What a quaint place! This is North Carolina country breakfast at its best. I arrived to join my friend's already seated and found that we owned the place. It was empty as the last soldiers finished paying and passed me as I was coming in. Peace and quiet achieved. My friends and I dined in silence for the rest of the meal. Real sweet tea and good, hot, fast food. that's all you really need on a lazy Sunday midafternoon. I have been driving past this place for years and it is truly a hole in the wall. It's just down the street from IHOP and the food is real and very tasty. I ordered a simple BLT with an scrambled egg on the side and it was on the table within 5 minutes and piping hot! The only thing that takes away from it is the smell of the restaurant. It's probably the carpet but I can't give 5 stars because of that. Otherwise it was awesome. The service is extremely slow and the servers seem to be occupied making conversation with their regular customers. I arrived at 12:29 was told to sit anywhere I like and was pretty much ignored for about 5 minutes then finally they brought me a menu and sat around another 5 minutes..i had to get their attention (only 3 tables were full in my section) to place my order. 2 minutes later a man comes in and within a minutes gets service. Now im sitting here and the man that came in after me has a full blown meal in front of him. All i ordered was a hotdog so how did his food make it out before mine. Environment is nice and relaxing. The food was good overall. The only thing I had a small issues with, was the pancakes. They had a taste that I was not used to, but it may be great for someone else. My wife and I came around 1100 on a Sunday, so not everyone was out of church yet. During normal weekend hours this place could be a little more busy. read more

I have always been a fan of hole in the wall spots, but this was significantly underwhelming. I got a chicken fried steak sandwich, which tasted good. The problem was that it was on one piece of white bread and served with crinkle fries. My wife had a blt, served the same way. I had 2 eggs (over-easy), corned beef hash, grits, toast, and 2 pancakes. *Eggs were perfect *Corned beef hash was seasoned well (I thought I would be getting homemade corned beef hash) but I'm 90% sure it was from a can. *grits were perfectly seasoned *Pancakes were cooked to a perfect golden brown, I personally would add an extra egg per eight pancake batch, to help them stay on the fork better. but the taste was good with a hint of vanilla/nutmeg. For all that the grand total with water to drink was 11.94 plus tax. I would definitely go back to try other menu items or if I didn't feel like cooking at home. read more

We really wanted to love this place. Breakfast is probably my favorite thing and with all the good reviews my husband and I were so excited to try. Sadly my omelette was raw throughout and after speaking to the owner, nothing was done about it expect telling the cook to be more careful next time. Serving customers raw and undercooked food is a health and safety issue and should be taken a little more seriously. I understand I did eat 1/3 of the omelette (the outer edge that was cooked) but I don't think we should have had to pay the entire amount for something that couldn't be eaten. I couldn't share it with my 10 month old also because of this. My husband did enjoy his breakfast melt but we are very disappointed by the lack of concern from the owner (or what seemed to be the owner). Not even an apology. So even though we wanted to love this place sadly we will not be going back. read more

First of all, the atmosphere is very comfortable and the waitress is definitely one of the best in Fayetteville. Second, not only is the food highly satisfying, but the prices are perfect. When prices are too low, I think low quality. When they are too high, I leave thinking about the cost instead of the food. Needless to say, I'll be back. read more

Definitely worth the visit. A local restaurant that is busy for breakfast. Fayetteville and Spring Lake have so many chain or franchise restaurants. It is nice to treasure the local tastes from time to time. I ordered the country omelet, son ordered french toast, and wife ordered pineapple upside down pancakes. Its a small joint outside Pope-Fort Bragg that has some great breakfast and won't pinch your wallet. More of a home-cooking place, where the locals eat instead of chain restaurants. Its a small staff to serve the folks and may take awhile for the food to come out, but its worth the wait. read more

Hands down - the worst restaurant in Fayetteville. It took 45 minutes to get a coffee and an hour and a half to get my meal. I can't tell you how hungry I was when I finally got my food. Of course, I couldn't eat all of my food when it finally did arrive because 1) the server forgot half my order and 2) the food that did make it to the table was cold and disgusting. When it came time to pay my bill, I was surprised to find that the restaurant wanted me to pay 27 dollars for two simple breakfast meals that I could have made at home. The math didn't quite add up, and after a little review of the ticket it turns out that there was a 1 dollar charge that looked too much like 7 dollar charge to the cashier. Oops. The cashier tried to play the "sorry, I already swiped your card - I don't know what to do" card. Eventually, the cashier settled on giving me the difference in cash - but not before calling some wait staff over so I could walk them through the math several times. I know when restaurants get busy, sometimes it takes a little extra time to get your food, and I wasn't expecting the food at this place to be great but this place has no excuse. It wasn't very busy at all, and the food was AWFUL. It is less than an hour after leaving Cedar Point and I'm feeling pretty bad - I think my food might have made me sick. read more
