It has been months, and I still recall my awful experience here. On March 26th I was heading out of town from Lewisville and needed a car wash. I have microfiber tan interior, and I had some small condensation stains, so I hoped to get those knocked out too. When I arrived on a Friday afternoon at 1 it was pretty quiet. There were maybe 4 cars being serviced and one young lady assisting customers that were rolling up. She didn't seem to thrilled to be there. The options were on a sign that was to my left. They ranged from acceptable ($15) , to perfect ($25), to absurd ($149). As she asked me what I would like, in a big hurry, I told her my option. Before I could finish she handed me my slip. I said, "by the way, can I add on the steam cleaning for my seats?" She looked rather annoyed. "Yeah, but no." she said. "If I add it one then after your wash you will have to get back in que and on a busy Friday there is no time for that, so you can just come back Monday and we will take our time then." You would think the place was about to close. "Actually, I am from out of town. I won't be back Monday. Can I just get ba..." She says, "Oh, okay. It's too busy today, but if you can make it back Monday we can do it then." I just drove off and got my wash. The shame is, it was a great wash, dry and vacuum. I was impressed with it when they were done. But those seats were my main goal. Unaccomplished. The cahsier was very sweet, the waiting/sales area was clean, and they had light snacks and refreshments. However, I really feel as though I should have been offered that option to get back in que. Just pulled in and tried to get a car inspection. The same guy that treated my wife so poorly a few months ago was there. We double parked will he was testing a truck. He asked us what we wanted. I said an inspection as I was showing my 18 year old what was required in this process. After a few minutes and moving both of our trucks he did not bother to come out and get the process going. We went next door to Firestone and they were nice and pleasantly told us one car in front of us. Firestone did the paperwork and told us to have a seat. I will never go back to celebrity again as this is the third time this same guy acted like he was just to darn busy to get to us. Good luck celebrity... read more

Update: Celebrity changed owners a few years ago, and I no longer recommend it. The current owner is extremely rude when a customer expresses displeasure, and the turnover there is a revolving door. Cars have been damaged with no responsibility being taken by the owner. There are plenty of good car washes in the neighborhood to choose from now. I would stay away from this one. I live in Fort Worth but was up in Flower Mound when I saw the big blue gorilla out in front of Celebrity Car Wash kicking off their 18-minute car wash guarantee. I never get a full-service car wash but had actually almost gotten one the weekend before closer to home so I decided to pull in and get a professional cleaning job on my GTI. I got their Red Carpet Express Detail and they really did a great job! My interior hadn't looked that good in way too many months. It made me happy I was a good distance from home so I could enjoy driving my car with it looking so good. My car has low-profile tires with big spoke rims that show through to the rotors. Even when I wash the car myself the rims are something that require a lot of attention and I always find sections I missed. The guys at Celebrity got all the spots and made them shine. My only complaint (and this is being picky) is that my seats were pushed forward and angled up and my rear view mirror and a/c setting knobs were out of whack from were I had them. But, I suppose that is normal when someone else is doing the cleaning and not myself. The staff was friendly and the guy at the counter remembered and called me by name when it was all done. I like that. Celebrity had internet connected computers set up, free Starbucks coffee and a nice waiting area so I didn't spend my time there pacing around bored waiting for the job to be done. If I lived in the Flower Mound area I could see myself stopping in at Celebrity Car Wash every now and then to get that extra special cleaning of my car. read more

I visited Celebrity Car Wash today, and I have to say it isn't your run of the mill car wash. They did an outstanding job with getting my car clean and managed to remember not to spray the fragrance in my car. (Always a plus!) A great wash is only one part of the story. I think the biggest difference between Celebrity and most car washes is the waiting experience. They provide a computer bar and Internet access for their customers complete with 3 PC's and two Macs. They also have a large waiting area with a TV and several leather chairs and couches. The interior decor is higher end than most. You'll also notice how spartan the interior seems. They have a cooler for drinks, coffee, and a few cards and accessories. But, you aren't in car schlock hell like the wait area in so many other washes. For $39 they did a complete vacuum and wash, hand dry, tire dressing, shampooed the mats, and cleaned all the interior windows, seats, and panels. Once it was done, outside of the few door dings and scratches it has accumulated over the last 4 years, it looked as shiny as the day I picked it up. My 3 year old even thought I should take a picture of the "shiny, clean car." Must be making a comment on how infrequently I get it done. read more

When I took my truck back for them to look at, they were disinterested in taking accountability and were no help. I had an oil change and free car wash. I asked the attendant how much while sitting in my SUV. He quoted me $56. I agreed and left him my car. This was the same price as my dealer so I thought nothing about it. When I when to pay, the bill was $80. I asked why and he told me that the $56 was for 5 quarts and I needed 6 plus I have a skid plate. I was in the car when he gave me the quote?? The car wash was a joke. They didn't even remove the tape they put on to hold down the rear wiper blade. I would have a better wash if I had simply left the car in the rain. read more

I had no issues with my truck being washed, they do a relatively decent job. The problem is that I was sold on paying $29 for 1 unlimited month of carwashes, no mention of a reoccurring charge. Not cool. I went by 2 times after and the attendant assured me they would cancel and not charge my card again and that I could use my membership until the end of the month. They did indeed charge my card. I went back to get the problem taken care and had voice serious concern before they would refund me. And, I wasn't able to get another wash even though I had been told I would be able to dos so until the end of the month. Buyers beware! Shady business practices. Today I made what will be my last trip to Celebrity Car Wash on FM 407 in Flower Mound. I've been going to this car wash on and off for as long as it has been in existence. Over the years I've watched it decline steadily. It is quite apparent that the current owner (who's out of state) either cares nothing about the experience their customers enjoy or knows nothing about it. Yelp reviews might be a good place to start "Mr. Celebrity". This review is in fact as wordy as it will be on the off chance you, Mr. Celebrity actually read these. It used to be there was a tip box that was located where you waited for your car to be dried. So if you tipped it was before you made it to your car to see if the job they did warranted a tip. Because of past experiences with oversights on the part of the interior cleaning I have elected not to tip on the next visit. The tip box is gone and you now tip when you get in your car. Today I was prepared to tip since the previous visit was satisfactory. The guy (round face, Texas hat) closed the door behind me as I sat down and it was obvious he felt slighted at no tip offered. I'll call him Tex. I was distracted and had overlooked the tip. I looked into my wallet I saw that I only had one $1 bill. Not wanting to tip $1 but not willing to tip $5 I motioned Tex to the window and as I handed him the $5 I began to ask for change while he quickly grinned and turned to go. I had to stop him and explain I wanted change. He outright laughed at me and said to his coworker "Oh my god!" and then explained that to him that I wanted change. There was a laugh at my expense between Tex and the other guy as well as another member of the staff. Tex handed the change to another guy to give to me. As I put the car into gear to leave I rolled down the passenger window and I had to almost yell to Tex to get his attention, though he was inches from my car he was intentionally not looking at me. When I did get his attention I said "Maybe I should just get my $2 back if you're so insulted?" and Tex feigned ignorance, pretending he didn't know what I was saying. Furious at the insult I drove off and immediately called the car wash and asked for the owner. Through broken English I was told the owner was out of state. I then asked to speak to the Manager and I was told he was busy. He asked if he could give him a message at which I replied "Tell him they just lost a customer." This is the closest full service car wash to me but I'll be driving past it to go to one that is run better. read more

This place is terrible. Took our Suburban in for its first inspection and a tech was standing outside smoking a cig. This is the same tech that inspected the Suburban. Got in the SUV to drive off and the SUV smelt like a$$. Asked for the manager and they said he was busy. There's a reason this place has just 2 stars and 99 reviews...it sucks. read more

Came back to get my car run through just the water cycle...I assume it was the owner says no no we no wash...48 hour guarentee was yesterday...it rained yesterday and this morning... They were closed due to the rain yesterday... Lol...this owner is crazy...he would lose a weekly customer over a free rinse wash...what a JOKE! I took two of my vehicles for an oil change and detail. They detailed one car, washed the carpets but left them completely soaking wet in the heat with the windows up which caused the whole car to smell like mildew. It took me two weeks to air the car out. They also didn't really detail the interior. Kind of just wiped it down which was not what I paid $120 for. The second vehicle they didn't detail AT ALL. They just vacuumed. The reason I wanted the carpets washed on the second vehicle was because I had it sitting in my driveway for several weeks while it was broken down. I didn't know it had a leak, and we had so much rain, that mold was growing on the carpets. So I wanted the carpets cleaned. They did not do it because they "misunderstood". I did NOT pay for the detailing because they did not provide the service. The older gentleman in the oil change side was also very rude and yelled at my husband when we were dropping off the vehicle. Didn't even give us a quote and just took the keys. We have been taking our vehicles to Celebrity for a while, and stopped for about a year or two. When we went back this time we were incredibly disappointed in the service. It's definitely not the same service they offered 2 years ago. read more

This place is awful and understaffed. I took my 1 week old car here and got the most expensive car wash available. The guy who got in my car to drive it didn't release the parking brake and floored it burning my clutch and parking brake. Then after running it through the wash there was nobody there to stop my car from running into the pickup truck in front of it. Still pretty upset about that. Then as he drove it up to finish the detail he stalled out. After all that, none of them spoke English and they never apologized. All they said was "It's okay", like it's fine to let cars hit each other. I used to go here years ago when it was a premium facility, but after the awful experience I had today I will never be back. Well...at least it is not just me. Pulled up for an inspection after being here for an oil change a week ago. Guy walks up and asks for my insurance...I fumble with my mobile app and he mumbles something and walks off. Once I have the app up I stand in front of the car waiting while he goes to work on something else...never making eye contact. I wait patiently and he then walks over to another area in the shop as I continue to stand...about 5 min. at this point. He finally grabs his clipboard and decides to acknowledge I'm still waiting at which point I jump back in the car and drive off. My husband and I have been coming here for years. Recently, Celebrity has changed the service process and it is a nightmare. Celebrity car wash is overpriced for the level of detail they use while cleaning and waxing cars. I expected more for my money. I spent nearly $250 between two cars. I returned both to have the work redone. I reread some of the posts on yelp and would say my poor experience was very similar to others. I've brought my cars here for three years. I have come here several times in the past and have been satisfied. However, this last time was a very bad experience. I stopped by to get my wife's GLK washed and wanted the mats shampooed. I went with the Red carpet express detail package. The price of the package is 44.99 and 49.99 for oversized vehicles. Needless to say they charged me the oversized vehicle price for my wife's tiny GLK! I was in a hurry and asked how long it would take. I was told an hour to an hour and a half. I said I couldn't wait that long and they assured me they would have it done in less than an hour. So I agree. Well approximately 2 hours later they were finished. I paid $28 for a special cleaning. It was supposed to include 'Cracks, crevices and vents dusted with compressed air' and 'Carnauba hot wax'. The guy said it would take about 25 minutes. They came to get me after 10 minutes. I asked why the time was so short and they said 'it's too slow'. The exterior of my car is not even clean because the first person in the drive thru exterior car wash didn't prewash the hood. This used to be a good car wash place but no more. 2/11 - Stopped back in to get a car wash and speak to Doug Dallafior, the General Mgr. Doug was kind enough to reply to my review and so I wanted to go in and meet him. This is what makes reading and reviewing local businesses fun and rewarding, getting to connect with folks that are as interested in taking care of customers as I am in being taken care of as a customer. I travel a bit for work and tend to obsess a bit about customer service. Truth be told, I'm in the customer service industry if my business was boiled down to the essentials. As much as I like to get good service, I'm always looking to learn what I can do to improve how my operation is run, how I can deliver excellent service in whatever capacity that entails. I left a "meh" kind of review and pointed out a couple things that didn't convey good customer service or attention to detail on my last visit. Doug was concerned enough to inquire about my experience so he could understand what went wrong and more importantly, ensure things were not that way anymore. I appreciated the fact that someone in management was actually reading the review but secondly I was even more impressed with the fact that he chose to address it directly, face to face. Now, my issue was minor. In reality, many people might not have even noticed the little things I pointed out but the fact that Doug wanted to connect with me shows a great deal of character on his part. After spending an hour chatting with him, I can see he really cares about his customers and employees. Running any business has it challenges and this place has the same as many other businesses around this area but with this level of customer care and attention to detail, I'd highly recommend Celebrity Car Wash. And if you aren't happy with the service, don't just give up. Take a chance to say something. Part of getting excellent service is in expecting it. When a business owner or management meets that high expectation, then thank them by recommending them to your friends and visit often! I'll be back, with my "high expectations" because I know these guys get it. read more

To boot- I saw more workers walking around eating and more folks just walking around moving around cars without much flow. I had the unfortunate situation of my dogs fighting a skunk and losing. After a quick trip to the emergency clinic (they had the skunk in their mouths), the dogs were fine, my car was not. I spent 5 says trying to get rid of the odor on my own, and knew I needed professional help. I went to two other detail places and they did not want to have anything to do with the clean-up. From the moment I drove up to Celebrity, I was assured they could help. The manager spoke to me personally and came up with a plan that worked! He even thought about getting my air filter changed (he took it next door and it was done). I can not think them enough! The smell is so much better and my car is showroom clean! Celebrity car wash is a fancy Schmancy car wash center. The interior is lavishly appointed with a full coffee bar, comfy chairs, nice computers and tons of magazines to read. Also several large flat screen TVs to watch. So, the wait was very very nice. But, what didn't do it for me was the actual car wash...which is what I came for. The quality was very sub par. Lots of dirty spots remained, including mud on my undercarriage. Their idea of drying off the car was a joke and they applied the time treatment and armor-all in a cheap, fast and haphazard manner. When I complained, they offer to fix it if I came back later because I was in a hurry. But, the whole reason I brought my car to a car wash was to get my car clean and looking good quickly. I normally wash my car myself if I have the time, so I am paying for the convenience. So if I have to wait around all day to have it done right, or come back on a second visit, then to me this is just a waste of money. Overall, I do not plan to go back. Nice inside, but honestly its a car wash....your goal is to spend as little time as possible waiting and get back in your CLEAN car and back on the road. I normally get my oil changed at Kwik Kar but today I was in a bind So I took it to celebrity. pricing was good the service was very slow and when they were done they left big oily black handprints all over the hood of my white truck - not impressed at the lack of care by the technicians. Probably won't go back. Now they want me to use them to wash my truck by hand $50. No thanks. read more

Warning: The new owner of Celebrity Car Wash is a dishonest crook. My 2000 Jeep didn't pass inspection due to the license plate light being out and the EGR Sys status was N/S. I got the light fixed and took my jeep in to my mechanic who said the jeep should have passed once the light was fixed. I went back, and he said it wouldn't. I then took my paperwork to Firestone, next-door. They assured me it should have passed, but I was told no again. The manager wasn't there but I went to visit him the next day. He told me that he would refund my money if I brought the paperwork to him. I got my inspection done elsewhere and took the paperwork to him, but he refused to refund my money. I will never do business with them again. They were dishonest, rude, and impossible to communicate with. read more

Warning... Beware. I used this place for awhile until..... My girl took the truck over for an oil change and car wash. They talked her into Royal Purple synthetic ( they have a history of talking the less knowledgeable into unneeded or upgraded services) when I've always run dino oil in it and then.... forgot to refill the oil after changing it !!! Needless to say, it ruined the lifters before it was figured out. ( It does speak to the toughness of Ford's 5.4L) They offered a free oil system flush and change and free car wash as restitution. Very disappointed in the car wash I received today. The door edge guards were still caked with dirt. The side mirrors were wet. The windows were still dirty and they broke an access panel under the dashboard on the passenger side. How they did that, I will never know. What pisses me off more is I paid for the higher wash AND tipped them prior to looking at the car. I won't do that again! read more
