Dirty, dusty, and scummy. Toilet paper just sitting on the back or the toilet for everyone's hands to touch. Cheapest hand soap I've ever used. It's so watered down it squirts right at you. It probably doesn't have any antibacterial properties. Techs are rude and not professional. The man working on my nails was in the middle of buffing one hand and got up without saying a word, grabbed his stuff, and moved two seats over to start working a woman who just walked in. And just left me sitting there, waiting, without knowing what was going on. They eventually moved me to someone else but it was bizarre. Every tool has been heavily used. I didn't like that bait and switch. It should have been communicated that Karen wasn't available. I was very uncomfortable during the 11/2 hr pedicure. The way it's set up just is odd. The bowl kept slipping so I was trying to hold it so it didn't slip which hurt my legs. The opposite of what a relaxing spa experience should have been. I had two toe nails that were broke so to keep my nails even she left them completely uneven. No communication at all. She should have said since your 2 nails broke do you want me to cut the others down to make these 2 straight or keep them long and these 2 will be crooked. But she didn't speak at all. At all. I asked her to do a 3rd coat since it was streaky. She needed it to dry before putting on a topcoat. At that time my pedicure was over 90 mins already and I had an appt after my services, so I suggested that we start my manicure and then put the top coat on after my manicure. She said no she couldn't do that. No discussion just no. So I skipped the top coat. Definitely just get cozy not cozier or coziest. The towel was cold in a few minutes but she was gone for the 5 mins it was on and the massage was too soft. I decided to just get a cozy manicure. My manicure turned out ok but no scrub nolotion at all. That just seems weird. I was there for 2 1/2 hrs but would have been there for 3 if I didn't downgrade. All for an uncomfortable, subpar service. Not again. Oh and it was Valentine's Day week and not one person came in or called the entire time I was there. Odd. Or maybe not so odd after my experience.

In any case, I was a few doors down at The Gents Place getting my own services done and Bliss was closing so one of my sisters came by and got my card and paid. Later on I realized that the discount had not been honored, but they seemed happy with their nails, and it was after hours anyway. The following week, my sister's gel nails, which had been sold to her as "good for 3 weeks" ended up coming off a week later (photo shown below). I was slightly irritated at this point, but was still traveling (this time with my brothers-in-law). After that trip I called and explained the situation to someone named Michelle who said that she would pass my thoughts up the ladder. I was seeking an adjustment of the original gel cost, then on that new price, the original 10% discount. Michelle's tone when taking the message very much conveyed "yeah right" but I left it with her. A week later, no response, I called back and got someone else who told me that someone would call. A couple days later someone did and I explained the situation to him, telling him that a discounted "re-do" of my sister's nails wouldn't help, as she lives in Topeka, not Bentonville. He said he would pass it up to management for me to get a call back. That never happened. So, I'm officially giving up and letting you all know. You can see on the receipt yourself that on a spend of $229.08 I was asking for an adjustment of around $40.00. I had to call 3 times just to be effectively ignored. I wasn't asking for much, just a reduction of the inferior nail treatment (not as delivered) and the 10% discount (not a lot, though I felt strongly that it should be honored given the poor quality of the treatment). As a fellow business owner I find this request not unreasonable and I think I have patiently tried to resolve this through ordinary means.

Later, when I called for clarification, I was told the price difference was actually because the online prices haven't been updated -- which directly contradicts what I was told in the salon. During the service, I also had to ask the technician multiple times to file underneath my nails. My natural nails are yellow, broken, and in poor condition, and I specifically asked for them to be cleaned properly. The technician became visibly annoyed, sighed, rushed the service, and still did not do it correctly. I left feeling uncomfortable and unhappy with both the service and the lack of transparency. I've attached photos so others can see the condition my nails were left in. Between the unprofessional attitude, inconsistent pricing, and poor communication, I won't be returning.

I specifically said that I know bangs are tricky and that if the stylist was not comfortable, I did not want her to do them. She assured me she could. She could not. She cut my bangs far too thick and far too wide--essentially from ear to ear--and then, in what felt like a panic, over-thinned them trying to fix it. The result is uneven, stringy, misaligned sections with different lengths, and hair that now starts much farther back on my head than it ever should. This is not a minor mistake--it fundamentally altered the structure of my haircut in a way that cannot be quickly corrected. To make matters worse, she was late to my appointment, and there was no acknowledgment or remedy offered for that. The lack of professionalism continued when I raised concerns. I was told, "it's not a big deal, it will grow," which is incredibly dismissive considering I have multiple family events and travel coming up, including a professional photoshoot. When I spoke to the owner, the response was, "what do you want me to do about it?" There was no accountability, no attempt to meaningfully fix the situation, and no care for how this impacts me beyond the salon chair. While I was not charged for the haircut itself, I still paid $80 for color--and that is the least of what this has cost me. This experience has cost me confidence, comfort, and peace of mind during important family moments that I cannot redo. This was never about saving $20 on a haircut. I paid far more than that in the aftermath of this experience. Mistakes can happen. But poor skill combined with dismissiveness, lack of accountability, and unprofessional handling is unacceptable.
