I scheduled a routine cleaning weeks in advance, only to have the office cancel on me less than 24 hours before because the hygienist "wasn't available." Frustrating, but things happen. What doesn't make sense is trying to charge $100 to reschedule my appointment a few weeks later--after they canceled on me. That's backwards. I value clear communication and fair policies. If a practice expects patients to honor cancellation windows and fees, it should do the same when it cancels last-minute. I won't be returning and wouldn't recommend this office based on this experience. read more

I've had dentists on four different continents and Dr. Courtney at Cedar Dental is the best. Seriously, this place is so amazing! No one really likes going to the dentist, but you will like going to Cedar Dental and seeing Dr. Courtney. When I first moved here a few years back I was nervous about finding a dentist. Fortunately, I was able to find Cedar Dental. In my entire life I have never had such thorough cleanings and their attention to detail is great. I'm serious! They check their work and make sure they got all of the plaque before sending you off. I have a rebuilt tooth that is a bit stubborn with stains since I drink a lot of tea and they always manage to get it sparkling again. Now I'm going to be honest, I'm not the easiest person to have as a dental client but Doctor Courtney is so very patient and kind with me. He doesn't dictate as is the case with so many medical professionals. He has such a laid back manner about him which really helps relax you and put you at ease. Earlier this week I had a problem with a tooth and they managed to squeeze me in which was greatly appreciated. I was also able to see MY dentist which really made me feel much more relaxed. Everyone who works here is great. All of the staff you interact with from the front desk to the assistants to the dentist... it's always a FIVE STAR experience. This is what dentistry should be like. Just some history, I have had cavities in every single molar and premolar. I dislike going to the dentist more than any other doctor because of past experiences. That being said, I just had 3 cavities filled and they are such a perfect fit, I don't even feel an alteration in my bite. I didn't feel them at all by the time the anesthesia wore off. I used to see Dr. Tran until I moved several years ago. I loved her and her staff. What I didn't like about this practice is that I always had a cavity when I came here. Or needed something fixed or replaced. No matter what. Sometimes the cavity was so small, that Novocain wasn't required. But interestingly enough, I haven't had a cavity or required any major work since I left this practice. read more

I been here twice for dental cleaning. The receptionist was very nice. This place is a little outdated. One day I came in and they have a dog in the facility. All the staff were back there petting the dog and talking about how it's the dentistry's mascot. I don't think a dentistry needs a actual dog in the facility to be the mascot. All I could think of was that these people's hands are probably going to be in my mouth cleaning my teeth. Don't get me wrong, I love dogs I have a dog of my own, I just don't think it's very hygienic for the dog to be there. The hygienist was very friendly. read more

In August I will have been going to cedar dental for 9 years. I originally went to them because they were across the street from my apartment and my insurance was accepted there. Since then I've moved about 20 minutes away and had a kid. She's been going there with me to almost every appointment. She's now 6 and loves going. They made her feel super welcome so she wasn't afraid. I pass probably 15-20 dentists covered by my insurance in my way to my appointment. I love this place and the staff is incredible.
