I bought the iMac from the owner and supplied a 2TB SSD for him to re-install the OS on. He did that but the screen was not really re-attached professionally. The system does work so I have one more star but this place was insanely filthy. Yes I was there and yes you remember me. You sold some person more RAM for an old windows laptop that didn't need it; they needed storage bottleneck upgrade like an SSD or a new laptop. I gave two stars since you knew how to re-install iOS and take the screen off an iMac, albeit not exactly putting it back on so professionally. The screen on my pixel 3XL broke and I needed it repaired. I found this guy on Craigslist and he offered to fix the screen for me for $180 including the part. Other places (like uBreakiFix) quoted me $280. I'm trying to save up to buy a home (in the bay area of all places), so I'm trying to be good about sticking to my budget. Decided why the heck not and try this guy out. I picked up my phone in the store. Seemed to be working fine. I did see him use a Sharpie Marker to "color in" parts of the glue he used to put my phone back together. Was alarmed at first, but decided it was not a big deal. When I get home, the mic isn't working. Also, I realize that my speaker sounds muffled/distorted. To be fair with my review, I want to mention that the mic was working when we tried it out in the store. Regardless, I had ZERO issues with my mic before I trusted this guy with my phone. Returned a week later to his store, he argues that it's not his fault. Proceeds with long lecture about how electronics aren't made to last forever. To give him credit, he did offer to honor the 30 day warranty. He wanted to take my phone home overnight, fix it, and for me to leave my passcode with him. I decided it's not worth it. Our phones have way too much personal information on them now. It's just worth it to pay the extra money and get it fixed at a proper store. TLDR; He fixed the broken screen, but also broke the mic and speaker in the process. Put up a huge fight that it wasn't his fault when confronted in person. Will not trust again. read more

Had my phone screen repaired and when I turned it on, the left side of my phone is a dead pixel area. Not only that, it was not sealed properly and had a slight gap brought it to his attention and he told me that when I gave my phone to him, it was already like that. Well I bought it to another repair place they told me that he burnt the left side of my phone and didn't bother to replace the frame he forced open. If I could rate 0 stars, I would. Please avoid this place. The salesman is a scammer. My boyfriend wanted to get a new phone quick since his old one wasn't working. The salesman was kind of rude. However, that's not the end of it. I would have completely avoided this place if I had read the reviews first. So, PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE. The salesman had said that the phone was unlocked. So me being too trusting, I gave him my SIM card to check out if it was true. Bad mistake. All of a sudden my SIM had stopped working. I freaked out. I even started crying. I knew he had swapped out my SIM card but he didn't ever admit it. I quickly then went to my carrier's store and told them about what had happened. My information is safe, fortunately. THE WORST. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY!!!! HE USES CHEAP INFERIOR PARTS!! GUY THAT RUNS THIS PLACE IS DISHONEST AND A CROOK!!! DO NOT TRUST HIM OR BELIEVE ANYTHING HE SAYS!! I needed a screen replaced on my IPhone X and was referred to another place in the same shopping center. But went here by mistake. Wish I never went here. First this store is a complete mess and it is totally unorganized. This should have given me a clue. I really did not care, but it shows what kind of business this guy runs. FYI: This shop is a desk in a water shop down an alley next to Giorgio's Restaurant. I had my screen replaced here and the guy included a screensaver for $10. I left on a trip the following day for two weeks. I had nothing but issues with the touch of the new screen. Sometimes I had to press down super hard to make the screen respond. Other times I barely touched the screen and it will duplicate letters five times. Completely annoying. It would take me 3-4 minutes to write a text that I could usually do in about 30 seconds. When returned from my trip and I went back to the shop. I showed the guy my phone and explained my issue. He told me I dropped my phone and that is why the touch of the screen is off. I did not remember dropping the phone at all, but he insisted I did. He showed me some small scratches on the screen saver and claims that proved that it was dropped. First the screen saver he sold me is so cheap, it scratches super easy. Next, isn't the point of a screen saver to protect the actual screen? After some conversation, he replaced my screen again at a slightly discounted price. When I asked about the touch issue, he insisted it was abuse and not quality of the part. He told me he only used top quality genuine parts. After replacing the screen for the second time, I had the same issue with the touch. I went back and talked to this guy about my repeated problem and he told me to give it a week or so and it'll get better. I knew he was giving me a bunch of crap. He later refused to replace my screen again. He told me "You need to learn how to use an IPhone" Haha! I think I have had about a dozen iPhones since they were first introduced. I took my phone into the Apple store and in about 2 seconds they told me the screen is a super cheap knock off one. The Apple employee told me that cheap knock off screens like the one guy installed costs about 1/4 the amount of the genuine one, and the quality shows that. The Apple guy also said my screen saver is horrible too! Basically this guy is a crook and dishonest. He repeatedly lied to me and uses the cheapest parts available. I ended up spending over $300, and a bunch of frustration for nothing. I would include the name of this place, but I don't think there is one. Save yourself a bunch of frustration and go somewhere else for phone and computer repair. read more

They got my phone fixed but left some broken glass inside, leaving a rattle not a huge issue. But also found out that he charged me an extra ~%20 after hearing my phone is an SE not a 5s, even though they use the exact same screen. Also asked for the pin code for the phone, but after watching him repair my phone, I don't see why he needed it at all. The replacement screen itself is pretty bad, can hardly use the phone at all if the suns out and the any significant pressure anywhere on the screen causes a rainbow of colors throughout the entire screen. I expected low quality parts, since it's my first apple phone. Just know what you need fixed and what you're paying for. read more
