore the area. They have seating inside as well as outside and it's worth the stop and taking a peek inside.

I didn't get a chance to ask who roasts their coffee, but the light roast was impressively smooth, almost tea-like, with none of the bitterness you'd expect. I also ordered a mocha latte and loved that they make their syrups in-house--the freshness really comes through, a welcome change from the usual plastic-bottle pumps. Overall, it's a calming, rejuvenating space and an easy place to slow down and enjoy a great cup of coffee.

The biscuit was a little dry, which was a bummer since that's supposed to be the star of the show. I kept wishing for some butter or sauce to bring it together. On the flip side, I also grabbed a slice of cake and that was excellent, easily my favorite thing I ate there. For drinks, I got a matcha latte. They warned me the matcha was a bit earthy and suggested adding sweetener, which I did. I always wonder if "earthy" is code for lower-quality matcha, if ceremonial matcha doesn't really need sugar, but with the sweetener it was totally fine and enjoyable. The space itself is cute and very Marfa. It's in a converted gas station that's part coffee shop, part vintage clothing store, with vintage motorcycles to keep the gas station theme going. There are only a couple of tables, and it's not really a place I felt like lingering with a book or a laptop. More of a grab-a-coffee-and-move-on kind of spot. If you're visiting Marfa and heading out to explore, it's perfect for that. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. They were attentive, brought my food to the table even though they initially said it would be window pickup, and the place is dog-friendly, very relaxed, and unpretentious. They make some excellent drinks and the staff is very friendly. The shop is in a old gas station so there is plenty of parking and places to sit inside and out. This is a very chill shop with relaxing vibes in the creative town of Marfa Texas. Marfa, by the way, is a pretty awesome place to visit :)

The far west end where I thought I needed to go was closed. Another door - maybe two - led to employee-only or FedEx or maybe UPS-only areas. Eventually through the fish aquarium-like entrance I saw displays and what seemed like a menu. No one was up front in the surprisingly dusty, dirty room. Or was that ground coffee powder? Lol. After milling around a moment looking at the flavors, I finally saw a doorbell to ring for service on the dang table. I settled on a Vienna roast called "Dark Skies" ($14 per 1-lb. bag) that is rich and smooth just like the packaging says... I tried it today.
