I ordered a large Chicago steak sub here this afternoon. When I got home and went to take it in, one end of the box was not closed and the entire thing spilled all over my car and the ground. When I had time to call later, the manager, who was very nice, said the OWNERS policy was I would have to bring it back to get a replacement or money back. Ordered 2 Personal pepproni pizzas & an Italian grinder. Both pizzas were burned beyond our taste. So I returned them & the remake was just as bad as the original effort. Also, the italian grinder was just cheese, a wad of ham, 1 layer of mildly flavored pepperoni that was the same color as the ham, & Italian sausage that was so scarce I had to double check the menu to make sure it was part of the sandwich ingredients. (Beware, Who puts mushrooms on an Italian sub???) They should relabel this grinder as a ham & cheese & mushroom sub because that's what this is. Even though the remake pizzas were unsatisfactory also, I still tried it because I paid for it. It tasted how it looks...Will go back to jets for detroit style crust pizza. We ordered carry out yesterday as the kitchen was full of thanksgiving prep. One small square cheese and a medium pepperoni round. My wife had to have been there when they came out of oven as they were still hot and fresh when she arrived home. They pointed out at pickup that they mistakingly cut the small square as a cheese bread, because they didn't look at the ticket, which meant I went from 6 small squares to 12 individuals strips. No big deal, it surely didn't compromise the taste and they owned up to their mistake and did offer to correct it. While placing the order was fairly quick it was a learning experience for someone as they were doing questions while I was giving my order. I'd rather hear this than receive the wrong order. I love Mancino's and I was very excited to order from them. I ordered three different subs, a basket of onion rings, and an order of loaded fries. 2 subs were awesome which is why they got 2 stars. One sub They only put cheese on half. If I had gotten a confirmation I would have seen the error and called immediately. It was just steak, cheddar and mayo. That's it. I would have definitely noticed a typo. The onion rings tasted weirdly like mushroom, not sure what happened there. The fries were not loaded, just a container if soggy plain fries, although I paid for loaded. My major issue is with the online ordering system. It takes you through heartland ordering. There is no way to check your order, and I never received any type of order confirmation. Once I hit submit it said I would receive a confirmation to my email which I checked and was correct , and I never did receive. Very disappointed. I hope to hear from management regarding correcting this. I'd love to change my review. read more

I got a pizza there tonight. It was edible, but that's all I can really say about it. I'm in search of a good pizza place that isn't half and hour away (both ways), but so far haven't been able to find one. I called to order because of another review that said their online ordering didn't give him any info. But weirdly, you can only order online here, or in the store. When you call, there's a recording that tells you the hours and no human picks up the phone. So I braved the online ordering (which I totally prefer) and had no problem with it at all. Is it just me or does it seem like a lot of places where you get takeout now just don't seem to care? Like, you ordered food, they sold you food and for some reason since the pandemic they don't care if it's good food anymore. I get takeout often and this year it's been more than 60 percent disappointing. read more

My wife after placing our order 30 minutes prior waited over an HOUR for a BURNT pizza, and 2 INCORRECTLY made subs. "DEB" the manager wouldn't even engage in person with the customers but instead retreated to her office and left the poor cashier to handle DOZENS of complaint issues just while my wife was there. Ordered from doordash after a rough week of work and it was delish. Got a mini pizza and a small grinder. Both were very good. The grinder had alot of meat on it. It was toasted to perfection and flavorful. I like my pizza on the well done side. They did it right. So many places when you ask for the pizza well done, you end up with burnt crust. Not at Mancino's. It was perfectly cooked. Would definitely recommend this place and I will definitely go back. Or, order in again if I'm feeling lazy. read more

Although I don't go to Mancinos very often, I am very impressed each time I do. The place is always spotless clean, the service is great, and the food is excellent. My mom and I usually split a 16 inch Italian grinder and it is delicious. The bread is always fresh and baked perfectly, it's loaded with meat and toppings. If I had just one compliment, it might be that there aren't enough fresh mushrooms for me, but mom would disagree since she doesn't like them. If you want an excellent grinder and good experience, I recommend Mancinos of Westland. read more

I've only been to one other Mancino's (Traverse City). Compared to that location, the steak & cheese grinder had drier meat, not as good of cheese, and not enough sauce. But service was fast, and prices were reasonable. I think if we were in the area we'd give this place another shot, but it was kind of disappointing compared to our other visit. The inside was clean, the worker who took our order was friendly, and there was plenty of parking as well as a nice little patio area outside (albeit right next to a busy street). read more

The worst antipasto salad hands down! Be aware when you order it has diced mushrooms on it. We hate mushrooms they looked at me like I was crazy when I told them normally they do not have mushrooms on it. They have a sign up that tells there policy is no credits or refunds once the food has left. I guess there is no remakes even if you are still in the store. Even if it is not what you expected they will not remake it!! During the weekends they have no managers reachable. I asked to speak to one and was told they have families and don't work weekends. This was mind blowing to me! Wow I work customer service weekends are the busiest and to have no one reachable was shocking. Did not eat it and they were aware I was not eating while my family was. My wife and I stopped in last weekend for the first time. I had the steak and cheese, and my wife got the French Dip. Both were sad in appearance. VERY little meat on both. My steak & cheese wasn't very flavorful. We were obviously pretty disappointed. Especially considering with 2 sodas and 2 fries we dropped nearly $30 for a "meh" meal.
