Celebration is fresh off a face lift and diving headfirst into the food and drink scene. Now, there's Oscar's--a full-menu restaurant complete with seating and a full bar. The game room has been relocated to the right when you approach from the mall entrance. And the lobby is reconfigured for tickets and concessions. Lobby feels darker inside than it used to, and there's lots of spilled popcorn on the floor near the soda pop dispensers. Regular sweep-ups will go far to convey the pride that the Loeks family doubtless has in its theaters. And that's all to complement the renovation of the theaters themselves that happened last year. It's always a good experience at this theater. Parking is easy, the line is usually short even on the opening weekend for the Minecraft movie. I have been about 6-7 times now and will continue to go. Most of the theaters have the reclining chairs and the place is huge! read more

The new recliners are not comfortable! Three senior citizens and all of us couldn't get comfortable. Seats are too deep, so feet don't touch the floor. To recline, the recline isn't enough, so you just end up feeling awkward in the seat! Very unfortunate! I will bring a pillow to help next time! read more

What a filthy place. Hadn't been there in years and if i wasn't with family and grandkids I would have turned around. Loeks theatres used to be the standard of excellence but this place was filthy on a 4pm showing. Popcorn all over the floor, embedded into the carpet, spilled pop at the filling stations, wastebaskets overflowed, and a horrible stench in the air. Carpet hadn't been cleaned in what looked like 2 years, and worn out with tape holding ripped carpet together. I expected much better. There's no excuse for letting it go downhill that badly. I will say the movie and sound quality was good. Again, loeks theaters were always better than this. read more

The workers are always very friendly and keep the theaters clean. They also have parking underneath which is nice on hot days.

The costumer service was terrible and the people here are rude. These people take their jobs too seriously for an overpriced movie theater.

The employee that sold me a ticket took her time to answer my questions about pricing. When I was purchasing food the employee slid me fruit snacks (I was buying the child kit) while I was ordering. Very clever gesture considering there was about to be a toddler meltdown. I was able to continue to order without stress. Movie was great, kids had fun, and because of this... so did I. Really enjoy going the movies here. It was such an improvement over the old Cinemark and staff here is awesome! The entire theatre is always clean and welcoming. It can get pretty busy here, especially on the weekends. The concession counter is my only complaint and that is really me being picky. It seems to take a long time to get through the line at times and I admit that I don't have any suggestions to improve it. read more

I've noticed a decline in the quality of service. I've gone to this theater before sometimes probably on average 5-6 times a year. This year I've gone 3 times so far and will never go back. First trip this year I had a ticket sales clerk argue with me over the age of my daughter and her ability to watch a movie with me when my daughter meets the requirements for the movie. Second trip which was last night I had my phone's screen light up and I grabbed it. Not even 3 seconds later I had a clerk walk up to me and tell me "You're not allowed to open you phone." Who the fuck does that to a guest? So today I thought "Ok, maybe it was just that person. Couldn't possibly happen again today." Since my daughter wanted to go see another movie. Today we went in and got called over to concessions and then the clerk walked away leaving us there for 3-4 minutes. Then in the movie we sat at the end of the row and I sat the popcorn down by my feet. My daughter(mid-movie) gets up from her seat walks infront of me to get the popcorn and not even a few seconds later an attendant comes up to my 3yo and tells her to get back in her seat then walks away. Ok....why the hell would you not talk to the parent?! Why would you not stop and just observe what's going on before you step to a guest or address a 3yo child instead of the adult? I will NEVER go back to this movie theater because an employee's actions, attitude and conduct are a direct reflection of the leadership in place. read more

Our 30th anniversary was May 11, 2021. My wife had covered the time of the anniversary itself with time-sensitive unrelated work. On the 12th, we went to Long John Silvers for dinner and attempted to patronize the cinema at Woodland, which is closed. Instead, we went to Rivertown. We had picked our movies online. Our choices were Here Today, and Raya and the Last Dragon. Here Today was first. We arrived with a little time to spare so interim interests were on the screen. I think the creators of these shows changed the volume to grab the attention of a slumbering audience. However, this difference of volume was more than just a difference. I'll admit a level of sensitivity others do not have. My wife did not react; but she tends to not be bothered by loud sound. I started shrieking with pain for the first two. The volume did not remain at that level, so I do think it was only an attention getter. read more

Some girl that was selling the tickets asked if I had military or college ID, and I told her I had a college ID and as I was taking it out she said "I seriously doubt that." Not sure if she thought I looked 17 or 30 but either way, horribly rude way to speak to someone. I just kind of stared at her and held it up. One of the cleaner theatres, my favorite as of now but I still haven't been to the amc with the recliner chairs across town so that will probably end up being my favorite. haha I hear they serve alcohol too but maybe the college kid in me is so embedded in my soul that I've started to actually believe my fantasies. Their theatre is always clean and the chairs are comfortable and spacious which I like. Welcome to super long lines. If you plan to attend a movie, arrive 2 hours early. Went to a matinee and waited over a half hour to get in....bought tickets online and were forced to wait in the concession line just to get in. Had no intention of getting concessions, no way around the the popcorn line, just to get our blinking tickets, ended up missing the first 10 minutes of the movie, management was young and inexperienced, no hope of going back. read more

I really enjoy movies, so even though we were on a little weekend getaway, we still decided to go to the movies. Granted it has been awhile since I was here (I haven't had much time to post reviews due to grad school demands), I still remember a lot about my experience and I took pictures. I really liked the theater layout. They had neon lights in the shape of palm trees which created a pretty neat atmosphere if you are going to be sitting around waiting for a movie to start. The Coldstone and a few other stores are attached to the movie theater (granted no nice sit down restaurant), so you can go in and buy your tickets then grab a quick bite to eat to kill time. This is a good way to drum up business. The theaters them selves were pretty average. They provided a clear picture to view the movie and you had your standard cinema seating. There isn't really much else to say. The floors to clean to the point most movie theaters are clean to. There was not mass amounts of food or sticky floors, so I'm happy. If you have ever been in a movie theater before, you won't be too surprised by what you see here. The staff was very nice and greeted us with a smile which I always love pointing out. When a business has good staff that make their customers feel appreciated and at home the business is doing something right. read more

Talk about not so cheap anymore. $27 for two tickets plus another $24 for two sodas, a regular popcorn & small bag of licorice. However the workers are very nice, & the theater was clean & so were the bathrooms so that's a huge plus in my book. The seating is very tight, would be nice to have them spaced out a little more kind of how the Dbox seats are. I felt like I was sitting on top of the stranger next to me last night when I went to see Venom. GREAT movie by the way, definitely recommend seeing it if you haven't! read more

This is probably the least of the Celebration Cinema chain. I don't like coming to the mall, and this place is far from the entrance. If you've parked at the wrong end of the parking lot, and the mall closes while you're in the movies, you may have a long walk in the dark. The screens and seats are fine. The lobby is confusing. The soda machines are always a mess. I only come here if the movie's at the right time. read more

This theater is located on the 2nd floor of the Rivertown Crossings mall. This place is very clean inside and looks new. This theater also has D-Box which is like a motion simulator ride. We haven't tried this yet, but it sounds crazy. So far all the theaters we have been into in this place are large with somewhat comfy seats. The armrests do not go up so it's not as comfy to move close to a significant other. The location makes it very easy to go to dinner beforehand as well. read more

Gibbs and Hubbs bought tickets to see Thor Ragnarak, and Memosa-my mom and I watched Murder on the Orient Express. I found the lines for the theater to be packed, I did not purchase in advance. We viewed the 7:50pm show. We bought the tickets at 7:34pm and still had a good pick of seats. Seats M 11/12 The theater will ask you to choose a seat that is still available which will be marked as white. Once you chose your seat in green, the seat is yours. I am not sure if this theater has DBox. I personally do not like it, but there was a dislay and you could samle the experience in the lobby. The theater was clean, and the staff was friendly. The bathrooms were clean as well. The snack bar has a lot choices, we bought a popcorn with lid/bowl to share for $9.00. If you join the club, which is free, you can get discounts. I also bought a pickle by Rico's, it was good. They will ask if you would like it open and drained. I had it drained. The first gentleman that helped was named Tyler, great smile and explained the club and the benefits. He also explained sizes of popcorn. The second gentleman who helped was Gabe. Both Tyler and Gabe get 5 stars for CS. It was a very good first time experience for me. 1 star lost on the size of seats, tight fit. read more

What a fun staff! I was there in the middle of the afternoon on Friday and was so very pleasantly surprised by the enthusiastic smiles that greeted me. The theater was clean, however the luxury seating that I've become accustomed to at other theaters was definitely missing - the super comfy recliners are part of the way I justify ticket prices! Welcoming and smiling faces make a difference though, and I would happily see more movie here. read more

I've been going to this theater since they first opened. (along with studio 28 of course) but celebration cinema is my all time favorite place to see movies! I feel so comfortable there. The staff is so nice and welcoming. There is no other place I would rather go to see a movie! The only little thing I would change would for the theater to be warmer. It can get pretty cold! So dress warm. Or do what I do, bring a blanket :) read more

One of my favorite of the Celebration! Cinemas! The staff is always beyond helpful. The concessions are great, popcorn is fresh. Being located in the food court of the mall makes it perfect for a day away from the world. The movie selection is the best part, in my opinion. This theater is stunning. It has the grandeur of an old theater and the contemporary flair of this century. This was my first experience at a Celebration! Cinema and it most certainly will not be my last. This entire corporation has made me feel welcome and truly went above and beyond my expectations of customer service. Celebration theater itself was great & the people were also very friendly but we paid an extra $10ish per ticket to sit in the "Dbox seating" thinking it would also be more comfortable than a typical movie theater seat. We were sadly disappointed. Sorry to say we will probably be going to Holland 7 and relaxing in their decently priced recliners from now on. read more

I go to this theater all the time and the cashiers are very pleasant but the reason I'm writing a review is because of the wonderful attitude displayed by staff today when encountered with my klutziness. I picked up my full soda and it spilled ALL OVER my legs and the floor, I began to panic when one of the attendants told me he'd get someone to come clean it up. I apologized quite a bit and they were both really nice about it and ON TOP OF THAT, the attendant asked me what soda I had and got me some! He was so nice about it and I felt so much better. Sorry again to those employees but keep up the great work! read more
