When we travel, we use Yelp for recommendations for local eateries and we found this little gem. The outside is nothing fancy and inside is very relaxing and welcoming .... We are welcomed with southern hospitality and seated ourselves, there were other folks in here eating and it reminds us of a small dining room, not many tables but decorated nicely, extremely clean inside. We ordered the standard, eggs, bacon, pancakes and sausage. The biscuit is killer !! Our food arrived fairly quick and was hot and tasty. The servers provided outstanding service ! Yes, we would recommend giving this local spot a shot .... It's nothing fancy but good homemade food

Holy Breakfast!! This restaurant was located near the hotel we were staying at, and my other half wanted something different than the breakfast offered there. When we walked in we were warmly greeted, and shown to a table. We looked at the menu and saw that all the southern favorites were present and accounted for! I went with a cheesesteak omelette with country potatoes and grits as my sides. There was also a biscuit involved that was seriously tasty! I had orange juice to drink, Husband had coffee and said that it was very good. What struck me even more than the amazing food, and the vast menu..is that the staff were all chatting with regulars and telling them stories and laughing..like old friends!

Charming little diner with fun pancake variations on chalk boards around the place. I was looking for a place to grab some brunch after church and also get some work done on my computer. The wifi was good enough for me to stream videos and get work done, but I didn't see any outlets, so it's not a place I could hole up for too long to get work done, but it did just the trick for me.

Chicken is frozen chicken tenders and waffle was chewy and tasteless. Service was good

I lost my appetite so I took pictures.

Being in the military we have this natural sense to come together when natural disasters come. This is our first hurricane ever! Florence has scared me and my children more than I anticipated. So when the wind subsided we decided to have a family meal together before they haul my husband to help with FEMA on stand by or head to JRTC for a month. We get in this restaurant and after we're seated, I did notice an older woman complaining waiting tables. I felt sorry for her because she had a very bad attitude from being overwhelmed. The young waitress sat down another family after us. To give an idea of how long we waited, the family ate, paid and we were still trying to get it together. It was sad, frustrating, & quiet rude. I don't wave my husband status around to get special treatment or sympathy. We serve humbly. The service we got wasn't the worse of it. So before we sat down an older tall gentleman was wiping the table down for us his hand was CUT. I mentioned to him "oh your hand got cut" he said "it sure did..." he went to the back I'm thinking to have someone re-wipe the table because he was leaking blood! No he didn't. I sat there with my stomach in my throat. I lost my appetite and could no longer eat. He comes back after a while and I notice he is cleaning plates and wiping down another table and he DOES NOT have a bandage or bandaid on his cut. I will never and I mean never. Be back here again. Very disappointing to see that in such a high volume military community.

I went here for lunch with some friends and the food was good. It's a family owned restaurant and you may pass by it often. I recommend stopping here for lunch. I did see they have all you can eat pancakes for $6 so I will have to try that one day.

Wanted a good lunch before catching my flight back home and I came across this place…read more It had been a tough few days and I needed a drink. This place was just what I needed before leaving Fayetville. The bartender was so amazingly sweet & attentive. The place is clean, and has a low key, casual vibe. It was around lunch time when I arrived and took an empty seat at the bar. I was promptly greeted and when I asked for recommendations, the bartender was very knowledgeable and I LOVED her recommendation, the pomegranate cider. I sat and enjoyed my drink taking in the vibe and conversation from locals that joined the bar. Finally, I ordered some food: The Patriot Burger. I opted for chicken for the protein and nixed the cheese, because well, my body hates it. Yes! It was as delicious as it looks in the picture. It was accompanied by a good helping of fries that were served hot, hot, hot! If you're feeling down and need a good drink in a great place before you go on with your day, come here! If you're hankering for a good burger, a beer, great service, and great casual conversation with strangers, come here! Thanks Gastons Gang for raising a Texas Gals spirits! Cheers!

The space restaurant has a nice size bar, as well as hi top tables. There are TVs to catch up on sporting events. I decided to have the flight along with a few other samples and I was pleased with the Sour, Porter and IPA offerings! The staff were polite and knowledgeable and I know I will return upon future visits.

Four-Star Review - Metro Diner…read more Metro Diner offers an impressive variety of menu choices that make it easy for almost anyone to find something they will enjoy. From the moment the meal began, it was clear the restaurant focuses on hearty portions, classic comfort flavors, and a welcoming dining experience. The appetizers were a strong start. They were served hot, fresh, and well prepared. Each item had a satisfying texture and balanced seasoning. The presentation was simple yet appealing, and the portions were generous enough to share. These starters set a positive tone for the rest of the meal and showed consistency in kitchen execution. Moving into the main entrées, the variety truly stood out. The menu offers a wide range of comfort favorites, breakfast options, and traditional diner classics. Every entrée ordered at the table was flavorful, filling, and cooked as expected. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the meals were served in portions that reflected good value. From savory dishes to more traditional homestyle selections, there was a sense of care in preparation and attention to taste. Another positive aspect was the overall atmosphere. Metro Diner has a relaxed and comfortable setting that makes it suitable for families, friends, or casual business meetings. Service was attentive and friendly, helping create a smooth dining experience from start to finish. Overall, Metro Diner earns a solid four-star rating for its wide menu variety, consistent food quality, and satisfying comfort-style meals. It is a dependable place to enjoy a good meal with plenty of choices for different tastes.

We had to wait about 30 minutes, so we knew this place had to be popular for a good reason. Menu was diverse, mostly breakfast options, but got some brunch/lunch options as well. I got the traditional eggs, potatoes, bacon, and waffle combo. I thought the waffle was soft and had great flavor to it. Wasn't like those you taste at Waffle House or IHOP. The seasoning on the other entrees weren't bad, not overly salted, and it just felt like homely cooked breakfast food. I can see why a lot of people are fond of this place & why it's always so packed! Definitely will be back next time I'm in town and if you're from the north and a big diner fan like me, you'll love this place.
