Ended up needing Dustin and his team again about 6 months later. Our entire AC unit went out. Just before Christmas our AC unit went out. Now its been cold enough that we were able to make through. Unfortunately leaving the windows open all the time isn't really an option. Additionally, in a tri-level home the temp goes up about 5-7 each level. Late on my review of Dustin/Celie Ac. We actually found Dustin Celie on Placentia Buzz months ago. We noticed after 2 months of higher than normal electric bills, something wasn't right. We called him in the morning and he was at our house later that afternoon. Within an hour-1/2, a couple of parts and reg maintenance, everything was running great. Then just a couple of weeks ago we were getting some wacky thermometer readings even after setting specific degrees, we didn't hesitate to call Dustin Celie. I literally just had Dustin out to look at my AC unit that was not blowing as cold as we were used to. He checked my filter, I had a replacement, and he put that in for me. Then he checked the AC unit on the side of the house, diagnosed the problem within just a few minutes, he was able to fix it up and be on his way quickly. All told, he was at my house for 20 minutes or so and the air conditioning is blasting cold air once again. Home ownership is challenging. It never fails that our air conditioner has issues every summer in the hottest months of the year. On September 4, 2018 our air conditioner stopped working and I called a local company to come fix it. A hard start was added and I was charged $161.10. September 15, 2018 my air conditioner was not working again. 11 days later and the same issue as before. I called said company back and they wanted to charge me a service fee again to come back and charge me for additional repairs. I explained it had been 11 days since they were out for the same issue and the company would not waive the second service charge. As a customer I felt taken advantage of. I started looking around and got a referral for Celie Air and I have been using Dustin ever since. He has always been so honest, fair in his pricing. Dustin came out immediately and properly diagnosed and repaired my air conditioner turns out the hard start that was added and I was charged for was not the issue nor the solution. I have been using Dustin ever since he saved me back in 2018. It never fails annually Dustin is at my home servicing my air condition unit that was pushing 27 years old. Each year Dustin does what he needs to to get me through another year. He answers my calls of desperation each Summer and comes to my rescue. Last year something happened to our thermostat and he even tried to help us troubleshoot it on our own and when we were not able to, his team spent several hours at our home troubleshooting and fixing it. This year as expected our air conditioner stopped working in July after a couple trips out to repair it. Our air conditioner kept going out a few days or a week later. Dustin never charges me multiple service fees, he and his team stay as long as they need to properly diagnose and troubleshoot our air conditioner. It has been so nice trusting someone and not feeling like I have to get multiple estimates or a second opinion. Unfortunately, this year was the year we needed to replace our air conditioning unit. I did not hesitate when Dustin made the suggestion. I knew if Dustin was saying it was time then it was time. Dustin and his team ordered and installed our new unit within a few days. His team was professional, ensuring to cover our floors and stairs, paying attention to details with installation and clean up. I could not be happier. We were at a birthday party and someone there was saying they were replacing their air conditioner and they told me the price was a little more than what we were paying Dustin and when I asked if that was for a five ton unit she said no a three ton unit. Maybe a week after the installation I got a text message from Dustin letting us know he had found out about a rebate that we may qualify for and sent us the information. After being told, I need to replace our air-conditioning unit in the tune of $20,000 ( but it was working) we thought we'd wait it out because the air conditioner was still working fine. I was desperate and jumped on the first company to call me after requesting through Yelp, but they quoted almost $1200 to replace 3 components. I knew the parts don't cost that much and also knew that all 3 parts didn't need to be replaced. I called Celie the next morning, and he came within a few hours. He replaced one component, and I am typing this review from the comfort of my air conditioned house after $180. I have a very old HVAC system, and he doesn't try to get you to buy a new system even though he sells and installs new system. Got a brand new HVAC system from this vendor on Nov 2019, still having issues until now, July 2020. December 2019 can't use the unit since he ordered the wrong part for brand new unit. Took weeks to schedule the install. We were literally left in the cold. April 2020 - new AC unit was blowing out hot air, unit was not charged with the coolant. It's now the end of July 2020 unit started leaking into my bathroom, drain may not be working properly contacted on 7/27 and he's not very responsive for my warranty repair. Finally contacted me on 7/29, he can't commit to a time and schedule for warranty repairs. Now I have to find a new vendor to repair this vendor's mistakes. Go with someone else who can be more committed, reliable and timely with their warranty repairs. I'm regretting using this vendor now. read more
