The good: He did ask for a deposit and the total cost was very reasonable. His attitude was friendly and professional The front area was clean and neat. Had an awful experience with this place and will never go back. We had an iphone with a bad…read morebattery, and brought it in for the battery to be replaced. Joei had told us that to replace the battery, he would have to remove the screen and it would potentially break. He ended up charging $270 for this battery swap because he needed to change the screen too being it broke. His repairs to the screen, which never had an issue initially, broke on the first day we got it back. Went back to adress this issue and was just told how it was our fault that it broke and how it has nothing to do with the quality of his work. He proceeded to walk away from his booth with the phone without communicating what he was doing. Told security and they said "ohh he should be back" and walked away. He finally came back with a new screen to put on the phone. Once he had the phone repaired, he held onto it for awhile rather than giving our phone back to me, so he could ask me personal questions about my relationship and intimate life. The whole situation felt very creepy and left me never wanting to enter the mall again.

Even though it was a bit of a drive and a super hot day, I made the trip--and I'm really glad I did. I dropped off my phone, went down the street to wash my car and get a haircut, and by the time I got back--less than an hour later--it was done! Not only did they replace the screen quickly, but they also went the extra mile and cleaned out the charging port and speakers. Super fast, very friendly, and great service overall. Girl with pokemon nails barely looked at my phone, just gave me her tablet and made me fill out the online Assurant insurance form. I did so and towards the end it showed a balance of ~$100 if i got approved. Got the email today of the approval but it says phone upgrade, I did not want an upgrade I just wanted an equal replacement. The link on the email i got didnt even work, so i headed over to the California branch and doors were locked past 11am, sat in my car for a bit to see if they would open it but they didn't so I went to the location on Ming. I was unable to reverse the Upgraded insurance claim, and I had to pay the ~$100 difference. The girl at the California location did not inform me about anything, did not look at my phone at all, just gave me a form I could've done at home with the WRONG information. Incredibly frustrated. Wasted my time and the other t-mobile representative who used his personal phone to let me call Assurant to figure out what the hell I signed up for and what kind of "upgrade" I got, which seems to be just the exact same phone I'm trying to replace. It's obvious this locations workers don't care at all.
