This review is for a January 2, 2026 event held at CELEBRITY HALL in Inglewood. To begin when I arrived the floors were being mopped and we did not have immediate access to the kitchen area, which is the area that we needed access to at that time. I was told that there were three ovens available for use; there were only two usable. The stove top is not available and there is no microwave. There were several people (5 or 6) IN OUR WAY as we were trying to prepare and set up for our loved one's repast. A few of the people were actually in our space as we were preparing food, going behind us to wipe down the sinks and counters that we were still using. EVERYTHING is an upsell and you will be charged for anything in addition to the rental of the hall itself. NOTHING is included except ice and lemonade that has been pre-poured into cups and sat on the bar top. I was almost forced to do the walk-through two hours early. The "crew" started cleaning up around the guests while they were still socializing. When we did start to put our food away and gather our belongings, they were right under foot picking up and throwing out things/stuff that we had put aside to take with us (food, beverages & accessories). We felt extremely rushed to leave although we still had time left. When we left we still had 1.5 hours, per the contract. Helen was nice. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. read more

It's a nice place, but totally not what I expected .. Its a long room, The patio is in the back totally not connected , its more of a smoking area.. They want a deposit before you can view the place, which is Ridiculous!!! I had to pay for extra chairs, and watch out,....They do not supply everything that is on the website & there's additional pay for table clearing, table linen is not included, but it states included on website..Theres a charge for Bday Marquee. The lighting for dance floor was too bright & No tapes or balloons can be attatched on walls. . Theres a huge kitchen, but no microwave & you cant put food in sinks.. They charge $150 for bartender & $700 to buy out bar & $10 per Table Champagne bottle pour .. If your not using the facilities own DJ, you can't use their DJ booth, its for online device streaming only.. Theyre giant pillers blocking dance floor..The deposit went from $400 to 1000 when you go in to see the place .. the Owner stopped by after party to oversee if he could charge for anything else lol lol I gave him one of my Bday candles.... Honestly, I was soo drained from negotiating for this place, I was not happy with the pressure of charges. Just too many unnecessary charges. I needed a venue for my 40th birthday. Celebrity Hall was a great choice. The package I purchased included a security guard, a bartender and 4 servers. The hall comfortably accommodates 100 people, though I only had a little over 50. There is plenty of street parking and parking across the street at Bank of America. I had out of town guests staying near LAX and this was conveniently located about 10 minutes away. Dr. Sota and Helen were easy to work with. My family rented this place out for our family members repass. A funeral is already a difficult time. But this owner did not care. All he saw were dollar signs. Ok. We all know you have to pay for a venue. But to get there and they charge you extra for every little thing. My family was not aware that you can not use their speakers if you hire your own DJ. Or to speak to ur guest on their microphone you have to pay $45. My family ended up paying an extra $250. And we're only there for 3/4 hours. The tables were not set when our family arrived. The people did not serve the food. The help was slow moving. It was an all around terrible experience. The owner, to my knowledge is some kind of Dr. His name is Sota Omoigui. And just a money hungry person. So absolutely NOT we will not be using this place again. Nor do we recommend it. read more

1/28/2023 This place will scam you be careful I will not recommend celebrating here. We had our son baby shower her and they have plumbing issues and now trying to make us pay for a clogged toilet with out showing what was pull out of the toilet wow unbelievable just took $150 of our deposit didn't even show us the plumber invoice. Please don't waste your time or money dealing with them he is into scamming folks. I highly not recommend, my aunt tried to warn us but wife already gave deposit lesson learned smdh. read more

Had my baby shower here on Oct 29th and it was also a gender reveal to me! Finding a location that was not only open on Sundays and I could bring my own food was no short task! They were lovely here and everything ran smoothly with my dream team. Recommend this location for really any event! Had to give at least one star in order to write the review, otherwise... I am a performer and administrator with an organization that held a fundraising event at the Celebrity Hall (CH) on Saturday, December 5, 2015. I was made aware that the interior of the venue would not be available to ANYONE until 5:00pm. Wasn't certain how that would play out since I was sure that "I" would be needing to use the restroom between my arrival and 5:00pm. Had to make a couple of trips to McDonald's a block away. Then once the venue was "opened", the performers were still closed out from entering at the rear of the facility (where performers were housed in tents) to access the restrooms. Performers had to travel through the parking area to the front of the venue then back through the venue to gain access to the restroom. Not professional nor accommodating. Secondly, a member of the CH staff exhibited unprofessional behavior by dancing about before, during, and after the event; videotaping himself; all to the point of annoying the event guests. My organization is all inclusively staffed with not only performers, administrators, and production team, but a security team as well. The security team is on hand to secure the event, performers, and deter any maladies. Our security was not allowed in the interior of the venue. The (venue) security that was present was only there in respect to the security of the venue itself. Considering that, event guests were allowed to walk off with toys that were "donated" as admittance to the event. Lastly, as an administration member of my organization, I was made aware of the last minute non-contractual adjustments; that we were forced to contend with since it was too late to cancel the event, and being that we wanted to continue with this FUNDRAISING event... there were charity organizations with which we made donation commitments. Overall, the entire experience was unfavorable, and professionalism was out the window. The venue may have a revamped appearance, but the proprietorship needs a major business decorum overhaul. I paid for soft drinks for 120 guests and during dinner my guests only had water and lemonade. the person overseeing the event was busy executing contracts for other people. the entrance to my event was the holding space for people wanting to see venue or execute their contracts. NOT OKAY! In addition to only having water to drink towards the end of dinner (the lemonade ran out and person overseeing venue could not make more!), there were roaches LARGE ones crawling in the wall where the food was served and by the front of the venue where we had our photo booth. So my event started at 6, no soft drinks and no bartender until two hours in... the staff are very calm, don't seem to be there to truly oversee the event to ensure all that you pay for is going according to plan. IF you decide to go with this venue make it clear about your expectations because as far as the contract goes, all that is accurate is the amount you pay and NOT the services you will receive as if 9/11/19 I was told I would get a credit for the bartender services. It is appreciated as I paid $480 for soft drinks. I will update if they came through. read more

Dr. Sota has taken this building, once known as the Dynasty, and transformed it into a jewel! I walked in the front door and saw nothing remotely similar to the previous business. The staff: Ms. Helen, Demetri, Marquita, Alyssa, and Maria are wonderful. They kept the trash emptied, bathrooms stocked and cleaned, and were available for anything we may have needed. Although we rented the hall for a repast, the experience was quite refreshing. If you're looking for someplace nice to have your next personal or business affair, this is the place! They have a state of the art sound/ AV SYSTEM, a dance floor, pantry, kitchen, bar area, DJ booth, a dressing room, and plenty of parking! It's centrally located in Inglewood and they're ready to meet all your needs! Tell Dr. Sota Nickie sent you and trust me, you'll get the Red Carpet service!!! read more

Too bad I can't give zero stars. This venue although redesigned from the old Dynasty, no longer has the character that place previously had. The staff was rude and the bar did not have change so many of our customers could not get the overpriced drinks. We were not allowed access to the facility until right at the time the doors were to be opened for our guests and they then delayed our guests entrance, forcing them to stand outside in the cold for an additional 45 minutes. This is the first and last time I visit this so called Celebrity Center. Too bad the owner does not understand the meaning of customer service. This place is a shame to Inglewood. read more

May 27th I had my daughter's champagne party at Celebrity Hall. Everything turned out so beautiful. The staff at the hall are very nice especially Helen.Helen is very attentive she was there the entire time of my party making sure we had everything we needed.Highly recommend this hall for your next event. It is beautiful inside and super clean! The bartender was great, we had full use of the kitchen and when it was time to start cleaning up they had someone there to help with that,forgot the woman's name but she was of great help.Thank you so much Helen you were very pleasant to work with which made it easier for me to make my daughter's day a special event! My wedding reception was held here about 3 years ago. The Hall holds a capacity of 180 people. The owner was nice enough to squeeze in an additional 20 spaces since we weren't going to use the dance floor. You can bring your own food which is a plus they have a nice kitchen in the back and the bathrooms were clean. Now on to why I'm giving this place 3 stars. When I first booked the venue it was warm in there as I was signing the paperwork I made a comment to the owner worried it would be warm for my reception. He told me the AC was off at the moment and assured me that the AC would be on during the event and it would be much cooler.. well not so much.. it was sweaty hot in there and I get it we had an extra 20 bodies in there, but it was just way too warm especially since it was a light party with no dancing of any sort.. it felt like the AC wasn't even on.. a family member asked one of the CH staff members if they could crank up the AC and instead they brought out a large fan.... the fan only hit a small section of the venue and It was overall just very disappointing since that's not what I was promised... also I brought a playlist of 10 classical songs to play as background and the DJ played 1 song on repeat ... we told him there was more songs in the playlist and he let two other songs play and went back to the same first song on repeat.. very frustrating ... Overall it was OK hope they got the AC fixed.. read more

Unfortunately Yelp gives one star, please note I did not. I attended an event two weekends ago and was extremely upset. The DJ was horrible, the DJ played what he wanted to play and did not honor any requests. The wait for drinks was forever, they only had one slow bartender. The equipment was horrible as well, the mic kept going out on the guest of honor. Based on my associate's upscale taste I thought about booking this establishment for an upcoming event, however after what I experienced I will search for another venue. The money my associate spent in my opinion was excessive for this venue and lack of customer service she received. I had my Big 40th Birthday party here last weekend 6/22 and I must say My family friends and I thoroughly enjoyed Ourselves. I mostly communicated with Dr. Sota through email, He answered every question I had in a timely manner and was very courteous. Clean Facility, Pleasant and Professional Staff. The Highlight of our Night was the BARTENDER. I dont Know her name but Babyyyyy When I tell u She knows how to make a GOOD DRANK (Yes I said DRANK) And kept the Partygoers coming Back for More. The is an incredibly clean facility, The hall, kitchen and bathrooms were all remodeled. For the repast after my sister's funeral, I had to find a new location at the last minute after a restaurant double booked. They worked with me and we were able to secure the location with only two days notice. The caterer's had everything ready when we arrived with no mishaps. The staff was awesome. They provided a cleaning crew and security in the cost. We also had access to the audio and video equipment at no added cost which made the repast unique. Dr. Sofa did not hold to they part if the deal.. I was told I would 3 DJs to chose from, I had to call them. I end going up to the venue and they assign one to me who had a limit selection. I asked for 80s, 90s and little hip hop, i received something like salsa music but not really salsa. The bartender was slow as hell, maybe because he had his staff on back all night. This review should be called "A Series of Unfortunate Events." I have personally organized events and performed at many venues, and as far as customer service is concerned, "Dr." Sota and his Celebrity Hall was by far, the worst! The owner and staff were extremely uncooperative and unaccommodating. After the deposit was made, the owner and his staff became increasingly problematic. Our entire performing staff and security were denied access to the venue, and forced to get dressed (hair, makeup, and wardrobe) outside in tents. It was obvious that we were all under scrutiny from start to finish, even as we dressed, the staff/security leered at us, making us feel extremely uncomfortable. The behavior of one Celebrity Hall staffer was so inappropriate, many commented that he acted as if he was on something. He danced, skipped around, and gyrated all night, when he should have been providing customer service. To add insult to injury ... We were having a FREE event, entry with an unwrapped toy to benefit children of deployed veterans, Toys for Tots. Their staff allowed departing guests to take donated toys with them as they left. One of OUR staff had to reclaim toys from the hands of THEIR so called security. This is deplorable! Yes, the building might be remodeled, but it has none of the warmth and charm that it used to hold. Steer clear of this place! read more

DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS VENUE. I had the opportunity to go to the Celebrity Hall in Inglewood because I was attending an event that was being hosted there by an organization that I had followed for the last 6 years. Their events have always been Grade A and extremely well thought out and organized. This event was sure to be a sell out so I wanted to be on time. Well to my surprise, the owner of the establishment had not even allowed the organization IN the venue until the start time of the event. When I arrived, there was a line down the street. I was for sure on time. What was going on? I texted my sister who was in the inside, as she is a member of the organization, and she told me they had not been allowed in until the start time. We could actually hear the sound check being done from outside the venue. Once inside (after a 1 hour wait) I we straight to the bar as I needed a drink bad. My nerves were shot and it was cold. NO CHANGE! How do you run a venue with NO CHANGE? After a 20 minute wait for change, the bartender finally tells me I can pay with my card. "Well, you should have opened with that line sweetie. Here you go." Apparently the owner doesn't trust his own employees, because some lady, I assume was management of some sort, would only bring change for $40 at a time. As we go back to our seats and wait some more for the show to start, some fool starts dancing to the music the DJ was playing. And I mean dancing like he was in a music video. The DJ announced that the young man was in fact an employee of the venue. WHAT??? He is behaving like this at an event PAID FOR BY A CLIENT? Embarrassing and appalling. At the end of the event, we were lead on a "journey" to the food tent, as if we could not be left to our own devices to find it. I have never felt so dehumanized. The kicker was that at the end of the show, the CEO of the organization, graciously thanked Dr. Sota for the use of his venue, and introduced him to the audience. Now that's class. Please do not patronize this venue. The City of Inglewood is really making strides in improving their commerce and this venue is certain to tear down their efforts. I have no doubt that it will be up for sell within the next year. I can't imagine this venue being rented out by any group other than the close personal friends and family of the owner. read more

On May 28, 2016 my sister and I had my dad's birthday party at the Celebrity Hall. We could not have chose a better place. The venue is very nice and clean. The party was awesome because of the amenities the CH have. Helen, Dr. Sota and Demetri were very helpful. My family and friends was impressed with the venue. This place is a HIDDEN GEM. I'm extremely critical when it comes to venues and service. My Brother-n-Law's repast was held at this venue. This venue was very clean and updated. Huge back patio which is great for overflow; you just need to let your guests know that it's back there. The DJ booth was a plus for MC'ing and we were even able to play a slideshow of pictures. The staff could not have been more professional, kind, and accommodating. The staff was great about removing trash from the tables quickly and making sure the trash cans were not overflowing. I appreciated that so much. Check with the venue to verify parking options. As far as I can remember: There was metered street parking which expired around 6 pm (I'm not sure so double check), as well as a large public parking structure right across the street if you don't wish to park on the street.
