If i could give 0 stars I would. This scam of a company does not know how to handle phone repairs. I came in for a simple screen replacement and an hour after I got my phone back the battery started to expand and they deemed it unusable unless I wanted to pay for a new battery. Complete sham of a business. I was at the apple store moments before getting my phone repaired for a quote where they ensured me the phone was in great condition other than the screen. Then I came to Cellat where they butchered the job and phone. screen came undone with in the day and my battery ended up swelling so large the screen no longer fit. They refused to work with me, no refund, no discount on a new battery to replace the one they destroyed. They wouldn't even buy the phone off me. I wouldn't be surprised if they swapped my original battery out since it took them three times as long as I was quoted for repair. I beg everyone to just spend the money and get insurance or repair your phone at the apple store because that's where you'll end up anyways. Aside from the awful job the woman working was unknowledgeable and couldn't help me until her coworker who actually had knowledge could come from a different location. When the man arrived to the counter he was unbelievably rude and threatening. He was standing over me and mimicking me laughing at one point. nothing about this place is ethical or worth supporting. read more

The glue they used stinks unbearable very unhealthy worst of all I cannot use the free speaker any more since they changed the screen. We had a very bad experience with CellAt at Westfield Topanga. We have used this kiosk before to repair phones and even an iPad, so we trusted them and came back again. This time there was a different man working there who introduced himself as the owner/manager, which made us feel comfortable leaving the phone with him. We brought an iPhone 13 with a broken display. The screen was black, but the phone itself was still working. It could still be unlocked if you remembered the passcode positions, it connected to CarPlay, and music played through the car. The phone clearly had power and was functioning -- the display was the only issue. He charged us about $125-$130 for the screen replacement and told us to come back in about two hours. When we returned, he showed us the phone with the new screen connected but not yet glued, and it was working. At that moment the phone was clearly powered on and functional. He also mentioned that the battery was heating up and might need replacement in the future, which we already knew, but again, the phone was still working. After that he finished installing the screen and gave the phone back to us. However, once we got to the car, the phone was completely dead -- it would not turn on, would not charge, and showed no signs of life at all. There was no low-battery symbol or any response from the phone. Because it was already late and my husband was sick, we returned the next evening, but the phone was still completely dead and unresponsive. Instead of helping, the man suddenly claimed that we had brought the phone in already dead, which is simply not true. He himself showed us that the phone was working when the new screen was connected before he sealed it. After arguing, he finally refunded the repair fee, but denied any responsibility for the phone becoming completely unusable after his repair. As a result, a phone that was still functioning when we brought it in became a completely dead device after the repair, forcing us to replace it. My husband had to go without a phone for a week and eventually had to buy another one. We trusted this place because we had repaired devices here before, but this experience was extremely disappointing. Please be very careful before leaving your phone here. read more

They opened the phone and showed me the loose screw and then demanded I pay for the repair of the screen when obviously they are the only ones who ever opened that phone. Hasan is the man. The kindest person in this business by far. Apple diagnosed my phone and said they're going to replace my phone. Apple was unable to get my data off the phone or get the phone to boot. Hasan tried to replace my screen and he did manage to get the screen to show that the screen was defective. Also the phone would still refuse to boot. Seems like a it's hardware and software. iPhone 14 Pro Max has a fatal flaw that doesn't allow for updates and just crashes. NEVER take your electronic device here. They'll say whatever they need to say to get you to move forward with their service. I had a crack in the corner of my Apple Watch screen. After reading some of their reviews, I should have just never went here. But anywho - I asked if EVERYTHING would work the way it should if I utilized their service. They said they use 3rd party parts (not Apple), but that everything works exactly the same. First, the rep said they'd take 2 hours to complete the repair. I called 3 hours later. Still wasn't done. They said that my watch was with their other kiosk in the same mall. Since I was still at the mall, I went to the other kiosk and saw a woman working on a phone. I asked her when she was going to start working on my watch because the rep upstairs said that she had already started working on it. The woman said that she hasn't received an Apple Watch from the other kiosk yet. NICE! Love being lied to. I went upstairs back to the original kiosk and asked why would they lie? They pretty much had nothing to say. Not even an apology. Idiots. Next day I pick up my watch and pay nearly $280. My watch was disabled so I couldn't inspect if the watch worked or not. The installation job was pretty shitty. You can tell it's not flush with the existing frame & there was also glue I had to clean off. Better than a cracked screen, at the very least. I get home, wait for the watch to leave disabled-mode. SURPRISE! My touch screen does not work. I go back to the kiosk and the rep says it is the protector I purchased from them. "Don't worry, we won't charge you for it" and removed it. No sh*t you won't charge me for it, genius. Now the touch screen worked. Keep in mind the only reason I got an Apple Watch was to use the fitness apps and also Apple Pay. I don't use it for anything else. SURPRISE! Apple Pay does not work. I called Apple support. After 2 hours of troubleshooting, they confirmed this company damaged a sensor required for Apple Pay since Apple Pay still works on my phone. I got back to the kiosk to ask for my money back since the dweeb that works there promised I would get my money back no matter what. SURPRISE! They won't give me my money back. They said they can put my old screen back, take their screen back and then refund me. I said k, show me my old screen. After digging for 10 minutes (I knew he wouldn't have my old screen. What do you do, collect them for sh*ts & giggles?) he pulled out a smashed screen that was for the bigger, newer Apple Watch. I laughed and said this is clearly not my screen. AGAIN, he didn't know what to say and had the audacity t argue that he didn't have to give me my money back and blah blah blah. He even got the owner on the phone who basically gave me the same bullsh*t response. Here's a tip: If you f*ck up, give the customer their money back so we can both go our separate ways without a headache. We don't have to do this back and forth dance. SCAM ALERT. Never take your phone here. We brought an iPhone in to fix a cracked screen, other than that the phone was working 100% perfectly. The worker named Hoson or Hasan took the phone and replaced the screen for $125. On the way home, we noticed that a Face ID issue was detected WHICH was working perfectly fine before. We literally used Face ID to unlock the phone for the employee. We took the phone back to CELLAT to ask him to fix the issue. He put the original cracked screen back on the iPhone and gave the refund for $125 (the cost of the service), so we headed to Apple to figure out what happened. After running several diagnostic tests and exams, the Apple technician told us that the CELLAT employee damaged the TrueDepth camera when the screen was replaced and the cost to fix the camera and screen would be $500. (We are sure it was the employee since the phone was working perfectly before and right after he replaced it, there was an immediate error message when we turned the phone back on.) We took the phone back to CELLAT to tell them that their employee damaged the camera and the manager and his employees refused to offer any solution or refund for the damage they did. Hasan/Hoson and another female worker were laughing at my younger brother and sister who brought the phone in. My siblings were visibly upset and shocked by their blatant rudeness and at the way the CELLAT was gaslighting us. Even if they were not going to give us any solution, the fact that they were laughing and taunting us was ridiculous and extremely unprofessional and was making us more upset. Not once did the manager offer to come in and take a look at the issue, he simply hung up on the call when we pushed for some sort of solution to the issue. We are shocked that we were treated this way. After reading other Yelp reviews for this location and other locations, it's clear this scamming happens often. Somebody needs to escalate this to authorities so this company can stop scamming other customers. read more

I brought my phone here to get the phone back replaced. My phone was working perfectly fine and I was just looking to get it fixed cosmetically. I dropped my phone off for an hour and a half. I came back to the guy telling me that the part he put on my phone is defective and he has to switch it back. The back of my iPhone was cracked so I brought it to them to fix less than three days later after taking my phone case off, I saw that the back of my phone is shattered again. Not mention that there's this terrible smell of my phone now. What are the odds that this happens? I took it back to them to see what they can do, and they insisted that this was not their fault, and there was nothing they can do other than charge me to fix it again.
