I tucked into the bulgogi first and it was delightfully TENDER, and marinated in a WONDERFUL, SPICY sauce. The sausages were GOOD, and they seemed to be like a SPICY polish kielbasa. I saved most of them, took them home, and had them the next day with eggs for breakfast. Dining area and bathrooms are ALWAYS clean and inviting. I SHALL RETURN to try other menu items soon. I came here this particular trip for an assortment of sandwiches for myself and a hungry family. But my interest is piqued for coming back for an entire store full of rare treats and fresh goodies. We got a nice assortment - The Don, Enforcer, Big Earner, Cosa Nostra - and they were all amazing. My kids talk about Big Earner even weeks later when I mention going to an inferior (but closer to my house) sub place. The counter staff was pleasant and courteous, and I enjoyed my wait with a fun group of people in line. Whether you want some Italian groceries, or deli meats to go, or an amazing lunch that beats the pants out of some of the local chain competition - Loaf & A Pound won't disappoint! It was packed when we arrived at 1 and we were quoted 25-30 minute wait and we're seated in 24 minutes. We both decided to get the Easter dinner special and loved every bite. Generous portions, delicious ham, relaxed atmosphere and not only were we tickled pink, but all the tables around us seemed happy and satisfied as well. Our waitress was the icing on the cake. Seemed genuinely happy to be there serving us even though it was a holiday. She was like a Hummingbird bouncing from table to table spreading smiles. Just all around a great dining experience. The first two times, I ordered over the phone, then drove 20 minutes to pick up two mango smoothies, only to wait 43 minutes after arriving. There were barely any customers, so waiting over an hour total was completely unreasonable. Today was even worse. My boyfriend ordered summer rolls and spring rolls and clearly specified multiple times that we only wanted shrimp, since I have a severe pork allergy. He drove 30 minutes from work, only to be told the order still wasn't ready and had to wait another 18 minutes. When he got home, I checked the food (as I always do) and found pork in my "only shrimp" summer rolls. I called, and they told us to bring them back and they would remake them right away. We drove another 20 minutes back, only to wait an additional 18 minutes because, once again, the food was not ready. This place is overpriced, understaffed, and unreliable. More importantly, they do not take food allergies seriously, which is unacceptable.
