We have been happy in the past with this store and especially with Gracie Bailey - the store manager. Today, 10/15/11, we had a very unpleasant experience. We waited for 45 minutes to get service and the store was not crowded. We wanted to upgrade one of our phones to 4G but didn't get the information we needed about the cost and the advantages. How can you allow us to sit there waiting for service while we did not get our task accomplished? This is unacceptable. There wasn't an effort to even acknowledge the issue. read more

This store is the worst!! Just went there for a SIM card to use a different phone because they can't seem to help me fix my current phone and they didn't help at all! He actually told me that he didn't know what to tell me! He also told me that the phone I wanted a new sim for would not work on their network which is wrong! I'll try to start out by saying something nice: If you're just looking for a really polite sales staff that will give you good customer service as long as it is required to close the sale and you don't care how much you pay for what you get, this would be a good place to go. However, I advise you to avoid this store like the plague if either of the following are important to you: a) the sales representative tells the truth b) the sales staff will do anything to address an issue with your account after the sale has been closed Here's what I have gone through with this store: I am a Verizon customer on a corporate discount plan. When I went to this store, I asked repeatedly if I could upgrade my phone with no impact to my monthly bill and the salesperson repeatedly assured me there would be no impact. I also asked to apply my corporate discount to a phone case that I bought at the time of sale and he said that would be no problem. None of this was given to me in writing and I have since learned that this is one of those businesses where nothing that anyone says should be accepted unless it is given in writing. I was told my receipt and customer agreement would be emailed to me. I never received a customer agreement from the store; when I received terms and conditions directly from Verizon I found that my monthly rate had increased approx. 10%. I did receive the receipt by e-mail and found that I had been overcharged by approx. 10% on the accessory purchase; a discount had been applied, but it was a lower discount than the one I receive through my corporate plan. My take on what happened was that the salesperson didn't know the terms of my corporate plan (which is understandable), didn't do anything to try to find out about them (which I do not consider acceptable), said whatever was necessary to close the sale (regardless of whether or not it was true), and purposely chose not to provide any details in writing at the time of sale so that by the time the true price of the plan and accessories was known, the contract would be in force and it would not be easy to unwind. I would even go so far to say that this sales staff has probably determined just how much they can abuse a customer (we're talking a few dollars on an accessory purchase and a few dollars a month on a data plan) before they are upset enough to try to unwind the contract they signed (this is not worth going to court; maybe only a complaint to the Michigan Attorney General's office for whatever good that might do). Since then I have had no response to any of my attempts to contact the salesperson regarding the rate increase that he assured me would not happen at the time of sale. I have since learned that this rate increase is likely out of his control and there's nothing he can do about it. OK...but at least have the decency to reply and say so (not as good as trying to find the answer at the point of sale and telling the truth - even if it means there is a non-zero chance that the customer will walk because there will be a small increase in their monthly rate - but still much better than nothing). From the other reviews I have read, this seems to be the modus operandi at this store. I will pay them another visit in person before all is said and done; it will be interesting to see how they respond when the customer is in the store and is not so easily ignored. Part of the issue on my part is that I misunderstood the definition of a Verizon "Premier Retailer" . I assumed (incorrectly) it would have something to do with customer service. Apparently not; I have had issues with Verizon over my last 12 years with them, but every time one arose I was able to find someone at a Verizon store who was at least willing to confront the issue and give me an answer to my question (even if it wasn't pleasant). I think all "Premier Retailer" means is that they sell lots of phones and contracts. That is true; they sold one to me. I guarantee it will not happen again.
