Do not come to this place if you expect good communication or honest timelines. I dropped off my iPhone on May 28 and was told the repair would take about a week. After a week passed, I called for an update and was told my phone had been sent to a different location without anyone ever informing me beforehand. I was then told my phone would be done on Monday and that I would receive a call. No one called. When I followed up, I kept getting told it would be done "soon" even though I had already been told it would be finished. After almost 2 weeks of waiting, my phone was still not repaired. When I asked for my phone back, I was told someone had to go pick it up from the other location. I waited for hours at the shop and still did not get my phone. I stayed until closing time and was told the person with my phone was not answering. The biggest problem was the lack of communication. If the repair was beyond what they could handle, I wish they would have told me from the beginning so I could have taken it somewhere else instead of wasting weeks waiting. To make things even stranger, after I left my review, I received a message offering to pay for a new phone if I removed the review. I will be posting the screenshot so people can make their own decision. My experience was almost 2 weeks of delays, missed callbacks, changing timelines, poor communication, and a phone that was never repaired. read more

Came in on June 18th evening around 6:45pm to CellSpot about an iPhone 6 issue I think they close at 7pm. It was stuck at the Apple logo screen for a brief second and then reboots while connected with the charger. I told them about what I was experiencing when trying to turn it on and let them know it's one of my back up phones so it's not urgent and I was okay with them taking their time to find out the solution if it was a battery issue, logic board issue, or software issue. I did go to another phone repair shop at Cypress before and they weren't able to resolve the issue, after checking the battery and diagnosing it, so I thought I give it another try at another local repair shop here at CellSpot in Anaheim. The next evening (June 19th) I checked with them to see what the status was and if they were able to diagnose it. They let me know the progress and status. Although it wasn't quite finished I respected their follow up response and customer service. They let me know after testing the phone on another battery it was still giving issues so they asked permission if I'm okay if the possibility of loosing the data for them to try and reset the firmware/OS, since the volume/power button method didn't work. I was totally fine with it since it was one of my back ups. The next morning (11am) on June 20th they let me know it was resolved, and ready for pick up. The issue wasn't the battery or logic board, it was the software/OS and they were able to reset/reinstall the OS and got it back up and running. My total experience calling in advanced for the quote/service, walking in the store, following up, and final day to pick up the device was overall pretty good. It was busy when I came and when I returned to pick up the device so I know patience was key. The ladies I spoke with on the phone and met in person to drop off the phone and pick it up were good! I needed a phone case for my work phone which was an iPhone 6 Plus. I know it's old, but I asked if they have one and reply to me that they do have some and that I should come by. I get there and there was no one in the store I thought maybe they're closing, but no the workers were in the back laughing and talking the whole time. They had a special tool for Google Pixels which other shops didn't have. Those shops warned me that they might break my screen in the process of replace the battery and that I would have to pay for a new screen too, if they broke it. That just sounded ridiculous to me. Erica and the other lady I didn't catch the name of were both super friendly and really accommodating. They were swamped but still managed to fix my phone the same day, way quicker than other places were quoting. I dropped off my phone and within an hour or two they had it all fixed perfectly. And as I was walking out, they let me know that there's a warranty on the battery for 6 months if anything were to happen to it as well. I can't recommend them enough after having dealt with other phone repair stores in the past. Update to my original review I took the phone into a Verizon store that does Service as the phone was failing the battery was no longer holding a charge again and the screen was glitching out horribly I asked the service persons to look at the phone to determine if the parts that were in it based on the previous repair or in fact original after they open the phone up they did in fact determine that the parts were not original they were Chinese knockoffs at this point I was totally over this and traded in the phone for a new one what a horrible experience for anybody to go through when you trust a place to do the right thing and they kill that trust still would not recommend going here read more

I came here for a battery replacement about 6-8 months back for my mom's phone. Initially, I thought it was an okay store with fair prices. When I brought it in, they told me it would take about an hour to do. I thought that seemed excessive, but okay. I came back an hour later and it still wasn't ready. I soon realized why. The woman fixing the phones would often stop and come to help out other customers that came in, taking a look at their phones, sometimes taking them apart right then and there. This was an issue because there was another staff member there that could've taken care of their front counter duties. She seemed to only be fixing their displays of cases and cleaning counters. They charged me $40 for the replacement, which seemed great, as other businesses I'd was fair. Fast forward to now, I now know that it wasn't a brand new battery that they replaced the old one with. My mom's replacement lasted about 6-8 months, when it started shutting off randomly. We took it somewhere else, who told us the battery definitely wasn't brand new at the time. That person also told us that CellSpot had "conveniently" left out a critical covering plate inside. He told us that this plate was extremely important, as it covers a bunch of tiny components. If the phone is dropped without this plate being there, those tiny components often break or fall out of place, requiring more service. He mentioned that this was a common practice by shady cell repair stores to ensure repeat business. This is absolutely deplorable, but definitely not surprising based solely on the customer service from CellSpot. Don't let their cheap prices fool you into thinking they're an honest business. They have cheap prices because they rely on you coming back for more service once their original service fails. read more

I paid the deposit. They called me to bring the phone in as soon as the parts arrived. We brought the phone in & it was fixed in 2 hours. The phone worked great for a few weeks. My wife's phone started to go bad again. The touch screen spot working. I brought it back in. This time, they had to keep the phone for warranty reason. They fixed the phone after 2 days. They even gave us a screen protector for the phone for the inconvenience. I give this place 4 1/2 stars because I had to take the phone in for the second time. We came here for a repair on our PlayStation 5's hdmi port and cracked iPad Air screen. We chose this place after calling a bunch of places including ubreakifixit and GameStop and this place had the best price. After calling them, they were also very nice on the phone and kind in person as well. They were able to fix both after a couple days. We brought it in Monday morning and picked it up Wednesday afternoon. We just picked it up today and they both work as if nothing happened ! Also, they have a 6month warranty.
