    Dive!
    Rachel Macie H.

Such an awesome experience to ride the lift hill of this crazy cool coaster to the top in those huge long rows where it feels like your feet can almost touch the maintenance steps as each click of the track on your rise to the top of the tallest faster and longest Dive Coaster in the world! This coaster is amazingly fun and super unique to the way it rides as each dive as well as inversion all were quite unique to the way you would ride it out almost as if it was too perfect in flight! Valravn is an awesome addition to this park and a must ride for anyone who enjoys the good things when they see them just remember the line for this can get super long so make sure you'll be able to fit it in your day of activities at the park! The rows for the car are super long and there is only three of them but it sets a good amount of riders to each train full so it kinda helps move the line a bit faster :) They don't let you bring anything with you on the ride and will stop it if your that person using their phone on the ride cycle so get a locker or leave it with the other person who's to chicken to ride this amazing Dive Coaster! However they do let you leave your shoes in the cubby box inside the station because you will lose your sandals on the ride so make sure to leave them there so you don't have to walk barefoot all day! Overall this is a really super radical and all around amazing Coaster that I will ride again once I make it back to the shores of Cedar Point!

¬ ÐIVE ANØTHER DA¥ ¬ Cedar Point's 17th and newest coaster is a mean, lean, diving machine. But it's not all sunshine & happiness, folks.....skip to the end for the reason why. Valravn has only been in operation for 4 weeks, which means lines for it are bound to be the longest in the park. Its rather short 1 minute 58 second runtime has a few highlights, notably: ~Special ride elements~ *45° chain lift hill *214ft drop @ 90° w/ holding brake *Immelman *131ft drop @ 90° *dive loop *zero-G roll Valravn's super-wide cars are 8 across in 3 rows for a total of 24 riders per train. Anyone seated on the far edges will be treated to a world-class thill, as those extend beyond the rails of the track so there's nothing below you (the trains themselves are floorless). Anyone unfortunate enough to be wedged into any of the "bitch seats" (i.e. seats 4 and 5 in the second or third rows) will still experience the coaster, albeit at a fraction of the intensity. The restraints are crazy comfortable and ensure your butt stays planted during your dive time. While the HUGE 165ft immelman inversion is great fun, inversions 2 and 3 aren't entirely as thrilling and the airtime hill prior to the brake run didn't seem to give much in the way of negative G's. The lift hill is pitched at a 45 degree angle, much steeper than the typical 30° lift slope used on most coasters. At the 223ft apex, riders get to enjoy a gorgeous view of the park (looking north) before making a sharp turn and staring --straight-- down. A holding brake keeps the tension palpable as you're left dangling for a moment before you plummet vertically towards terra firma. That first drop is quite a rush, I have to say. ?BinsNoBins? = NoBins. Only spots for flip flops, and crews are adamant about 'no loose belongings'. They even told me--for the one and only time during my whole visit--that my sunglasses needed to be removed. When I responded with "they'll stay on my head, trust me", they fired back with a curt "yeah no, take them off and hold them in your hand. Like right now." Needless to say, as soon as the train began its ascent up the lift hill, I put those shades right back on my face to filter out the scorching sun. And yes, they stayed secure the --entire-- ride, thankyouverymuch. So while Valravn would be some park's flagship ride, at CP the competition is stiff. It's not bad in the slightest, however there are far better coasters at the park. Still definitely a 5* ride, no question. But it's NOT worth a 2+ hour wait, and there's at least five coasters superior to Valravn at Cedar Point. I want to stress that the ride doesn't suck, but it IS a little overhyped in my opinion. Now here's where things get ultra-sh*tty. Thanks to the 8-across seating configuration (instead of the usual 2 or 4 per row), a station attendant will direct you where to sit in an effort to fill in all available rows and cut down on empty seats. I know, they're "just doing their job", but that's a major douche move for people who've been standing in line for a very long time. I got screwed and wound up not only stuck in the middle row, but also the middle SEAT which is the worst possible combination. #sucks Now to be fair, there is ample signage posted at various points in the queue saying that 'due to demand you may not be able to request specific seats', but that doesn't lessen the potential for heartbreak. An assigned seating situation on a roller coaster still strikes me as totally ridiculous and downright un-American. Eric S's Cedar Point coaster ranking : 8th out of 13. Verdict : wait what?!? How could Valravn, the world's tallest dive coaster that shattered a crapton of records, possibly be ranked so low?!? .....because, dear reader, for those that've waited 45, 60, 90, even 120 minutes in the blazing hot Sandusky summer heat.....or the cold, unforgiving lake effect rain..... ......not having the freedom to choose your seat is the cheapest, lying, no-good, rotten, four-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, blood-sucking, hopeless, heartless, d*ckless, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, biggest kick in the nutsack there is! Hallelujah, ho-ly sh*t! Where's the Tylenol??

This coaster is rocking! It's fast and has some suspense implemented because of the hanging drop on the hill. I would definitely recommend riding the Valravn to season pass-holders and visitors alike!

So I'm going to say that the ride itself is exhilarating and fun but the fact that it's only 1 minute long is a bummer. I wouldn't find myself waiting to ride this for longer than a half hour. Not going to waste time in a line for a ride that's not very long. But the whole theme of it is pretty original. When I'm not on it and you hear the noises, it can be deceiving of what the noises are but when youre on the coaster you realize it's like... sound affects of sirens singing! The whole 90 degree shift hold and drop is epic and worth the lack of time in the ride but it's honestly disappointing how short it is.

Luckily when we waited it ended up being about 45 minutes. What makes this ride unique is the 90 degree tilt at the beginning. The rest of the ride is a combo of barrel rolls and high speed turns. I think I would've enjoyed the ride more if the queue had more shade. By the time you're at the front you're exhausted from the heat. This is a ride where you cannot bring anything with you. There are small complimentary lockers right before the metal detectors.

It's got this wild, untamed wilderness vibe that perfectly fits its name. The first lift hill leads into a jaw-dropping 95-degree drop that instantly wakes you up, followed by crazy, whip-fast turns that keep your heart racing the entire ride. The sleek design, bold colors, and overall atmosphere make it feel like you're on a roller coaster adventure through the backcountry. One of my favorite moments is the unexpected launch underneath the station that shoots you toward the water section -- it's a rush like no other. Like Millennium Force, Maverick's iconic silhouette is visible from the road as you approach the park, a beacon of thrills calling you in. Ride Stats: 4,450 feet of track * 70 mph top speed * 95-degree drop * 2 minutes 30 seconds ride time Best Seat: Front row for pure speed, back row for maximum airtime Pro Tip: Avoid the midday crowds -- rope drop or the last ride of the night means way less waiting. Photo-Worthy? Absolutely, especially near the first drop and water section. Personal Note: This coaster quickly became my favorite at Cedar Point for its unique mix of wild design and intense thrills. Every ride feels like a new adventure, and that launch under the station still gets me every time.

Blue Streak is an important part of Cedar Point history with it being their oldest roller coaster. There was a storage bin to put your belongings, so that was a plus! I enjoyed every aspect of this coaster. It did have some shaking on the track, but that was expected. The first drop felt great! I feel that this coaster is a classic and I'm glad it's appreciated! Overall, Blue Streak was an excellent way to start off my day. I'm glad I chose to ride this one first. I can't wait to ride it again! Date of visit: 07/25/2023

We're here today to ride Blue Streak. A classic wooden coaster located at Cedar Point…read more Now, this ride is the last of the wooden coasters at Cedar Point. Most of them being old asf from the 30's, that were demolished long before I was alive. So I never got to ride those. And then there was Mean Streak which.... didn't have a good reputation and was RMCd into Steel Vengeance. So that leaves Blue Streak. And all I can say is that this ride is FREAKING AWFUL. I'm sorry if you like it, I stand by it. So what makes Blue Streak so bad? Well let's get into it. We first get into the PTC wooden coaster trains. Which, these are not well made. They're crampt, and the lapbar DIGS into your legs. So if you're riding with a larger rider, it's not gonna be fun. So the ride hasn't started yet and I already hate it. NOT A GOOD SIGN. We then head leave the station, and head up the lift hill. We then head down the first drop, I think there's airtime? I can't tell. This ride is too busy trying to send me back to the chiropractor for me to notice. And the worst part is, this ride is going SUPER fast. On most coasters, that would be awesome as it means you get airtime. But here, you're having your shins get crushed by those awful restraints while the ride tries to shake you around and bully you like that one girl did to me back in elementary school (Thanks for that Rachael). After going through several of these airtime hills, I wanted to get off. But sadly, we have to brace for that awful turnaround which makes you feel like you're in a car accident. You then have to brace for even more airtime hills as this ride goes at full speed. Continuing to beat the crap out of you as you scream "OW OW OW." Eventually, you hit the brake run. Thanking the lord that it's over. I'm honestly really sad to write this review. I did NOT expect to have this opinion on Blue Streak. It's a historic ride that on paper should be good. But you can tell that Cedar Point has not been taking care of it. Because now it's on the same level of rides as Manhatten Express before the 2022 refurb, Green Lantern, and Coast Rider. I never got to ride Mean Streak, but I imagine I'd like that ride more than this. At least Mean Streak looked to be smooth and was just boring. This was just brutal. I'd call for the wrecking ball, but like I said, it's a historic wooden coaster. And we all know how the OTHER Blue Streak turned out (F*CK YOU TODD JOSEPH). So if Cedar Point could, I'd love to see GCI or the Gravity Group come in and give this ride a makeover to make it good. Until then, I would NOT recommend riding Blue Streak unless you're a historic coaster nut or you're wearing lots of padding.
