I chose this location after having to wait in line for two hours at the Lantana site, where they also forgot to perform my inspection. Although both locations are under the same company, the service here is night and day compared to the other. When I arrived at this center, they immediately took me in for my inspection and had me out in just 20 minutes. If you're looking for a professional and easy-to-work-with place, this is the Kwik Kar Auto Center I highly recommend. Extremely rude manager who had me pay for oil change service before the work was completed. After paying, learned that they had not reset service needed display as promised before I agreed for to oil change. Manager said they didn't have time to reset it and I would have to wait an indefinite amount of time until an employee finished another job to reset the display. The employee overheard the conversation and came to me later after approximately 30 minutes and tried to reset the service needed display, without the manager's knowledge. Turned out that the scope had not been updated for some time and his software could not reset the code for a one year old vehicle. I tried to take the poor service complaint offline, but the rude manager refused to tell me the name of the business owner or their phone number when I asked. I had to go to a corporate owned Kwik Kar in a neighboring city to get the code reset, where they reset the code with a smile while I waited. The Lewisville Kwik Kar store on Main Street should be avoided for poor service and customer relations in my opinion. read more

I stopped to get the oil changed on my car and noticed they also had a car wash. I went over to the car wash and had a really good experience. My car came out very clean (I did not have to ask them to redo anything), and Scott was super helpful. I received a significant discount because of the oil change, as well. For the oil change, there wasn't any pressure to purchase "extra" things. They indicated my air filter was dirty, but didn't wear me out about it. The tech did let me know my washer fluid reservoir had a leak. I checked the oil level when I got home and it was just right. I took my beautiful brand new Mercedes coupe there! I've had my car 5 days, first car wash! It came out with two deep scratches! The manager acted like I was a complete idiot took no fault claims it must have been there! I understand these things can happen but when they do as a company you should make this game right! Went to have my car detailed. They hand waxed it and then used foam pad buffing, polished out headlights, conditioned leather seats and treated black trim molding around wheel wells, bumpers and black trim between windows. My car looks beautiful! Paid every attention to detail and so pleased with the care and consideration their team gave to my car. Heck yes, I would recommend this for everyone! I've used these guys for both state inspections and their car wash. In general I'm very happy with the service they provide. Their ticket writers and cashier staff could be a little more interested in their jobs and less interested in shooting the breeze with their fellow employees. However, the folks doing the wash itself always seem to do a good job and be very thorough. Their "Works" package is usually what I choose. It will get you a vacuum, wipe down inside, full wash with a hand dry, interior window cleaning, and an obnoxious car wash fragrance. (Which by my description you can tell I skip...) These guys do a better than average job of providing a clean car. It is really the final crew that dries and cleans the windows and interior that makes the difference. They are detailed oriented and take the time to make sure they wipe down areas like the door jambs, bumper, and running boards. In my experience not all crews are as thorough. I would call it a mini-detail and well worth the price. read more

MAIN STREET CAR WASH. - HORRIBLE EXPIERENCE. Usually these guys are great and nice people, but there is always one Hispanic lady( the only heavy built lady there) who is always rude. Today I came in with my truck to simply do an express wash and she tried to tell me it was going to be $15. When I know ahead of time it is $8.99. Afterwards, she was extremely rude and I asked her to clean my windows and she started going off because I paid the express wash and wanted "so much extra." ***STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE*** My family has been going to place for years and never had an issue there before other than an employee smoking some weed during an oil change. Yesterday my son takes his 2014 chev Cruze for his regular oil change and this "heavy set guy" names Chris began to lace out profanity towards my son while the other employee"skinny n nice guy" also named Chris was almost done put the regular oil in. Heavy set Chris is telling my son he needs to put synthetic oil in there not the cheap shit oil that they have($47.97). My son confused ask heavy set Chris what he was talking about and he stated his owner stated any car after the year 2000 has to have synthetic oil inside the engine. My son told him that's not true and nice Chris didn't say anything about that and too leave him alone. This gets worse heavy set Chris whom I later find out to be the manager on duty tells my son get the "fuck out of here and that his mother was a whore". Of course my son the got upset and gave heavy set Chris the bird and asked nice Chris to finish the oil change because he now was beyond upset. I show up 15 minutes later and skinny Chris apologizes to me for the treatment my son received from u know who. Heavy set Chris now couldn't bs me like he did my son and began to blame the owner who name is Scott and etc. I knew I was dealing with a liar so I told everyone there that I was coming back today to speak to Scott. Well everyone the apple doesn't fall to far from the tree Scott does apologize about heavy set Chris false information but says that the name calling is the first he's heard which I knew what was next, which was my son started to swear which trust me was after the fact. I dropped in to see if they could wash and do an interior detail on the fly. They were courteous, quick, did a wonderful job, and charged a very reasonable fee. I went there today, not sure they'd even be open since we have rain forecasted for this afternoon. But I had to cast off the year's worth of "off road credibility" in time to pick up my brother at the airport. Funny.... he down't like dirt, grime and mystery gunk. Go figure I have a AWD off-road package Element with all the vinyl panels and wipe-down interior. It had layers upon layers of son and dog-induced crud, which I was skeptical could even be removed, much less during my lunch hour. The windows had tree sap sprinkled on themfrom parking under the wrong tree some time last year, and well.... let's just leave the rest up to your imagination. For $35, these guys blew my mind. If it weren't for the miscellaneous hail dings, the thing looked NEW. I really didn't think that would ever happen again. They did such a good job dressing all the vinyl, cleaning under the seats, etc., that I tipped them an extra $10. I'm kind of a tightwad, so that should tell you something. I Washing cars isn't exactly a glamorous job, and I imagine it's tough to stay motivated, but these guys demonstrated outstanding service and quality. read more

I have been to every car wash within 20 miles of my house, and I won't go anywhere but Main Street. Most of them are worthless unless you upgrade to a full and expensive detail. Main Street is an exception. They always do a great job and have very reasonable prices for the basic service. I have a 50-pound collie/shepherd who travels with me all the time, and they somehow manage to get rid of most of the hair for the regular "Works"--I think it was either $29 or $39. Of course, nothing gets rid of all of it but a full detail, but I'm very happy with the bang I get for the buck here. read more

We came in, and I payed for a water from the vending machine. What came out? Not a Water, but a grape powerade. I went up to the counter to tell manager to let him know and he said "Oh sorry, there's some water over there" (which why would they have water that you have to pay for outside when there is free water??) and didn't pay me back at all. We checked the place out and my stepdaughter payed for the massage chair which just massaged for only about a minute. We sat there for an hour and finally took our car early since they didn't dry it because it was raining. When we came into my car, we were shocked that they actually charged my car for this, and the rain could of just cleaned the outside. It didn't look like they even did anything to my car, there was dust and crumbs still all over. Overall a terrible experience. read more

I dropped my car off with two years' time on it since the last detail, and a pee accident in the front seat :( I picked it up at closing time and slid into pristine cleanliness with a wonderful lack of chemical, urine, or artificial smell. I didn't even want to scratch an itch for fear of dropping skin cells on the cleaning job. The staff saw immediately that this was my first time at their shop and were very helpful helping me navigate their layout. The team and their car tracking system works well together, to the point of the cashier guessing which car was mine when I walked into the office to pay. They stopped by my place of business said they were running a special because they were slow and they would do a complete detail inside and out under the head it's a $250 value for $100. Sounded like an awesome Dell tech less than an hour they had my car back to me they scratched my window tent, tires were not cleaned completely, The carpets were soaked and smelt like mildew, all the glass and windows and car had a cloudy film, under the head dressing was never wiped out or down, the trunk was never cleaned, wax was left all over the car (never buffed out) I took my car by there twice, I've called four times, I've texted the guy mini mini times with no reply until ours over four hours later... And it's been a week and they still have not fix the issue they don't call back don't return calls I'm going to file a claim with the city and file a law suit for damages and refund. read more

Very rarely do I pay to have my POS car washed. Usually I do it myself or not at all. Decided it was past time to scrape a few layers off and I had a Visa gift card to burn. Lived in Lewisville practically my whole life and this place has a great reputation. So I chose The Works for $34. Excellent customer service and neat, comfy atmosphere. But... I was underwhelmed by the car cleaning. I had to touch up many spots that were missed. Granted, my car was dirty. Like really, really dirty. I wasn't expecting a miracle but the center console hadn't even been wiped down. In the end--I'm happy to support a local business and I'm relieved that I didn't have to do this loathsome chore myself. Maybe I'll give it another chance next year. read more

This place is horrible. I brought my car in to be detailed and it appears that someone took it out for a joy ride and damaged it. The owner stated that my car was like that when we dropped it off however, I would have been aware if there were that much damage on my car. Even though We're not, they treat us like family. I have ALWAYS been pleased with what I get. And when I pay for the extra detail services, they NEVER disappoint. This was my first and last visit to this car wash. I paid for the Main Street Special for $21.95. I went because that morning I spilled Big Red all over the floor and dash on the passenger side and also because the birds really got me this past week. When I got my vehicle back there were soda stains all over the glove box and side panels. There was bird poop still on the car. Which meant that when we got home we still had to clean our car. Totally pissed! The tires looked good. That's about all. Never again especially for $21.95. I took my Ford expedition one time a couple of years ago and they did a motor detailed, some how they got water in my battery and I couldn't drive my truck after that because it wouldn't start for a couple of days. Today ******* I went back for oil change in a 2015 Chevy Silverado****** The guy there said : Ma'am I'm going to charge you $56.00 because you need to have synthetic oil. I said FINE. He completed the oil change then tells me is going to be $ 99.00 I replied you told me it was going to cost $56 he said I'm sorry it is what it is. I could have done this at the dealership and pay the same $56 with tire rotation included. The short dark haired guy that does the inspections should be fired. He is nothing but argumentative and thinks he knows it all. He claimed he could not pass my vehicle, which was made in 1990. He failed the vehicle for reasoning that has nothing to do with safety inspections. I confronted him about it and unbeknownst to him I've been a mechanic myself longer than he has been in Earth. Every question I asked him he could not answer and continuously tried to beat around bush until he realized he was wrong and walked away. As we pulled up he said go ahead and pay like everything was fine, then they tried to charge me inside for a full inspection. I've had more than one peoblem with the inspection portion of this business and my next call is to the state. Shut these people down already. update! 5 mins later we went down the street and it passed with no issues. Then i decided to go to yet another place and ask them the questions i asked the first place and they agreed with me. There were a lot of missed spots and the interior dressing they put on the dash was sloppy, leaving lent all over it. I ended up going over it again at home.
