A nice change from the flat Florida terrain!

This park has different sections for different age groups. They are marked as so. Plenty of benches for the adults. They have swings. Even one where you can sit down in front of your small child and swing with them. Also, the whole playground is gated which is great to keep the children within bounds. They even have one of those book exchange boxes where you can leave books or take books as you please.

We took a three-year-old there for an outing in bright slightly-cool weather. Up until Easter, they had easter-egg hunts all day, separated each time into age-groups, smartly organized so that the kids trade in the eggs afterwards for a goodie-bag, so the competition for eggs wasnt too fierce. We took a train ride around the farm. And the newest pony was still getting used to the situation, so instead of riding, we joined in gentle grooming and pampering. A lovely fun morning! It's on a 7th-generation family-owned farm, and it's open Tuesday-Sunday and some Mondays, 11-5 or so. There's low-cost tickets for entry and for some of the activities, and there's lots of free parking. Their produce stand is open July-Sep. And after the olds reminisce about the restored decor that Clark's Elioak Farm rescued 20 years ago from good old Enchanted Forest, there's a nice (unrelated) wine bar and restaurant across the street :-)

So just because the stated hours are open during the week, doesn't mean there's anything going on and you can't like go behind the fence and there's no digs or anything, or even any place to walk. Sure there's picnic tables if you wanna just sit and eat your lunch with a bunch of corporate office buildings all around but it's definitely not something I would drive 45 minutes to unless you're actively going to one of the scheduled interpretive program.

There is a half mile looped walking trail that is completely shaded through the woods and the playground is also pretty cool because the forest around it provides shade. There are two pavilions with bathrooms, water fountains, grills, and plenty of parking and the playground is pretty great and geared towards older kids, but my not quite two year old also had a great time. We will definitely return!
