The cake I received on my wedding day was not decorated as nicely as their design picture. It had half the decorations as pictured and what was there was very amateurish. I contacted them regarding the finished result and was told that they use a professional photographer for their design book. This professional photographer makes the cakes much better looking than they are in real life! Can you believe they said that? If they cannot produce the product as advertised and sold to the customer then it should not be available! It has been over a year and NO ONE from the cakery has responded! Terrible service! I was not expecting a refund only an apology and acknowledgement that they messed up.

We went later in the day on a weekend so lots of goodies were snatched up already. That's just how good their treats are. Mostly known for the sweets but they've also got cafe lunch items and coffee options. Goodies we got included: Chocolate Nirvana Butterscotch Pecan Scone Chocolate Chip Cookie Not pictured but an all time favorite is their Monkey Business dessert. Definitely a tasty treat destination if you're visiting Anoka. Don't snooze on Main Street's cute shops and businesses to check out. Enjoy! After googling to try to find a good tres leches cake in the Twin Cities I noticed this one came up…read moreon several lists - I needed one for a birthday and was quoted $50 for this 6 inch cake. I was a bit nervous as $50 seemed a little high but after picking it up and seeing how gorgeous it was in person I was already happy with my decision. The best past was obviously cutting into and eating it! I bake frequently as a hobby and would pay $50 again for this cake in a HEARTBEAT. The texture, the flavor, the consistency in both the cake layer heights and how they were baked - it all was perfect. We got 8 generous slices out of this cake and everyone was able to enjoy the fresh fruit on top (although the dipped strawberries I think are the best!). It was perfectly soaked so that it wasn't dry whatsoever but also was able to stand up and not squish under the weight of the toppings. The cake also wasn't too sweet whatsoever (the boarder frosting on the bottom was a little sweet but there's so little of it it didn't make a difference). Overall definitely happy with this purchase and will be ordering from Pastelería Gama again in the future!
