Time to update my review from 2 years ago. I ended up going here 6 times this go around 2 half…read moredays and 4 full days as this is my favorite amusement park I have visited as there is no place on earth. The only downside is I wish they had more peanuts theming and the peanuts show. They do the meet and greet which is great. We did ended up staying at the Cedar Point Express Hotel which is 5 minutes drive away. I wish they did have a path way for guests to walk, but that would be difficult the way the roads are setup. We arrive usually an hour before the park opens at 8am. There is a perk for Prestige and Gold Pass holders that you can get into the park 1 hour early. Parking lot is open 24/7 as we tend to head to the park early at around 8am to wait in line. Then at 8:40am, security comes in and opens up the line and then proceed to wait at the gate. Prestige holders pass line is on the way right side. Sometimes they have only 1 operator and sometimes 2. At 8:55am they usually let people in and during the national anthem. I wish they would let people in after as I want to stop and salute the flag, but that means I can not get into line quickly. The rides they have opened early were 1. Millennium Force (This one was closed on 3 of my visits) this is one of my favorite rides 2. Top Thrill 2 3. Gatekeeper 4. Siren's Curse I usually headed towards Siren's Curse first as that is usually a walk on and they have lockers to use for free and then head to Top Thrill 2 and then the hour is up. I did not ride Top Thrill 2 last time. For Top Thrill 2, you need to get a locker as you can not have anything in your pockets. They have an app you can use and the only thing is you have to remember the locker number and after waiting in line you might forget. Waiting in line for Top Thrill 2 can be boring as you see the same commercials and pick which car wins or find the trophy. I wish they had cartoons like they have at Six Flags. Top Thrill 2 the ride does break down quite a bit. Usually the downtime is 30 minutes to an hour. I waited 2 hours one time to ride. Here is my advice ride this during the early time as fast lane riders can not ride. They tend to do one for fast lane to let people ride and another train for regular queue. Besides the 2 rides, the park has not changed much over the 2 years. The food is the same, but I do like they have more soda fountains. Steel Vengeance line tends to be much shorter now. I remember waiting 90 minutes to do a ride, but now I only wait 30 minutes and I was able to ride this ride multiple times during the day and made a lot of fun. Once I got off the ride, I just went back in line without retrieving my items and was able to do this for an hour. Maverick tends to have a very long line and I only waited in the queue one time. But expect to have 90 minutes. The park only has 1 water ride and that is Thunder Canyon which is in the back of the park and will get you soaked. I ended up riding this 4 to 5 times per visit as the wait time were only 10 minutes. You can go bare footed if you want. They go rid of the other water ride. Hopefully in the future Cedar Point can get another water ride. Food wise I still like going to the Farm house near Maverick and the Beach Pavilion in were Wicked Twister used to be. The fast lane did work for us. The only challenge is the ability to use it on Top Thrill 2 as you need to get a locker. I wonder if you can use it. My wife said the watch might work or get a paper printer of the QR code of the pass might work. I will probably try it next time. If I have to change the park, this is what I would do. Get rid of the kiddy kingdom in front of the park as I believe it is doing nothing much. I see the place is not busy and really dead. Looks like a bunch of carnival rides. Redo the bathrooms near the arcade, they are old and outdated. Have another water ride and have more shade within especially with Siren's Curse. I never waited in the regular queue, but Overall, I had an enjoyable experience here. and still my favorite theme park.

We spent just one day in this park and that was enough. I brought my sons and a few of their…read morefriends for their Senior Trip to experience Cedar Point and we decided to break up our two park days with a day at Shores. The life guards were very attentive. We got the upgraded Deluxe Cabana and it turned out to be a great idea when an impromptu rainstorm rolled in. It included some really nice, embroidered towels as souvenirs. The food choices were sparse and exorbitantly expensive, just like inside Cedar Point, but getting the food pass at Shores would limit you mostly to pizza, Cuban sandwich, and a taco. Several of the slides were out of commission which is really the reason for the 3/5 score here.

So, if you either live close by or you have purchases a season pass for the year, this is a great place to come and cool off for the summer. I could see living nearby and buying a pass every year if I had small kids or a group of friends to hang out with, especially when the season pass is $99. Then coming here even twice would pay for itself. Since for the first time ever, we have a season pass, I would like to come back and relax at least one more time. But, if you are just coming here for the day without a season pass, it is not worth it at all. Everything is very old and not well taken care of. Everything is also covered in bird poop, and I literally mean everything. You could have thought they would have cleaned up for opening day, but nope! And you would have thought the rain would have gotten the poop off of literally every surface, but nope. This is a tiny place for the money compared to other waterparks that ask for similar entry fees. The prices for the food is high and when you ask the workers questions they do not even know the answers. I asked where the changing room was to get in and out of bathing suits, they did not know. Plus the lockers are not even near the changing rooms at all. Not very convenient to a point where a worker agreed it was not set up in a customer friendly manner. A lot of the rides were breaking or not open. The lazy river was slimy and very dirty. The entire place was a bit dirty, and again, it was opening day. f Plus there were a million bugs. I think I ate 15 just trying to climb up a slide with my poop covered tube. Then I flipped at the bottom of a slide and went under, and the lifeguard just watched me. I have been to many other places nearby. If you have the money, I would recommend just going to Kalahari if you want a waterpark. I liked Great Wolf and even Castaway Bay better. If you have a lot of money, I would recommend Volcano Bay or the Disney World Orlando waterparks over this one.

Greg's Coaster Collection: Ride #2 - Maverick Category:…read moreThrill Coaster | Rating: 5/5 | Best For: Coaster Enthusiasts & Adventure Seekers | Wait Time: Maverick is hands down one of my favorite coasters at Cedar Point. It's got this wild, untamed wilderness vibe that perfectly fits its name. The first lift hill leads into a jaw-dropping 95-degree drop that instantly wakes you up, followed by crazy, whip-fast turns that keep your heart racing the entire ride. The sleek design, bold colors, and overall atmosphere make it feel like you're on a roller coaster adventure through the backcountry. One of my favorite moments is the unexpected launch underneath the station that shoots you toward the water section -- it's a rush like no other. Like Millennium Force, Maverick's iconic silhouette is visible from the road as you approach the park, a beacon of thrills calling you in. Ride Stats: 4,450 feet of track * 70 mph top speed * 95-degree drop * 2 minutes 30 seconds ride time Best Seat: Front row for pure speed, back row for maximum airtime Pro Tip: Avoid the midday crowds -- rope drop or the last ride of the night means way less waiting. Photo-Worthy? Absolutely, especially near the first drop and water section. Personal Note: This coaster quickly became my favorite at Cedar Point for its unique mix of wild design and intense thrills. Every ride feels like a new adventure, and that launch under the station still gets me every time.

Greg's Coaster Collection: Ride #7 - Corkscrew Category:…read moreClassic Coaster | Rating: 3.5/5 | Best For: Nostalgics & Moderate Thrill Seekers | Wait Time: (usually short lines) Corkscrew is one of Cedar Point's original thrill rides and a true classic with its iconic blue-and-white color scheme. It's fast, it's compact, and if you've eaten recently, you might regret the ride -- those inversions pack a punch! It's not the scariest coaster in the park by any means, but it's definitely not for the faint of heart either. Plus, there's something fun about walking underneath as the trains zip overhead -- classic Cedar Point vibe right there. It's a quick ride and definitely less popular than it was back in the day, but still worth a spin if you want a taste of coaster history. Ride Stats: 2,200 feet of track * 48 mph top speed * 85-foot drop * 1 minute 40 seconds ride time Best Seat: Front row for smoother inversions, back row for extra speed Pro Tip: Best for a quick thrill when lines are short. Photo-Worthy? Only if you like shots of blue and white blur! Personal Note: Corkscrew might not be my top pick, but it's a classic that every Cedar Point fan should experience -- a nice throwback to the park's early thrill days.

It's one of the park's most beloved attractions and a true fan favorite. Nothing beats the thrill of racing head-to-head against your friends on the dual red and blue tracks -- and the signature "Can I get a high five?" moment as you zip side-by-side is pure adrenaline and fun. Gemini's classic wooden coaster feel packs a punch with its speed and smoothness, proving that old-school designs still hold their own in a park filled with giants. This coaster has been a park staple forever, and honestly, I hope they never get rid of it. Ride Stats: 3,264 feet of track (each side) * 60 mph top speed * 70-foot drop * 2 minutes ride time Best Seat: Back seats for extra airtime and speed Pro Tip: Ride during parades or midday for shorter lines. Photo-Worthy? Yes, especially during the head-to-head races. Personal Note: Gemini is the perfect mix of nostalgia, competition, and fun. Nothing beats the rush of racing friends and trying to snag that high five mid-ride!

She has stood in line for hours over the course of three trips. I stood in line the other day. It not only broke, people got stuck at the top and had to walk down. I left the line! It has been too long since I was able to make it on the actual ride and not waste time in line.
