John reached out to me when they begin the work to find out what I used the laptop for so he could make sure include those files were included in the back up. Whatever he did, he backed up everything that needed to be. It could be routine to them, but I was very relieved- I dropped off my pc Tuesday, got it back by Thursday. After I picked it up, I downloaded and set up my various software, Restoring my backups.... And it's like nothing ever happened. Laptop closed, dual monitors on, programs up - Ready For Business. I was fully prepared to junk the laptop and just start 2025 over on a newer laptop. That would have really put me behind schedule. I'm very grateful, these guys really helped me out. And their prices are very reasonable. This business pulled through for me!

I have so many video projects that I'm working on that it was such a bummer when it no longer was readable by my computer. I found Tech Boys Patchogue on Yelp and after reading fab reviews about Rich and his team, I sent them a Request a Quote on Yelp. They got back to my super fast and said to come on it to see what they can do. Well, come on in I did and one day later, it was fixed! I was astonished how fast they got it done. They even transferred all my data to a brand new and more robust drive that I sent over to them via next day Prime shipping on Amazon. The prices were reasonable considering the turn around time and the amount of data (nearly 1TB). I'm super glad that small, independent shops like this are still around! I appreciate you guys very much!

I have known Eric and the guys at Odyssey since they opened. These are great people to do business…read morewith. I have been there many times over the last few years. They have always been friendly, polite, and very professional. They also gave me a lifetime guarantee on any work they did or any phone I bought!!! I don't know any other business that will do that for their customers!!! I have referred at least 10 other people to go there with any cell phone problems, and every one who went there was very happy with their service. It is rare to find this high-quality service and people these days. One personal experience I won't forget was a day I came in with a phone that had suddenly stopped charging. It was a busy afternoon, and Eric looked like he was trying to help a thousand people at once--okay, maybe just six, but still. Phones were ringing, customers had questions, and you could tell the day was hectic. But somehow, he still made time for me like I was the only person in the room. He didn't rush, didn't cut corners--just calmly took care of it and explained everything as he went. He figured out it was just a dirty charging port and fixed it on the spot. No charge, no pressure--just "you're good to go." Honestly, it could've been a chance to sell me something or tack on a service fee, but that's not how they operate. It's the kind of place where you feel like they genuinely want to help, not just make a sale. That's the thing with Odyssey. They're busy, sure, but they never make you feel like a burden. It's rare to walk into a store and feel like someone's actually on your side, but that's how it is here. I don't usually leave reviews, but these guys have earned it. If you need anything phone-related, give them a shot. They've more than earned my business--and my trust.

DO NOT TRUST STREET TALK IN SMITHHAVEN MALL -- Worst Customer Service Experience EVER…read more I had an absolutely appalling experience at Street Talk in Smithhaven Mall. I paid $100 to have my daughter's phone screen replaced, and within just six months, the screen began peeling off at the top. When I returned to the store, they claimed they couldn't locate any record of my purchase conveniently forgetting the service they charged me for. Instead of honoring their repair, they demanded another $70 just to glue the screen down. They said a replacement would be free if the issue recurred within 6 months. Spoiler alert: that was a lie. Two months later, the same issue returned. This time, they did find my record yet refused to stand behind their work and demanded another $100 to replace the screen. Seth, the owner and manager of all Street Talk booths in the mall, flatly refused to help. When I attempted to advocate for myself, he became condescending and dismissive, even insinuating that I "didn't understand English" a deeply disrespectful and racially charged remark, made in front of my child. Security had to intervene (thank you Chris and Joe), and I was told to call mall management, Street Talk USA corporate, and even file a police report. That alone speaks volumes. I returned one last time seeking resolution, and Seth literally told me to go away. I later visited Zaag, another store in the mall, where they immediately diagnosed the issue Street Talk had used excessive glue, causing the screen to lift. Zaag cleaned the mess and replaced the screen without hassle. Professional. Transparent. The total opposite of Street Talk. Seth printed a receipt with fine print about "physical damage" voiding the warranty, yet there was no physical damage whatsoever. Their own system noted I had a 6-month warranty, and this was within two months of the last repair. Street Talk's actions weren't just dishonest they were abusive. Avoid Street Talk at all costs. Between their bait-and-switch pricing, false warranties, rude and prejudiced behavior, and refusal to make things right, this was the most disturbing customer service experience I've ever had. I will never go there again and I strongly urge others not to support a business that operates with such blatant disregard for decency and integrity.
