The food was very reasonably priced AND FANTASTIC! I had a steak tip salad and my husband had a gyro, fries and falafel. He said the falafel was one of the best he's had. He makes it a point to try falafels, so he's no novice! The steak tips were perfectly marinaded and super tender( I'm no novice either) and the tomato was nice and ripe, in May! Best Falafel wrap I've had in a long time! Strong flavors, high quality ingredients (fresh tomatoes and onions) plenty of Tahini (where others typically skimp), killer flat bread. You guys know I had to get at least one more new place in the books before the new year kicks off. And what better place to visit than a hole-in-the-wall local joint, amirite? Btw, for those who might be wondering about the lack of check-in here, that's due to wifey's propensity to continually demonstrate to the world why she is considered my better half by graciously picking up our take-away order. Whilst looking over the menu and easily spotting like 3 other items I wouldn't mind eventually trying, I went with my all time favorite - the steak and cheese. And overall I gotta say....the steak and cheese ain't half bad! The seasoning was actually spot-on to the point where I'd rank them about a 7 out of 10. I just wish they'd actually sautée their mushrooms instead of, like....merely warming them up. The fries were....fine. Though you may want ketchup on the side if you prefer that sort of thing and really find the need to disguise the otherwise prosaic taste and flavor. Like I said, they're fine. They just aren't anything especially earth-shattering. 6 out of 10. Looking over their menu, I get slight "Amphora" vibes, what...with all the kebabs and whatnot. Gotta say...I wouldn't mind finally discovering exactly what falafel is since I still haven't the faintest idea how to explain that situation, were someone to ask. We had an event to attend in Nashua later on in the evening. I had read reviews of Cedars Cafe and wanted to try it. I ordered a spicy lamb and beef dish (I can't remember the name of it), but it was excellent. Veggies were fresh. Meet was perfectly spiced. Husband ordered a Kibbe wrap with garlic sauce. It was great. Portions were very generous and prices were really reasonable. We talked to the owner and he makes all this food himself from family recipes. Let's hear it for great local businesses. Would definitely go back. Ambience is pizza joint ambience, but you go there for the food. It was quiet and pleasant. read more

They have the best falafels I've ever had. We tried the falafel combination platter that comes with two generous size falafels, a very fresh and yummy tabbouleh salad, humus and tahini. A solid Mediterranean/Middle Eastern spot in Nashua. Ordered a Kofta Kabob Wrap and a side of 6 falafel. The wrap was excellent. The meat had the perfect amount of seasoning and the flavors blended together perfectly. Was a bit disappointed with the falafel though, since I had high hopes. The sign out front says "Best Falafel in NH," and who am I to argue? But, I'm not really a huge falafel fan (I know, sacrilege). I do enjoy cuisine that offers it up, though, so this was an intriguing choice for dinner. Dining there is an interesting experience, since it definitely seems to have been built for take-out. Not that there's anything wrong with the dining space! But, we were the only two in the joint the entire meal, and several patrons stopped by to pick up to-go orders. Physical space aside, let's talk about the meal. I'm not above trying falafel, and they did offer a one-piece option (nifty), so I gave it a go. Let me tell you... that wasn't just the best falafel in New Hampshire. That was probably the best falafel I'd ever had! If it always tasted like this and had the same texture, I would probably eat it far more frequently. What's more, it comes with a sizable portion of tahini sauce, plus pickled veggies (very tart and tasty). Not bad at all for $1.35! I can imagine the wrap or the full order makes a perfect sized meal. But, I wanted something more meaty for dinner, so I went with the kafta and chicken kebab combination platter. You know those three-sectioned styrofoam boxes? Imagine the main section just completely full of tabouleh, and decent tabouleh at that. The next section: hummus. Lastely, the kafta, but it was still a full kebab's worth of meaty goodness. In fact, there was no room for the chicken, which looked to be about four tenders, so they served it on the side. I couldn't believe how much there was for only about thirteen bucks! Oh, and the pita... can't forget the pita. What's more, it was good! The food was stellar across the board, so much so that I didn't to stop eating. But I had to, about halfway through, because they give you so much of everything. Not only was it delicious, it was a bargain to be sure. I would definitely make this place a frequent dining spot if I lived in the area. We've been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. The cuisine reminds me of the food I had growing up and Pierre's tabouleh rival's my great-grandmother's (which is the highest praise I could give any food). The owner and his staff are very polite and go above and beyond, they as how your day is going and make sure they can do anything to make your experience a memorable one. First and last time here. I ordered the lamb wrap the meat was terrible undercooked and chewy. They charged me extra for the lamb .. atleast cook it correctly! Maybe their falafel is better but I don't want to find out. The lady that took the order was not very service oriented. Please do better! Amazing food and amazing service. They don't boast to have delicious falafel for nothing. The spicy falafel wrap was outstanding. Sometimes wraps can be dry but not the ones they make here. The wrap had tahini, spicy sauce along with onions, tomato and pickle and was perfection. The wraps are huge and are a great value for the price. My husband had kafta skewer plate and he said the kafta was superb. Since my husband did not want tabouleh, the owner was kind enough to substitute it for another side. Why does this place have a near perfect score? Stopped by Cedars Cafe for lunch recently and decided on the falafel wrap due to a slew of rave reviews. I was impressed with their prices as $5.99 will buy you a pretty decent-sized wrap with tomato, pickle, onion, and tahini. Other than the affordability of my meal, it's hard to find anything good to write about. My wrap was a bit dry and salty. The falafel was dense. While my wrap didn't completely suck, it was a far cry from the amazing descriptions in other yelp reviews. Service at Cedars Cafe is alright and the ambiance is meh. I hate to leave a bad review because the people that work here seem to be very nice, HOWEVER this is the second time I've eaten here (take out) and been sorely annoyed and disappointed with my food. I first came here based on Yelp reviews. I was looking for shawarma and much to my amazement this seemed to be the place to get it... and right in Nashua no less! When I went to order (I didn't see it on the menu) the owner told me that his machine had broken and it was too expensive to fix. I was disappointed, but life goes on. I ordered a chicken kabob wrap instead. There was no difference between me cooking a boneless chicken breast, adding some lettuce and tomato and wrapping it in a pita. It wasn't tasty and it was not worth $7. I tried again today and was craving a steak kabob salad. What I got was not what I figured I'd get. It was a ice burg lettuce with a few slimy cucumbers, mealy tomatoes, carrots (?!), onions, topped with (maybe) 7 teeny-tiny-itsty-bitsy pieces of steak. Take a look at the photo I uploaded and you'll see I'm not kidding. For a cost of $9.00+ I couldn't believe it. Insult to injury? The steak was tough and totally over cooked. I'm not a picky eater and I couldn't bare to take a second bite. It's a shame that this place gives such a bad impression of Mediterranean food. Looking for a quick bite to eat on the way up to Vermont, we stopped in this tiny strip mall restaurant for some falafel. I ordered some grape leaves to start, which was a good idea since the kitchen is surprisingly slow for a falafel place. The grape leaves were small, but packed a lot of flavor and at 6 for $4 not a bad deal. I'm actually glad we waited on the falafel and chicken kabob wraps since they were both excellent. The falafel had a nice crunch to it and there was plenty of sauce on it. At some places, the pita doesn't hold up for the whole wrap, but the pita at Cedar's was quite hearty and even a little chewy. The only slight complaint I have is that more vegetables would be nice. The chicken kabob was a very similar wrap, but replace the falafel with grilled chicken marinated in yogurt sauce. The chicken was quite tender, much better than I usually get at falafel/kabob shops and enough to make me reconsider my default falafel order. read more

I came in here because I've always noticed their "Best Falafel in NH" sign and was intrigued by the high standard they set for themselves. Sure enough- they do have good falafel but nothing amazing. Their hummus and tahini that comes with the falafel is pretty good. I enjoy their tabbouleh- its nicely marinated with lemon, cracked wheat, parsley, and thinly chopped tomatoes. It tastes very good each time I visit. Their chicken kebab is probably my favorite thing on their menu- very tasty and unique spices.
