We walked out. Sat down at bar the same time as another couple (who sat at the other side). No greetings from staff, but they were busy with only one bartender on. Waited, waited. Other people go drinks and just before we left bartender walked up and asked if we were eating. said yes, got menus. Waited, watching as others get drinks while bartender (not intentionally?) ignored us. Took dinner order from the other couple, and he turned around again. That was enough. Yes, bar was busy but that's a management problem. Saw no floor manager at front desk or at bar or...anywhere. i enjoyed a beautiful dinner at one eleven chop house. julia & michelle were our servers and provided excellent service. we started with oysters, i believe from wellfleet, which were fantastic. for our meals, we tried their wagyu and the filet mignon. the wagyu was delicious, the filet mignon was great but it was more on the medium side rather than medium rare. asparagus was delicious but would have preferred less hollandaise; it did come with caviar. cremini mushrooms were excellent. oysters 7/10 wagyu 9/10 filet mignon 7/10 asparagus 8/10 cremini mushrooms 10/10 i really enjoyed dinner here, and will definitely return. great steakhouse in the worcester area. ambiance: 5/5 food: 4.1/5 drinks: n/a service: 5/5 One Eleven Chop House: 4.7/5 read more

The entire staff was incredible. We arrived a little early for our reservation, and they seated us immediately. Every staffer we interacted with was excessively friendly and professional, and we discussed this throughout the meal. Starters: carpaccio, crab cakes, oysters, beef wonton. Crab cakes were the favorite, we described it as the perfect seafood stuffing. Beef wontons were a disappointment (for the price), and I wouldn't order them again. 4 rather small (essentially) empanada/rangoon, that didn't have much flavor on their own; came with a beef gravy, that wasn't a fit for me. For mains, we all ordered different steaks. Several were undercooked. I had ordered mine medium, and it was closer to rare; another ordered medium rare & described it as black and blue. Myself and a friend who ordered the ribeye felt they were tougher than we were expecting. The waitress did check in, and we opted not to send the steaks back (which is on us). The sides were quite good. Garlic mashed, Dijon glazed carrots, and asparagus with hollandaise. Carrots were the top winner. While we were all full, we opted in for dessert. Strawberry shortcake, dark chocolate & caramel bread pudding, and sorbetto. The pound cake was a bit too dense for me, and I like a bit more strawberry "sauce", that often gets sopped up by the cake. Bread pudding was perfect, dark chocolate crust on the top made it unique. Sorbetto was flavorful. Something to be aware of - there are lots of small upcharges, that aren't always clear (that a given thing costs more). Would you like bacon on your salad, $3; you're sharing that dessert, would you like an extra scoop of ice cream, $2.5. These may've been noted on the menu and I hadn't noticed. How can a place be upscale and trashy at the same time? I'm not sure-- but head on over to the Chophouse to see it for yourself. Hoodies, baseball hats, a lot of exposed tattoos, LOUD, and the food ranges from really good to mediocre. I'm a big steak fan and I like it medium rare if not a little under that-- any more and it can become gray and lose a lot of taste-- well we've gotten both. The osso buco was absolutely flavorless with way too much sauce, ditto the baked haddock which was buried under some kind of cream sauce-- let the food speak for itself. The service is always good, but that only goes so far. I will say I had a rough experience with one of the hosts-- we had reservations, and when I gave him my name I wasn't sure he heard me, so I did it again. He nodded and smiled, but that was it. Do you have my reservation? Is my table ready? How long am I going to be waiting? Should I make myself comfortable at the bar? These are pretty basic questions I think most hosts should have ready to go. I wish I could say this is a great place to go and celebrate a special occasion-- the place looks great but when it fills up and it's like a good chunk of the patrons all won a gift card and this is the first time they're eating in public. We tried the 111 Chop house's special wagyu menu last night. We split the Teriyaki Beef Skewers to start. They were very tender and the pineapple chili sauce added a lot of flavor, definitely would get again! The pre dinner Salads were fresh as can be with the perfect portions. My fiancé had the 7 OZ. WESTHOLME AUSTRALIAN WAGYU FILET. Her first time having Wagyu Which she loved! It was perfectly cooked medium rare. For the first time I tried the A-5 JAPANESE KAGOSHIMA WAGYU SIRLOIN. Of course cooked chef's choice, medium rare. It was amazing, melted in your mouth like butter! We had split the garlic mash potatoes and honey glazed Brussels sprouts, with bacon as our sides. Both are to die for! For drinks we both started with the espresso martinis, which was great. They were a stronger coffee flavor leaning martini. Then we each got a one of their signature cocktails the "Flirtini" which we both loved! For dessert, we split the crème brûlée, it was so good that we could have each ate one! The service was on point. They were on top of everything and made sure we were satisfied. The ambiance was nice, we were tucked back in the corner and did not have many distractions. My wife Beth took us to One Eleven for my birthday. Her steak was good, just as she likes it. My steak was terrible, I requested it to be Medui Medium well, a touch of pink inside.It came out very rare, I sent it back to be broiled more, it came back black, even more than Well done! It was probably the worst steak I have ever had. That is including some Sizzler and Ponderosa visits when I was younger. My wife didn't want me to make a fuss, so I didn't ,but I will NEVER go back there ever again. read more

In the spirit of complete honesty and disclosure we are here on Thursday night last week but only ended up having apps and a bottle of wine. So how could they screw that up you might ask. Well when you order oysters and they are served at room temperature is it just me or does that mean they were not packed in ice before being opened for service? Any way you cut it, room temperature oysters are right up there with gas station sushi. Avoid at all cost. Then I had a wedge salad which was also a spectacular disappointment. Why do they insist upon cramming the lettuce and salad fixings onto such a small plate? Either cut the salad down to size or use a bigger plate. But in any event....when you serve bacon on a wedge salad you might want to talk to your staff and sort of urge them to actually cook the bacon until it's crisp. Nobody wants to eat bacon flavored rubber. The crab cake and shrimp cocktail were Actually good but the place has consistently served red wine which is too warm. We were there on a Thursday during "Restaurant Week" and the public has apparently figured out that the food isn't up to par as it was only half full. I've never seen so many open bar seats as there were On this night. It's sad that the quality is suffering. read more

Recently had another outstanding dinner at the Chop House. From start to finish, all was superb. Both of our steaks, the cajun hanger and twin filets, were perfectly prepared and seasoned, and we splurged for the chocolate porterhouse dessert, and were very happy with it. Our servers, Jen and Justin were wonderful, friendly, helpful and attentive, and the cocktails were interesting and satisfying. Can't wait to return. read more

Came here for a family dinner and they loved it! This was my first time here and I was immediately impressed by the interior! It's fancy and romantic. Servers were very nice and attentive! The oysters were my fave! Very fresh and they're actually pretty huge compared to other places. I had the black pepper encrusted steak - which was not bad but I personally wouldn't order again just because the mushrooms on the side felt very hard. Steak was fine, I asked for medium rare and to me it seemed okay. I really enjoyed my mom's dish which was the grilled swordfish. I've never had it before and it was perfectly cooked! read more

Worcester Restaurant Week was upon us, and we checked out the many menus posted, deciding on the One Eleven Chop House. This is one of the finer restaurants in the area, and I've had some positive dining experiences here. Restaurant week usually provides a Prix Fixe three course dinner menu, with all participating restaurants, targeting that price point. This year the price was $28.22, though numerous restaurants offered premium options for an incrementally higher price. Service is typically excellent at this restaurant, and though it was busy on this Saturday night, service was excellent throughout the meal. Restaurant week dinners were priced from $28.22 to $35.22 here not including Tax and Gratuity. Diners can choose 1 item from each course. The Crostini was described as fair, and the bacon was thick cut, and difficult to cut with a butter knife, the diner noted it was a difficult appetizer to eat, and not especially appealing. We both ordered the Caesar Salad, with bacon (turned out to be an extra $1.50 for the bacon). The bacon was warm and tasty. The salad was underdressed and dry, lacking flavor. We both agreed this was a weakly executed dish. We had a glass of wine with dinner, I had a cab, my co-diner had a merlot. Her wine was very warm, too warm. She let it sit for a while to cool off. I suggested she return it, she said it would be fine. For dinners we selected the Stuffed Shrimp and the Cab Sirloin Steak. The steak was ordered medium/medium rare as the One Eleven Chophouse says they can cook between grades, which would be impressive if they could deliver on that statement. My co-diner was disappointed in the shrimp, she said there was insufficient stuffing and the shrimp was dry. Her whipped potatoes were very good, they seem to be great at potatoes here! My steak was a disaster, way too salty, overcooked, and tough. 90% remained uneaten, but the potatoes were delicious and thus became my entree. Our waitress asked if we liked our entrees, we politely provided feedback and the manager came over to apologize and ask if I'd like a different dinner, he said they could get it out very quickly. But I was full, having eaten the shrimp, salad, bacon, and potatoes, so I declined He probably should have offered a discount or gift certificate of some type, that would have been appreciated, as almost the entirety of the steak was untouched. The check arrived, just under $120 with tip. I've had some good meals here, and some experiences with issues. It's challenging for restaurants to deliver consistent results, though I posted a 5th consecutive 5 star review for Anya's last weekend. This One Eleven visit warrants 2 stars, as only the Bang Bang shrimp was worth the trip. read more

Ordered Prime Rib. Meat was beautiful and first bite was tasteful but cold after food runner warned me of hot plate. No one came to check on foods. I had to go up to A A Ron ({Arron} who I was later identified as the General Manager, to inform him my meat was cold. He had it taken away. Eventually when my other guests were finished my "meat " was returned. Same piece of meat but a brown color. I refused it as it was disgusting looking and my friends had completed their meals. A lovely female manager came over to apologize and gave me a gift card. Appreciated. When our server came with the check I asked why she had not checked on any of our meals and was told... "I had to go to the bathroom". Not acceptable. Aaron as the GM never came back and continued to set tables.... Not a task I would expect a GM to be performing. Very disappointed with his performance. I ate everything. I have gluten, dairy, egg and nut allergy. They were so friendly and accommodating. I didn't feel uncomfortable telling them about my food allergies. Was there recently on a fairly early Saturday evening. The maitre d' growled our name to identify us. He walked us to our table without a smile or a word. He never offered to take our heavy coats which we then stuffed into the booth. Our waiter was pleasant but returned frequently applying pressure for us to choose our meals making us aware he needed to turn our table as quickly as possible. The Beef Bourguignon I ordered was so plentiful, it looked like it was to be served family style for our party of 3. Sadly the meat was dry and tough and the excessive amount was not appetizing. My companion's braised short ribs were forgettable. The two desserts we shared were delicious. Afterwards, while standing in the very tight aisle to don our coats, trying not to punch each other in the eye or knock over the seated diners next to us, I had a feeling something was behind me. Turning, it was the maitre d holding menus in front of his chest and with a party of four following him. With no place to move, I offered a shrug shoulder and a weak smile as we scurried to get our coasts on so they could proceed. I was met with a cold stare from him and an unspoken "Hurry up!". Three people, 5 glasses of wine, 1 appetizer, 3 meals and 2 desserts cost close to $300 before the tip. It definitely was not worth it. read more

We have been coming here for years. Special occasions, NYE, post TDay family dinner or just a nice dinner out. Dining room is 1920's deco, dark steakhouse feel but enough lighting to read the menu. Both booths and tables on one side and a large comfortable bar on the other side of the room. Wine list is terrific and well priced. They only mark up bottles a little bit so this is a place you can try that special bottle. Steaks are always delicious, I get the 8 oz filet. I love the Cesar salad, yum. Desserts are quite shareable. Parking is in an open lot next to the building. Finding a space can be a challenge on a busy night but we always find something. The Ap's and Main's were cooked well, tasted very good and made to our liking. Overall a great dinner experience and our server was excellent. Just a few critiques -- The Sangria had a sour after taste... if they adding Simple Syrup it would have been awesome. Beef Bourg - Needed a lot more sauce... there just wasn't enough for the portion. Asparagus - Tasted bland including the sauce drizzled over top... needed help by use of condiments. Bread Roles - Doughy texture inside... they needed extra time in the oven. Bread Pudding - Very compactly made... a lighter version was expected so it was too heavy following any meal. We came to celebrate my son graduating from College. The food was horrible. We have eaten at many very good steak places and it was so disappointing. I don't eat meat so I ordered the baked stuffed shrimp. The stuffing was cold and seemed like it had been sitting around awhile. My husband said his steak did not break down in his mouth. So the wife and I return to the scene 8 years later on a Saturday. The place was packed and we wait a bit to grab our usual bar spot. Greeted by an overly energetic nice young man named Bryson we settle in w a very good Manhattan and her bar hill gin drink. The menu is a bit challenging and we start with some serviceable arancini French onion things. I decide to move all in with a bottle of nickel and nickel and Bryson actually offers to decant it. Nice! I order the prime strip, mid rare, with scalloped and she fed the short rib. We split what is a delicious wedge. And Bryson is spot on. Then the mains. Her short rib is good and the scalloped are really really really good. My steak? No grill marks, no char so I'm skeptical. With good cause. Instead of mid rare it's mid well. Send it back. Bryson orders another. Shortly after I get another. No grill marks, no char. And...blue rare and cold in the center. Ok so here's my beef, pun intended. You're a chop house. It's a $55 steak. This should be easy for you. But you screwed it up twice. The tab was up there especially because of the wine but nope. Sorry guys, see you in another 8 years. read more

Would frequent 3/4 times a year usually before or after going to victory cigar across the street. Was there recently and sat at the bar ... was going to order an app or 2, but I asked the bartender how their burgers were ? " best burgers around !" Was his response , ok I'll take one with bacon / cheese and fries ... Flat grilled burger comes out maybe 5/6 ounces , smaller than a quarter pounder , fries came out in a little basket , ice cold .. had to ask for ketchup , and silverware, had ordered onions but none came , do waited for that also ..got the bill almost 30 bucks ! Worst burger ever ! Sorry but waaaay too expensive especially when dinner is just not good ! Time to move on .. read more

This place is a family favorite! We come here for all major holidays/ events (New years eve, Mother's Day, thanksgiving weekend with the fam, etc.). They have easy parking and a 2 server system so there is always someone around to check in on you. The wine menu is impressive and reasonably priced. The food menu has a variety of meat and seafood on it and everything is delicious. I typically indulge in some warm bread, the Caesar salad and a filet!
