Features included a custom entry experience with a time machine back to the 80s, a mirrored dance floor, 80s classic games, different centerpieces for each table level, custom Rubiks cube dance platforms, a glam station and more! It really enhanced our night by 1423912837230473647299474 times!!!! All of our guests including us did not step off that dance floor unless it was to take a shot. lol Literally everyone was glued to that dance floor and we all had the time of our lives. As a wedding photographer myself, what I didn't realize is how much the LED dance floor would enhance the photos and video in the end. When we did table photos with all of our guests (we had all the guests come to us on the dance floor for pics before they headed off to the buffet)... instead of having basic ass table photos, we literally looked like we were on the Grid in Tron and it made the most AMAZING table photos I've ever seen!! Adam (the owner and the one controlling the lighting on the dance floor) was absolutely amazing! He programmed the floor and made it perfect for each scene or thing we were doing for the program. This was our greatest decision and SO happy Opulent events offers this kind of dance floor. The ONLY ONE on the island who does this. I HIGHLY recommend every couple to get this dance floor. They provided some gluten free items upon request also. I got so many compliments on the food! We were served a full brunch with beverage stations (worth paying extra for on sight staff.) At first, I wanted everything; linens, chair covers, backdrop and drapes inside the entire venue, a love seat and flowers. Despite the changes, Stephany was super accommodating. She never gave me a hard time about cancelling some of the services I got from her, and sent my invoice right away. I chose to do all white for my venue. I had white table covers, white chair covers, white sashes, and amazing pipe and drapes behind the head table. I was also provided with the leis, bouquets, boutonnieres, and a big arrangement for my head table. She provided me roses in pink and white color. They weren't exactly the flowers I was looking for, because I made a fake flower arrangement for my centerpieces, but, they were really beautiful. If you are particular, I would suggest that you have Stephany provide you with your flower needs, that way it would all coordinate and look the same. We were expecting about 500 guests for my baby's 1st birthday. With that many guests, a lot of…read moreenclosed venues would not be able to accommodate that many people. And so, I decided on throwing my baby's party at Bishop Museum's great lawn. With that said, I needed to find a tent company that could supply tables, chairs, and lighting for that amount of guests. Hawaii Tents & Events happened to be the best option especially for the price paid. Other tent companies I researched would have charged easily over $5,000 (without tax) and one company even quoted me close to $10,000. With Hawaii Tents & Events, I did pay a little under $5,000. But as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. The tents, tables and chairs weren't in the best condition but they weren't bad looking either. I did knock off a star because my communication with Tracey (Director of Sales & Marketing), though not the worst, was also not the greatest. Over the phone, she seemed really nice. It was just, at times, it was hard to get a hold of her. I didn't get responses as quick as I would have liked, especially when it came down to figuring out the layout of everything. A lot of my other vendors were dependent on the final layout and some decisions throughout my party planning had to be held off longer than I would have wanted. The mediocre communication, however, would not keep me from booking with them in the future. Their prices really cannot be beat!

Charelle was fun to work with, organized, easy to communicate with and a wealth of knowledge for every question I had in the lead-up to the wedding. She met with us the week before the wedding and also ran our rehearsal for our bridal party the day before the wedding, which helped everyone feel confident for the ceremony the next day. The wedding day itself went by flawlessly -- Charelle and her assistant Jillian did a great job managing all the vendors and we were able to stick to the timeline without any delays. Having the two of them there coordinating everything definitely helped me stay calm and enjoy the wedding day instead of worrying about things. We received so many compliments from our guests on what a smooth day it was, resulting in a fantastic wedding everyone enjoyed. First off, Cheryl is amazing and so easy to work with; she cares and is so understanding. Having her over for this party has literally been 6 years in the making (she was originally set to be there for my daughter's 1st birthday party-- but COVID). Fast forward to last year, and once again we had to reschedule (due to getting COVID). Still, she let us reschedule and we were SO incredibly happy to finally have them today. They were friendly, professional, sweet to the kids at the party and they completely set up and took down their set up without needing anything from me. Now, the cotton candy was no JOKE! They offered a variety of flavors and the favorite of the party seemed to be green river. The kids (and adults) were stoked with it. Side note, I was half expecting the little pieces of cotton candy to fly similar to the at home cotton candy machine I have at home but everything was pretty contained! Also, don't get me started on the popcorn!!! They offered different sizes (small and large) and had different toppings and seasonings! People could customize their popcorn with seasoning like garlic, elote, Parmesan, cheddar cheese, and MORE!
