We've been to celebrity lanes quite a few times. I did a bowling league here a few years ago, and it was great then. Now though..... The bar service is pretty terrible. We sat down at a table, and it took the server ten minutes to bring us menus, another ten minutes to take our drink orders, and then he disappeared. Just completely disappeared. Even the bartenders didn't know where he went. Then there are the music videos. This should be a family friendly place. Within minutes of arriving, we couldn't help but notice that the only music videos playing were rap and hip hop. I'm talking gangster rap here.. Legit gangsters (crips) had a music video playing with the entire crew flashing their guns at the camera (I was hoping they were going to accidentally shoot one of their homies), flashing their money, and repping their gang with their blue. The other music videos were flat out disgusting. Most of them had women in underwear twerking. One video in particular, while being spank bank material for a Compton/Colfax/Chicago O.G. had a chorus of "Fu** a dude and get some money" no joke...Really? This is acceptable to show at a family friendly bowling alley? Also, they put too much oil on the lanes. We won't go back. read more

Service is horrible. Took half an hour for the waiter to get us water. Took 45 minutes for my group to get nachos. She even forgot to put in an order till we asked her 30 minutes later! Great place to go bowling. Really nice and new facility, awesome service, and the food looks terrific. We bowled there about 2-3 weeks ago and had a fun time. Before leaving, our server told us about the new 'Happy Hour' program which was about to start up. He mentioned that you could pick any of the two items (listed above) for just $5. If one of your choices was bowling, you could bowl UNLIMITED games from 3:30 - 6:30 p.m. Wow, that sounded like a great deal.........NOT SO. Unfortunately, I just called to inquire about the 'Happy Hour' and was told that if you should choose bowling, it is for only one game, not unlimited games as told to us only a few weeks earlier. How disappointing. Apparently the bowling lane has just recently decided to discontinue the unlimited bowling. Bowling is really fun, and a great family activity. Celebrity lanes fits that bill. The trouble is, it's so darn expensive. $35 for one hour on the lane, and $5 for a pair of shoes per person? I understand it's the weekend, but come on. And there are chances to bowl during the week for a LITTLE bit cheaper, but it's still pretty expensive. You know the food isn't all that and a bag of potato chips when you order an appetizer sampler amongst a bunch of friends and you still have left overs. What can I say? The food is bland. The only thing that actually had flavor were the buffalo wings by default because it was smothered with hot sauce. Always have a good time here. Super clean space..they pick your ball for you based on hand size which is nice. One time I forgot socks and they gave me a brand new pair of cotton socks. The food is reasonably priced and tastes pretty good. The bar area is nice and won't break the bank. I went on NYE and they played fun music and had a nice laser tyoe light show. I LOVE Celebrity Lanes! My new husband and I go there on Friday nights. They have a friendly DJ that takes song requests. It's less than $20 per person for all you can bowl and you get a free drink! In a sentence, I would describe this place as overly expensive. $5.00 shoe rentals per person? We played for less than an hour and paid over $30.00 for the two of us. I do like that half of the Alley is dark and the other half is bright. They will wait on you to get you food and drinks and there is an arcade for kids. As an advanced league and tournament bowler in the Denver area I will never bowl in a league at celebrity lanes. I have substituted in league play a few times and the lanes are not well kept. Cliff I believe his name is does a poor job of lane upkeep. While waiting to bowl hanging out eating watching how they oil the lanes, they are were not stripped and we're oiled improperly. Lanes have obvious condition issues and shows. If you don't care about lane condition and just want to bowl for fun perhaps it's an ok place. Staff is friendly for most part. Food is decent but would not say great. I only gave one star for league bowling aspect. Taking that out I would maybe rate a 3. read more

DO NOT FREQUENT THIS ESTABLSHMENT!!!! My family and friends have spent over $400 at this establishment in 2016 alone. We usually bowl Sunday morning for three hours. We just finished bowling and had to cut our games short (after 2 games) as we were interrupted multiple times by the pin mechanic walking down the aisle (we were on lane 40 - last lane next to walkway to the services area). After the third interruption (I was bowling working 4 strikes in the 6th frame) I told the employee "Hey, we are bowling here" to which He sarcastically replied "I know" and casually saunters down the service way to the back of the alley making us wait a full 60 seconds for him to travel the 65 feet. After numerous complaints to the Manager (who would not take responsibility for the encounter) we were refunded the $10 for the last round of bowling that we refused bowl. Business must be pretty good to be able to allow customers to walk away due to lack of common courtesy by employees that should know better, I suggest Arapahoe Lanes 5 minutes west at Dayton and Arapahoe. Terrible service. Will never come back. Nor was fantastic. Brittney and Mike were less than ideal. We spent a significant amount of money at this establishment given we had 11+ people Bowling. Last call was announced, our server Brittney never approached our lanes. When we approached her she said she needed to check with her manager and we were then denied being told that we should seek service at the bar. When we approached the bar the bartender was going to serve until two people spoke with her and we were denied. After speaking with the manger he mentioned that he had concerns about the drink on our tab. I asked what his concern was specifically. The tab he mentioned wasn't our lane. There was no attempt to correct the error. We were also over charged by a lane. The correction was caught by our friends, not the staff, after we had already paid. We will never return to this establishment and also never recommend. In fact, we will continue to speak poorly about the staff and the service. read more

Horrible customer service and long wait times. Several occasions where our lane shut down and had to be reset. Ordered drinks and took forever to come out even when it was not busy. I do understand that this place just opened but that is something you must take into consideration before opening day. Properly train your employees and test all the equipment to insure it does not have any malfunctions for grand opening. This is a bowling alley, the work load is not that difficult. This is not the main reason I am writing this horrible review. The associates were very rude I cant even believe who hired these assholes. When my friend asked if there was a 9lbs ball, the front desk douche bag replied, "why dont you just share? we do not have odd number balls here". I was shocked at the idiots response. We then proceeded back to our lanes to continue bowling and to my surprise, the group next to us had a 9lbs ball. I personally bowl with a 15lbs ball and the dick head at the front desk gave me a rude response about them not having any and that a 14lbs ball was the heaviest they had. Are you kidding me? a bowling lane without any 15lbs or 16lbs balls? Outrageous. I'll start with the Pros: $1.00 games mornings and evenings. Offering affordable bowling is awesome and will bring families in during those times. Second, I like that they offer free shoe rental for children. A third pro is that the facility LOOKS very nice. Now, the Cons. Looks aren't everything, as whoever designed the facility clearly knew nothing about bowling alleys. For starters they have hard floors from the front door, throughout. BIG mistake. It needs to be carpeted, because otherwise people are tracking in snow, water, dirt, pebbles, etc - all the way through which then gets on your bowling shoes and then onto the lanes. This is a big no-no in bowling. #2, they have tables placed so close to the lanes that encourages eating and drinking there (and get in the way during league nights). All food and beverages should be kept on the back counters to avoid a disaster. #3, prices are ridiculous. I would never ever bowl hourly, as their rates are sky high. #4 they don't seem too concerned with customer service. Leagues have inquired why they don't sell pitchers of beer vs selling it by the glass. They don't give an answer, but merely refuse to comply. Personally I wish they'd offer cans and/or bottles - it would prevent much of the spillages when the waitress is carrying an overflowing glass of beer. Last, they don't have a pro shop. I've never been in a bowling alley w/out one?! I feel they have quite a few kinks to work out - the sooner the better for their business. They need to realize that leagues are the bread and butter of the bowling alley - their steady income. Quite a few teams have stated they won't be back in the fall because of the things listed above. By carpeting and offering pitchers may buy Celebrity a 2nd chance with some bowlers though. It really is a nice looking facility with potential - so I hope they take this constructive criticism to heart. It would be a shame to see it go under for such simple, but necessary, fixes. I was just there with my son and here's our take: - Things we liked: - This is probably the nicest bowling alley I've ever seen (and yes, I'm a bowling geek - have been in many bowling alleys around the nation and definitely in Colorado) - Great decor and ambiance - Lane conditions are superb! - Service was superb (unlimited soft drink refills - and they were quick to "fill'er up) - Food was delicious! - Friendly staff - Very nice "party booths" (4 lanes each booth) with Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche themes - I would think this would be great for parties or work 'moral events'. - They have the "state of the art" oil machine for oiling the lanes with any oil imaginable (they can program it by the board). For serious bowlers, this means they can put down some very nice sport oil conditions for sport leagues later! I'm looking forward to this! - The patio is amazing. - This really is a "Wow factor" place to go!! - They have many leagues to choose from, and the prices are right in line with the other bowling alleys around (Brunswick Zone and Arapahoe Bowl). - Fun place. If I had a party or function this would be the first place I'd think of! - Things we didn't like so much: - On the weekends, we were told that we can't purchase single games, all they offer are $29.99 per game. You can't purchase in advance, so we waited until exactly 1 hour to finish (not a minute over) and it took about 5 minutes to settle our tab and wait in the line to pay. Since there's no way to "stop the clock", by the time we got to the cashier they she was about to charge me $34. I asked why it was so much more than the quoted $29.99 and she told me that I was being charged for 70 minutes. It took 5 minutes for the manager to approve and adjust (why don't they just offer 'pay in advance' to avoid issues like this). - Although we have our own shoes, they charge $4 for shoe rental - wow, this would really add up with a family and $29 / per hour lane charges. I surely wouldn't bring my family here routinely! In a nutshell. If you're looking for a cheap place on the weekend to bowl, go to Brunswick Zone Lone Tree (they have .99 bowling Sunday mornings, and the price even during the day is a lot more reasonable). Brunswick Zone is also a very nice place - maybe not as "wow factor" as Celebrity, but it's still a very nice bowling alley. However, if you're looking to impress a date or go here for a special occasion (and don't care so much about the price), this is the place for sure! I'm giving it a 4-star review because really the only drawback is the price - everything else is 5-star+. read more

There were initially a few road bumps to hosting a group event here - misinformation regarding lane reservation fees when I called the week prior, losing my reservation, etc. However, they bent over backwards to make it right. First time going to Celebrity Lanes and it was actually really fun. Personally it's what you make of it, and well I had quite a bit of good people to spend it with. It was a bit weird prepaying the whole entire thing for reserving lanes, just because I wasn't for sure 18 people were going, so if there was at least a certain deposit that you can make first and pay the rest upon arriving that would have been great. Definitely a nice place, really fun. Parking lot is not that big, but I found a spot so it didn't really matter. Kind of hard to find this place, especially with all the construction going on. Give this place a chance, it's definitely got some good stuff going on, and there's always room for improvement. Again, bowling in itself is fun, don't let other things stop you from making the most of bowling. read more

This has to be the worst place ever. We went there and went into the bar area to have a few drinks like we did the weekend before. My wife had ordered a drink that she had ordered the week before and was only 2.99 so my wife asked the waitress if it was still on the happy hour pricing and she said yes. Well it wasn't on the happy hour pricing and when we got our bill we had to pay 30.00 for 4 drinks when we approached the bar manager he pretty much called us liars to our face and said that he does the pricing and that if we wanted to bring back our receipt from last week he would make it right. I do not want to even get into the bowling part because that was a bigger mess than the bar part. So my wife and I took the time out of our day to go back the next day to show the receipt to the bar manager was one of the rudest people that I have ever dealt with. He said that the person that took our order last week ( babe Ruth) was trying to steal from the bowling ally and that he was going to offer us half back on what he owed us witch was only 20.03. This is a beautiful facility! It's really unfortunate that they are having so many service issues. They really need someone to step in and take control. The counter help was completely clueless on how to ring up our group. It took 45 minutes for them to get us setup to start bowling. And, the prices are completely outrageous. Lastly, there is definitely something wrong with their bowling equipment. After the pins are set, about 1/3 of the time, one would randomly fall down on it's own before you had a chance to roll your ball down. On a positive note, the pizza wasn't bad and the waitress was prompt and attentive. But, food service alone is not going to bring me back again.
