We had the two day ride and slide passes, thankfully. We spent twenty minutes at Soak City and went straight back to Cedar Point. Lazy river-closed Renegade river- closed 3 major water slides- closed Cafe-closed What gives? I know we went early in the season but for the money you pay I expected more. At least a notice that most attractions were closed. Also, we were told that we MUST get a locker. Even the smallest of lockers were $10, and not big enough for a family of 3. The lifeguards did seem to take there jobs very serious and looked astute, not just standing around talking to each other like a lot of other waterparks. The park did seem very clean also. Having gone over ten years without visiting Soak City, I was excited that on our trip to Cedar Point we'd be able to check it out. I didn't remember much about it except that I liked it. However, I was probably around 12 which means everything seems better than it actually is. The park needs something. It actually needs a lot. They have four areas for children, yet one adult pool that was overcrowded and less-than-stellar slides that were the shortest for any water park I've ever visited. On average we waited around 20 minutes to go down a slide for 15 seconds. My suggestion is to get rid of one of the kid areas and put a decent thrilling water slide up for the older guests. The park was clean for the most part. The only time I felt it was a little gross was waiting for the slides on the stairs as water dripped on your head. They also could use a pressure washer to get rid of the green scum that was growing due to the water. The bathroom was a little nasty as well, but I what water park/pool bathroom isn't. One thing I will compliment on is the fact that the water was warm. Also, the lazy river with the obstacles was pretty fun as well! Good thing is we have platinum passes so we didn't have to pay the $30-something dollars to go. We probably spent about three hours here and road on half of the slides. Not only did we just not feel like waiting in the lines in the hot sun, but they didn't even look like they were worth waiting for. I don't think we'd visit here again unless we get the platinum passes again and we were planning on staying for more than a day. This is a beautiful water park with amazing views of the beach and the waves coming in from on top of the water slides. You will be convinced you are looking at a beach in florida! Totally feels like a beach vacation! So I went at the best time ever. I went on a Friday when school just started back so I had the whole water park to myself for the first couple hours. The water was warm and the place is a good size. I went on every slide and they are all good. I was there all day (11 am to 6 pm) and had a blast. Couple of pitfalls: The water park is separate from cedar point so that means different ticket price and different parking. The walk between the two is about 50 feet but if you look at the park map it looks joined together. So not only did I buy a ticket to a park I hardly went into but my car was parked way on the otherwise of the park. Pros: lots of slides, spread out park, has subway so you don't have to eat greasy fried food. Two lazy rivers. An adult side with a door person checking ID's and a swim up bar if you want an alcoholic drink. Beer is $8 and mix drinks are $10 but decent size cup for both. Adult side has a hot tub too. Kid side has sand and even a couple little kid slides. Lockers let you pick your own code and you use them all day without worrying about losing a key. They sell great brand name swimsuits there so even if you go on the spur of the moment! They sell everything you need there. It is my fav water park so far for having everything I need and being a blast to go to. read more

I really enjoyed this water park! The park is small and probably only worth it if you get the Ride and Slide tickets and are staying on the grounds or if you just hate roller coasters. Clearly if you've made it this far you should only be concerned with going on roller coasters nonstop, however, Soak City is a nice 2-3 hour break you could take if the weather permits. Lockers and food are expensive. Leave your stuff in the car along with a cooler! Lifeguards are a-plenty and even though they're all about 16, they all seemed to take their jobs very seriously which made me feel safe! Beware the horrible pool bottoms which will slice your skin off. I left with a huge gash on my foot, knee, elbow, and knuckles due to a few aggressive waves in the pool and Renegade River, respectively. The park is small so you can easily buy the discounted half day tickets and cover the whole park. read more

This is our first and last time at this park, the employees were rude and were too busy dancing with their height sticks to the songs and socializing with each other to even care about the parks cleanliness. The all day eat pass is available only at the restaurant where we had multiple places to use it at Cedar Point. There are bugs, bloody band aids, bird droppings & other trash around the park, especially around the wave pool. Maybe this park should do what an experienced & profitable water park in Florida does & clean the park as well as spray down the chairs and recliners before they open. My husband was made fun of by a couple of employees because he complained about the conditions of the park. We spent a lot of money for 3 tickets as well as all day drink & all day eat passes and we were SERIOUSLY robbed. We will not be back and we will advise anyone/everyone to avoid this water park, go to Orlando instead. read more

This place is complete garbage. Water slides are weak, not fun at all and more geared for preteens or kids. Overall there are WAY better options in the area for water parks. Just to make everything worse their shuttle service is horrible. They claim every 10 minutes but it took over 30 despite 3 phone call to front shuttle office lying to everyone that called saying we were first person to call. Will never go back read more

When I was younger, I always wondered how long it's going take for Cedar Point to remove this place and put in another coaster. Now that I'm older I understand that's it's just another cash cow for the park. This water park can easy be done in two to three hours, that's even a busy day. It really isn't all that impressive of a water park, but then again it's on Lake Erie and only open three months a year, and people normally don't travel to Cedar Point to go to a water park, they come for the coasters. While it is good for families and couples that aren't coaster fans, or want to cool off on a hot summer day, its is just another way for Cedar Point to get another twenty dollars from you. read more

Much like the Cedar Point Amusement Park this is a let down. I'm sitting in a chair right now by the pool without a drop of rain in the air and everything is shut down due to "thunder". I heard a few cracks of thunder 15 minutes ago. I understand being on the safe side of things but this just feels malicious. I can see most of the coasters aren't operating either. They are happy to take my $75 a piece but not run the rides. As it's the last stop on vacation and day two here, I won't be back. Six Flags runs a better theme park. Also, would it kill them to invest in some better speakers and train their college employees in speaking distinct English? I can't understand a word they are saying, and most of my college professors were foreign nationals. You can tell it's the end of the summer as the employees at the rides generally don't care. i don't recommend going here. thought it was gonna be fun. spent 200 dollars to get in. foods overpriced. cotton candy ice cream tasted like vanilla. not enough powdered sugar on the fried dough. and then the worst part...... the bugs. they are everywhere. went down one slide when i got to the bottom and was in the pool i look around me to see the pool filled with mayflies and a slice of pizza. then we went to the lazy river and don't even. it was so un relaxing. the amount of flies around me and going into my tube...do not come here. not to mention half of the slides were closed. i def recommend going to the actual park with the rides that was fun all though there were still bugs it wasn't as gross because i wasn't swimming in them. also the wave pool was deadly. read more

We went on Wednesday 7/26, rather hot day. Ill equipped for crowds. Very few restrooms, minimal shade, lack of chairs, and long waits for everything. If you want a chair, you need to be there when they open. If you need shade, forget it. Not a single misting area to be found and not nearly enough restrooms or bathhouses for the size of the crowd. Soak City is one of those fun "once in awhile" places. The slides were fun and not so over the top that you had to worry about your kids getting hurt. The line for the zume flume was over and hour wait (on a slow day) because they only had 4 tubes. When a rider in front of us inquired as to why they didn't put more tubes on, the employee stated that all of the tubes had gotten holes and they had no extras. Really? A place like Cedar Point can't afford to keep extra tubes for one of the main attractions? Whatever you do DON'T PLAN ON EATING THERE. Take a cooler and keep it in your car if you have to. At the Subway stand we ordered two 6" subs and 2 regular drinks for $26.00! That is INSANE! The food prices have gotten WAY out of hand. The lazy river was nice but if your foot touches the bottom it's got sharp little edges. The water was barely 3' deep. The bathrooms outside the main enterance were filthy and nasty. The park itself was clean but some of the pools after the water rides needed cleaning. One pool had a few dozen dead bees floating all over. Yuck. I can honestly say we would have had a much better time, would visit more often and stayed longer if the concession prices weren't so insane. That just put a huge damper on the day. read more

ABSOLUTLEY THE WORST PLACE WE HAVE EVER BEEN!!!!!! would absolutely give this a zero if I could. I have NEVER written a bad review EVER. More than half! Half yes I counted because I could not believe it were shut down. They were all the bigger water slides. 8 were down at first along with one kid section and 1 lazy river. Then another big water slide was shut down and another kid section along with the other lazy river. There was nowhere for the people to go. The very few slides that were open I think at that point there were only SIX rides in the entire park open. You had to wait for forever bc all the people were trying to get on 6 rides. You couldn't do anything. We waited to see if they were going ro reopen the other slides but they said no. We just wanted to leave and get our money back. I was told by one manager to go to the front and they would refund us. Whe. I got there they kept telling me they would give us another pass but we are not from around there. We drove 7 hours to.comw to this park. The "regional manager" told me they would not refund us. I asked to speak to someone ahead of her. She ROLLED HER EYES!!!!!! She said I can call but they will not come over here for you! I'm sorry what!?!?!?! She called and they told her to refund us. I am in such shock that this is how their customer service is ran. We travel all the time and go to parks A LOT. Never have we been treated this way. Never never coming back and we will let everyone we know not to waist their time or money. It took my kids 1.5 hours to get through Storm Surge for a 20 second ride! The main issue? The girl working at the bottom who was supposed to put the rafts back on the conveyor belt clearly didn't feel like working. She couldn't have gone any slower. Any slower, and she would have gone in reverse. She spent more time laying on the rafts than anything else. MOVE WITH A PURPOSE if you are working there and try to get the people in line through with a reasonable wait! But the worst part was that most of the rides were closed. An entire section was closed including the Wild Walleye Perch Plunge and the ones by it. Also, the water was freezing, so even going into the wave pool was rough. You would think with the amount of money they make, they could afford a pool heater. I mean, you know you have a water park in Ohio, right? We spent $240 for 4 of us to go on 3 rides. This water park has a lot to do for all ages. There are many thrilling slides for the older kids and adults. I am rating in 4 stars because although the park was a lot of fun the lifeguards and employees were not very friendly and did not even speak to anyone on the slides and I was also confused at the cafe and they didn't care to help me out. Cabana was over priced considering the table with 4 chairs was on the outside of it and not in the shade. If I wanted to sit in the sun all day I would not have got a cabana in the first place. Overall this park is a lot of fun and I will definitely consider going back in the future. read more

At most water slide parks the river inner tube rides are pretty fun. You go down numerous slides, crash into other riders, etc. At Soak City the inner tube river ride goes in one big circle and there are no slides. Just some water spouts. The water slides there really aren't that interesting. Within about an hour I had been on all the rides and was getting bored. Soak City is probably the weakest water slide park I've ever been too. And I've been to a lot of them. Bottom line: this place definitely needs more rides. read more

Cool water park in Cedar Point, adjacent to the Theme Park. Its on the smaller side compared to other parks I have been too, but its a great place to cool off on those hot summer days, and my kids always have a good time. Friendly atmosphere, cool rides and good fun. The ride and slide tickets at Cedar Point pretty much makes it free to get in, so you can enjoy both parks on the same day. read more

Some really nice water slides. We wee having fun until I came off a slide and went under banging my head on the pool floor. A few minutes later my daughter ended up with a concussion from inside of a water tube. We had to leave early. Those inner tubes are not needed, they toss you around. Unsafe. But the rides are awesome. It just sucked spending $152 and leaving so soon after arrival do to an accident. 6 hours later she is still in pain. We are still big fans of Cedar Point just not happy with the water park. read more

Soak City really not anything special when you compare that to the cost to get in. $35.00 not bad but then you add $15.00 for parking and if you don't get there in time to get a cabana which is expensive you will have to rent a locker at $25.00 and then try and scurry for a small space to set up a base camp because there isn't enough chairs for everyone. And if you want to eat? Well I spent over $60 for frozen chicken fingers and fries that were more than likely microwaved. Tasted awful. Soak City really needs to add more space to allow for more chairs and or cabanas. We had to find a spot under a water slide like a family of rats. We never felt comfortable leaving our towels and flip flops behind but had no choice. read more

The park is great for elementary school age kids - but adults looking for water thrills will be disappointed. There are a total of 6 major water slides (only for those 48"+), two lazy rivers, small wave pool, two toddler water parks and one water playground for older kids. My second graders LOVED the day - the water slides were tall and made them feel brave. But, as an adult, I found the slides (even the 'Thrill' rated slides) slow and more relaxing than exciting. The park was clean (essential since you must ride everything in bare feet!), and each ride staffed with many lifeguards. We visited on a summer weekday, and were pleased with our access to the rides for the early hours of the day (11-1pm). By mid-afternoon however the lines at the slides were long enough (30 minutes +) to dissuade us from riding them again. The wave pool and lazy river became quite crowded - even on the "slow" day we attended. I can't imagine visiting on a busy summer weekend - it would be utterly pointless! Yes - food is costly ($15pp lunch at Subway); the smallest locker runs $10 per day; even though many left shoes and towels on lawns and chaise lounges, locals on season passes warned me that theft was a regular occurrence (then stuffed cash in their gear bag and walked away!). I routinely left a bag with towels, snacks and sunscreen unattended and didn't have a problem, but perhaps I was lucky. Parking: there is a dedicated Soak City parking lot that is convenient to the water park entrance. You can keep valuables and food in your car, and easily exit/reenter the water park when you need something (it's as convenient as using the lockers, which are located just inside the park gates). read more

CPs water park doesn't even begin to match the standard of the rest of the park. It feels like a total afterthought. It's pretty small, you can do everything in it within 2 hours(on a crowded day), and not worth the extra ticket price. Just a few ho-hum water slides and a tube river, that's about it. Though even on a massively crowded hot day, the watermark was oddly vacant. Go for the "pay once ride twice" ticket(hidden in the "deals" section of the website, you'll save a lot over the "2 day ride and slide" that's featured. Your time at CP is better spent experiencing the rollercoasters and other rides rather than a very forgettable generic waterpark. read more

I spent $40 a ticket to get in for my family of 5. Along with purchasing food during my stay. Ridiculously expensive. Especially for a place that is absolutely disgusting. We stopped at the swim up bar adult pool, on the corner edge of the pool, it looked like puke or sea foam-I'm going to go with puke. No one attempted to clean it-not sure what it was but seriously so gross. The lazy river is filled with bugs, Hair, and bandaids. You kinda expect this nasty stuff when going to water parks. But what prompted me to write this is my daughter came down with a fever and achy bones the following Day. I also have some feelings of illness coming on. I put my money on it that we caught something at the park. I didn't see anyone older than 21 running the park. Nor did I see anyone checking the pool water for safety. I'm so sorry I spend good money on this nasty park. Save yourself some cash and just go to your local pool. read more

Not impressed at all!! We reserved a cabana in advance and when we got there it was infested with hundreds (!!) of flies/bugs. The staff sprayed insect spray but it didn't do any good and they only had 1 can anyways. It just made the air unbreathable but the bugs remained. The Cabana was 100% not useable so we asked for our $120 Cabana fee back. Kasey, the 20-year old "supervisor," was SOOO rude and refused to give us a refund and said "too bad" and walked away from me several times as I was talking to her. So we got stuck paying $120 for a Cabana that we couldn't use at all, and we wasted a good 3 hours of our day trying to get rid of bugs or track down a supervisor or get Kasey to act like an adult and hear us out. Very disappointing and miserable on an incredibly hot day. The water rides were short and meh. The lines were slow and long. The food was meh. The lazy river was dirty. The lifeguards kept blowing their whistles and giving everyone stink eyes that you couldn't even enjoy a single minute without looking up to see if you were the one getting 'scolded.' After writing in twice with no response from Cedar Point, I have decided to take my complaint here. My complaint regards the last few visits to Cedar Point and Soak City. Last year, we were disappointed to see that several rides were not running during a Friday visit to Cedar Point during Halloweekends, the Raptor and Millennium Force in particular. It has been a few years since I have purchased a season pass, and this year I purchased two Platinum season passes for my husband and me. After the last two visits to Soak City on September 5 and 7, we were horrified to see that both the Main Stream and the Renegade River were closed. Many of the slides were only operating half of the slides and rafts. In particular, we noticed the Zoom Flume was only running half of the normal rafts, and many of the slides were closed. Our last visit was on September 7, the last day Soak City was open, and we were so upset seeing the ridiculously long lines caused by the closings and half operations, that we ended up leaving minutes after our arrival. Based on last year, we are worried that certain rides will not be running again during our planned visits to Cedar Point during Halloweekends. A ticket or season pass to Cedar Point and Soak City is absolutely a rip off. read more

I would say not worth the price and we even had discounted tickets. Went on a Tuesday and the wait times were very good, but after three hours my kids were bored. They do not mention on the website that the water park does not have preferred parking so we wasted $30 bucks. You can leave the park and come back later which is was we did to go have a decent priced lunch. read more

I cannot believe that a park geared towards kids does not have a family bathroom. My family got split up and I had no good options for my daughter who needed to use the restroom. Great water park. My 15 year old and 11 year old had a great time. We did rent a cabana that was a waste of money. The only thing that was good about it was we were guaranteed chairs and we were right by our locker. The park itself isn't bad. There are a lot of slides and everything is spread out. There are a lot of cobwebs on things and it needs a good cleaning. My main issue is staff. They act as if they hate working there. None show any signs of personality. Didn't feel welcomed there at all. Got something to eat at Subway ($9 for a six inch sub!) and the punk behind the counter was incredibly rude. He literally would say "what do you want?" in a pissy way. I almost walked away half way through him making subs but stuck it out cause kids were hungry and they love subway. My boys had swim shirts on and rode the drop slides like 10 times with no problem. Then one guard tries to stop them and tell them they can't have their swim shirts on. None of the other 12 guards seem to have a problem with it. No consistency. I pretty much told him they are not taking them off and he agreed they could keep them on. By the end of day I was in a bad mood from having to interact with all of the employees. Stopped at Information Desk and had to wait until the two employees finished their conversation before they acknowledged me. For these reasons I won't go back to this place. It's a shame cause it could be a really nice, enjoyable place to visit. read more

Soak City is a great spot for a hot day. I was very pleased and impressed with the amount of lifeguards there. Lots of options for all ages and energy levels. There are many water slides to choose from, a large wave pool, 2 "lazy rivers" and a handful of areas for kids to play in. There are also some vendors from souvenirs to food. My only complaints were it closed at 7pm which seemed very early in the summer and the bigger of the two lazy rivers had a very coarse, cheese grater~like bottom and sides. I actually have quite a few cuts on my feet and hands from accidentally dragging on the bottoms and sides of the two and a half foot deep attraction. That said, if you make sure not to drag, it's very enjoyable. read more

Its ok if you are staying at hotel breakers bcz it is right next door and can walk to it . Like Cedar Points amusement park the water park is staffed with mostly non english speaking younger kids i guess here on work visas. Hard to understand what they are saying 90% time. We waited in line for 30 min or more to ride a family tube ride and noticed we had another 30+ min wait at best to ride so we bailed. Notices they had like 2-3 rafts for a huge attraction. Seemed insufficient but what do i know. Kids enjoyed wave pool , lazy river was ok , they have two. Not many shady spots to get out of sun unless rent a cabana . Im glad this was a combo ticket and we went to ride coasters in the pm. Lines r long and it was a lil chilly post front weather so we bailed. read more

I'm not a fan of amusement park rides, which is why we went to Soak City instead of Cedar Pointe. I loved the Lazy River that had the water features..rode it 5 times. The park as a whole was nice, but not enough shade options, and they discouraged you wearing any shoes/sandels in the rides, but the bottom of the pool was kinda rough. I agreed with previous review to bring your own food, and leave in car. The parking lot is small, and no problem to run out for a bite. The food in the park was expensive. All and all, we had a great time, and spent all day there. read more

We made the 2 hour drive up to soak city to take advantage of free passes we had because of a promotion that cedar point was running due to the water main break. We were disappointed by the water park, especially after visiting holiday world in Indiana, which was large, clean, friendly, cheap, and tons of fun. This water park was hardly worth the drive. It was very small, there was only a few slides that were all very gradual and just not very fun or exciting. The lazy river was fine and the wave pool was fun but otherwise it was not the best. The whole park smelled like dried urine. Everything was dirty and there were plants growing out of some of the slides. The lifeguards loved their whistles and seemed to blow them senselessly and very often. No one knew what they were blowing at because they never said a word, just blew their whistles and made weird hand gestures. Don't waste your time here. It's an afterthought by cedar point and just plain bad. read more
