Went there on a Saturday, well within its stated hours. Door was locked and I could see the light under the door. But the sign on the placard said "Open". I knocked several times but there was no answer (my phone needs repairs, so I couldn't call the phone number listed). Wasted trip. Very basic business tip that shouldn't require stating: Don't have your sign say "Open" if you're not open. **DO NOT USE TECH DOC** Service: -iPhone screen replacement Pro: - 45 min appointment and 30 dollars cheaper than Apple Store (not worth the convenience) Cons: - Did not mention he ONLY had third party replacement parts until I arrived. Even after I asked when scheduling the appointment - Said there would be a theft warning on my phone regardless if it was an apple or third party replacement (Lie-warning went away once I had it fixed at Apple Store) - When returning the phone to me, said it was warm because he had it under a lamp. (Lie-third party screen caused iPhone to overheat which drained my battery. Fixed when I went to Apple Store) - Told me he needed my iPhone pin to conduct repair (Lie-Apple did not need pin to fix screen) - With access to my phone with the pin, I had suspicious logins to multiple accounts over the next week. I had to change passwords to almost all of my profiles/accounts. Less than 24 hours after I sent out a request, my phone was fixed in minutes! Absolutely, awesome!! The suite is located on the third floor in old town near the waterfront. I walked up into the little shop and was greeted by the owner. Small place with a lot of tech tools and electronics. But more than adequate to complete my fix. He immediately took in my phone, and gave me, a 45 minute return time. I stopped to get myself something to eat in the quaint little restaurants in the area, and stop for a Starbucks coffee down the street. by the time I returned a bit more than 35 minutes later, he handed me my phone, I paid, and was on my way, with a fixed phone, after a cracked screen! Whoa...avoid this place! Visited 3 days in a row. First time they couldn't fix it because no screens in stock. OK, I'll give 'em another chance. Next day, they have the parts, purportedly, but the owner/tech doctor (so called) was too busy to come to the shop. Yonathan told the clerk on the phone that if I came today, I'd get a discount. Okay let me say that I gave them a 1 star due to the fact on how nasty they were to me on my recent call. I had my screen replaced by them in March 2019 and he told me that if it cracked again to let them know. Ok, so I dropped my phone and the screen cracked in 4 different spots and when I was there he told me that they can fix my motorola droid. So I called him about how to replace the screen on my droid and he was rude and nasty as hell and told me to go some where else. I then asked him about replacing my screen on the iphone 6 plus and I wanted to know how much is it to replace the screen and he was short on that too. So I will not be going back to them under any circumstances. I should have gone to Ubreakifix instead of some hole in the wall place. You are too small to talk to customers the way you did today. Yonnathan @TechDoc is awesome. I had gone to their place to get my iPhone 6 screen replaced in February 2017. They replaced it in a jiffy but shortly after I started having issues with it and ignored it for almost a month. Today it got so bad that I couldn't even make a call. I called Yonnathan up and he urged me to come in so he could take a look. He took one look at it and said its a defective piece and I'll go ahead and replace it. That's called customer service. Even though I was out of the 14 day warranty period, he realized I was at no fault here (no broken or soaked screen) and this was a manufacturer issue. This is awesome customer service. 10% of your customer base will bring the other 90%. Make sure to keep every customer happy. As a business you don't have to take the "hit" if you were not at fault, but offering a discount or providing service at close to cost can make everyone happy. Awesome job! read more

Place left a very bad taste in my mouth. Their hours of operation listed online are not accurate to when they are actually open. Door locked, but sign out on the sidewalk. Calls/texts go unanswered. Unsat when you drive to old town and pay for parking, then realize it was a waste of time and money. Reviews seemed good for quality of work, but that doesn't help if you cant even get the work done. I've tried now for five days to come in and get my phone screen repaired but they are NEVER open when they say they'll be. I've come in at noon (when they advertise they open), and three times now they've had a sign that says they'll be back later. I've stopped by a ton of other times, and nothing. Came in today with hopes of getting a shattered screen replaced but had an issue with the mic on my iPhone too but unsure if Apple covered it. The tech was more than helpful and didn't try to take advantage instead insisted I check with Apple before having the work done. Turns out the work I needed could be done by Apple for cheaper because of insurance I was unaware of having so I'm having them do the work but really appreciate the honesty and help. If I do have issues with any devices in the future (not covered by insurance) I will definitely come here again and would recommend others to do the same based off my experience. read more

I've had my 6 plus for 3 years and it's been dropped several times, but for some reason the other day, my phone drops and and the screen cracks. I inadvertently squashed my iPhone 6 Plus by leaning on it with my sharp elbow (where it was under a piece of paper). I was visiting from Dallas, walking around old town, when I saw the Tech Doc sign. (*Lightbulb Moment*) Wish I had a before and after picture to measure quality of Tech Doc's mad skills. Total repair time to replace the screen was 20 minutes**. The price of the screen repair was 100% less than it would have cost me in Dallas (which is why I hadn't gotten it fixed sooner). My phone looks like it's brand-new. Retracting my previous glowing review in light of getting home from the place when an hour and my iPhone screen breaking. Had it replaced there after a bad fall. $100 to replace (no prices listed at he store he just threw out a number). Never had one break despite 10 years of iPhone products with multiple falls. Within a few minutes of getting home my dog knocked it off the side table and the screen promptly shattered. Didn't seem like the kind of tumble that should break a screen. Seems like a crappy glass replacement. I called back Tech Docs immediately as they said to call if I had any issues. He refused to replace it free of charge and said, "Perhaps you need a new phone case." I was furious. Of course after my screen broke I wanted a new case but I hoped my replacement would last 24 hours to buy a new one!!! Also now after using it for a day the screen doesn't work very well. I'm not sure if that's because the glass is broken (though not as badly as the first fall) or because of the shoddy replacement. I waited 24 hours before writing this review hoping to have a deal with the guy to replace the screen. Call me crazy but that just seems the right way to do business (especially with a 14 day guarantee that apparently doesn't cover things that break). Going elsewhere now.
