It was my first time fishing but I had a great experience and even caught a big size catfish! Well they have a boat ramp into the water. They have a golf course..that's it..No picnic area, no bathrooms, no playgrounds..so we went on down the road to where it dead ends and loops into a parking lot area at the lake.. That's it.. I really wouldn't call it a State Park. There is some historical value here but NO signs or trails..nothing to tell you about it. I guess you have to look it up on the internet to find out any information about it. The lake was pretty though and we did stop to take a couple of photos and saw a guy in a row boat catch a fish.. Maybe there is something we missed? We will have to check it out another day..

I have always lived near ReelFoot lake and I grew up going there on special occasions. I had never…read morebeen on the boat tours until recently however. I had the opportunity on my day off from work to come visit this park in all of its beauty. My first boat outing was with their seasonal ranger Jewell West, she was very knowledgeable and personable! She was definitely passionate about the eagles, the park, our beautiful state, and the preservation of our state's natural wonders. On our outing we saw nearly 16 eagles, plenty of osprey, and many other native species. It was a very enjoyable way to spend the morning, and a very beautiful and relaxing ride! That afternoon I came back for the history of the lake boat ride, it was shorter than the eagle spotting venture, but was also with seasonal ranger West. She painted a unique picture about the geological origins of the lake and its troubled past. It was very interesting, and I really enjoyed hearing about it while actively seeing it in person. The facilities at the state park are brand new and they are amazing. They have very enriching and hands on ways to experience this park's history and biological elements. Many of their facilities are brand new due to increased funding and repairs after a tornado a few years ago. The flora and fauna of the lake are immensely beautiful. This place is most definitely a hidden gem for west Tennessee! I look forward to coming back this July for the 250th anniversary of the USA celebration.

He advised me on the rod to purchase based on my fishing style and also advised me on different patterns of jigs he uses based on different conditions. This place is awesome for the crappie/panfish/catfish fisherman. Well stocked and quality gear which in this day and age is a tough find. It was awesome to hold the products in hand without the guess work that goes along with online shopping. Absolute great find for me as a fisherman!! This is not Cabelas! This is not Bass Pro! This is a fishing store owned by a man who loves to fish. What more could you want.

I needed to use the restroom and I saw the sign for the Paris Landing State Park so we stopped. I am so glad we did. This park is LOVELY!!!!! The waters edge is gorgeous....and there is a swimming beach. Tons of picnic areas with grills and lots of fishing spots...and tons of people fishing. I need to get my fishing license and so does Tony. I want to go back here to swim and picnic this summer once my daughter arrives. There is NO charge..it is all FREE to enjoy!! SO WHY AREN'T YOU???? get out there...take pictures and leave reviews...enjoy the state parks and let me know what you think.. I love to share and I love to see what others are enjoying

The water was a bit shallow and we got stuck a couple times in the river part of the swamp but through the swamp it was perfect. There were quite a bit of the Asian carp so something to be wary of if this freaks people out but we were just fine. Extremely beautiful and something I would definitely do again. Mark did a military discount. Kudos. Thank you for doing this. Well worth every penny.
