A business that is genuinely concerned about a harmed client follows through with voicemail, email, or other methods to ensure communication. You did not. Attempting to present this as a good faith effort is disingenuous. Second, your response is a clear example of victim-blaming. I reported a severe reaction within days of the treatment, including burning, inflammation, and visible skin damage. Instead of acknowledging that failure in care, you are now attempting to invalidate my experience by claiming it is "not medically possible." You do not get to dismiss a documented injury simply because it is inconvenient for your business. Telling a client that they should no longer be experiencing issues--and therefore implying the problem is unrelated or exaggerated--is not only dismissive, it is deeply irresponsible. Skin damage does not always resolve within a standard timeline, especially when a treatment is improperly recommended. Which brings me to another critical point you chose to ignore: your own staff acknowledged that this treatment should not have been recommended for my skin type. Original Review: I had a very traumatic and painful experience at Celine Med Spa and feel it's important to share. In June 2025, I paid $4,000 for a Tixel laser treatment and was also sold a $60 post-treatment serum. Within days, I experienced a severe adverse reaction--my face felt like it was burning and was visibly damaged. I contacted the spa manager at the time, Jane, and instead of being told to come in immediately for evaluation, I was advised to wait and return for my next scheduled session. As my condition worsened, I called back and said I could not continue due to the pain and burning. I was then told I could not receive a refund and was instead offered five facials. When I eventually received my first facial months later, the esthetician (who was wonderful) confirmed what I already feared--that this treatment should not have been recommended for darker skin tones and that my skin had been burned. Despite multiple facials and attempts to let my skin heal, I continue to experience ongoing issues. As one layer heals, new breakouts and damage continue to surface. What's even more frustrating is the complete lack of accountability from management. I repeatedly requested a call from the owner or a senior manager and never received any response. While the staff has been kind and tried to help, there has been no meaningful resolution or follow-up from leadership. It is also concerning that after my injury, the spa removed both the laser treatment and the manager involved, only to later bring laser services back again. This experience reflects negligence in recommending an inappropriate treatment, failure to properly address a serious adverse reaction, and extremely poor customer service. I feel this treatment was pushed without proper consideration, possibly for financial gain, and I was left to deal with the consequences on my own. This review is for the Seal Beach location. Honestly, this is one of the most welcoming and professional teams I've come across in a long time. I went in for a full-face CO2 laser treatment. I'm 51, had lost a little weight, and just wasn't feeling like myself--I wanted something to refresh my skin and give a little tightening. I'm so happy with my results... like truly, it exceeded my expectations. Everyone made me feel really comfortable and explained everything clearly, which I appreciated. What stood out the most though is how caring they are--they actually checked in with me after my treatment to see how I was healing and doing. That meant a lot.
