They came over to our house twice before we left town to learn feeding rituals, discuss expectations, etc. While we were out of town, our Great Dane got overly stressed and got severe diarrhea. When JT left for work on day 3, she pooped in the house approx 6 times and threw up once. Upon watching our ring video camera we saw that she didn't just squat and poop. She paced all over the house for the 5 hours no one was here and poop literally squirted out as she went to sit down, lay down, or as she was moving around. The poop splattered all over the floors, walls, and as well as our couch. DonnaCarol came to feed the dogs dinner in the evening before JT got back from his job and "cleaned" up the poop and throw up. The next day when JT left for his job, I had my neighbor come to let the dogs go potty throughout the time no one was here so that she didn't have more accidents. My neighbor told me there was so much poop dried to the floors that she insisted on taking the swiffer to the floors to get some of it up. While she got some of it off the floors, and got some of the smell out of the house, there was still a lot dried to our floors, walls, and even some furniture. My daughter came home before we did and cleaned a little more poop up and once we got home, it took us 3 hours to fully clean the floors, walls, and furniture. When we confronted them about the mess, we were told it was too difficult to fully clean up and that their priority was the dogs. She then tried to tell me that my neighbor cleaned up and that my daughter was here before we got home as if it was THEIR job to clean up the mess they left. I told her that when paying a sitter to take care of our dogs and home, I expect them to treat it as they would their own. I am so disappointed in their care of our home. And while this isn't a big deal, we also taught them (twice) where our dogs placement is at meal time and left a diagram and they were not fed in the correct spots so our dogs were super confused at meal times, adding to their stress. We also taught them how to empty the roomba (twice) as we have long haired dogs and by the end, we were told the roomba was broken because it wouldn't run anymore. We came home to piles of dog hair everywhere. We got home and my husband said they did not clean any of the hair out of the inside like they were supposed to. My daughter also came home to food crumbs all over our kitchen counters and had to clean them. If you aren't worried about your home being messy when you come back, then by all means, hire these two. If all you care about is your animals being fed and let outside, then these are the two for you.
