Walked in here yesterday on a very somber mission to buy a plant for a funeral. I was a bit apprehensive as this plant was to represent my and my coworkers feelings of love and affection for the deceased. I just didn't think a hundred year old redwood would fit in my V_lv_ but I didn't want to show up with a "Charlie Brown tree" either. Lauren greeted me on entering, expressed her sympathies on my mission, asked some questions (budget? male or female?, etc) and then set about directing my attention to the myriad of beautiful, luscious green plants she had on hand. She explained that a lily was generally the norm but when I fell in love with a lovely plant with big, dare I say masculine? leaves, she said, "yeah, lots of people will bring the lilies, this one will stand out". Perfect. She did it up in a nice bow, added some rocks for weight, had me fill out the card and it was set to go. I don't know how it happened, but as I was checking out, we suddenly began talking about marriage and children and boyfriends and futures and pasts and I think we were BFF's in that moment. And she succeeded in temporarily relieving my sadness. Lauren is a gem and I wouldn't hesitate to revisit her shop for any floral needs, hopefully for better occasions in the future. I recently volunteered to help some older family friends and friends of friends book their vaccine appointments when they were very sparse in our area using my pretty modest tech background. They surprised me with a bouquet from Cedar Park Florist. Guys. This was hands down the most gorgeous, healthiest, most lush and beautifully arranged bouquet I have ever received. This thing was three feet tall, two or three feet wide, and the arrangement was masterfully done and full and multidimensional. A perfect balance of color, different flowers (two types of lilies, ombre roses, daisies, I don't even know the other ones), and greenery. Listen. This bouquet was so beautiful I felt compelled to clean the rest of my home so it wouldn't look ridiculous among all my pandemic mess lol. Being in the same room as this bouquet was like wandering into a flower garden. I work from home at the moment and I can't say how much I appreciated just a burst of color and beauty and having the smell of roses and lilies fill my room. I must have looked like a deer in headlights when it was delivered. The woman who delivered my flowers by hand was super kind and patient while I tried to corral my dogs and carry it in. The kicker? It lasted a full two weeks. I got it exactly 13 days ago and it's got at least a day or two left. I will probably always order here whenever I need flowers in the area. read more

I wasn't home when it was delivered, (I had stepped out of the house for about 15 minutes to grab lunch) but CPF called me to let me know they had delivered, and where they left them and wished me a Happy Birthday on my voice mail which was really cool. She lives in CA and had ordered an arrangement to be delivered to me for Mother's Day. They happened NOT to have all the flowers that she had requested available. The owner called her personally to let her know that and to discuss with her what she would like instead. I ordered the Hugs And Kisses bouquet for my husband for Valentine's Day for $80. The photograph showed a healthy-sized bouquet full of roses, pink and red carnations and white daisies. While I realize the exact kinds of flowers may vary, the size of the bouquet in the photograph is completely misleading. When the flowers arrived, the bouquet was so small you would have thought it was created with leftover flowers. It look nothing like the photograph. In addition, I live with in Cedar Park., Yet I was still charged $18 for delivery. With taxes and delivery, an $80 bouquet ended up costing me $104. What a rip off! read more
