They sent Travis out promptly, who is their electrician where he found that the issue was resolved by replacing a faulty 40-amp breaker that was intermittently providing the necessary voltage, even though measurements initially appear correct. While the breaker issue caused real inconvenience and unexpected costs on my end, the owner was responsive and showed willingness to smooth things over to work toward a resolution. I also want to highlight that the panel upgrade and solar/battery installation itself was clean and well done. The workmanship that Eddie, Manny, Christian and Jamie performed had overall met my expectations, and once the issue was identified, Sunline did step in to correct it. No project is perfect, but how a company responds when problems arise matters a lot. In this case, Sunline's owner and Eric was engaged, responsive, and made a sincere effort to make things right. As an engineer, and after witnessing the symptoms and corrective actions firsthand, I believe the breaker issue was likely a manufacturing defect, and it was unfortunate that it occurred during the holidays. That said, based on how Sunline handled the situation, the overall quality of their work, and the value they offer, I would recommend them and plan to continue using them for future needs.

As I continued to shop around, I realized the customer service, follow-ups and my many questions put this company at the top. I signed and they gave me an approximate timeline. It was seamless and "almost" right on the projected time frames. Through the process they kept me up to date and were available for a few questions I had along the way. The installation crew came out and they were EVEN better than the customer service and sales rep. Eduardo Naranjo needs a promotion and a raise. The man was so humble, genuine and all around a great guy. He dealt with my kids and many dogs with no fear lol. He was professional and kept me apprised of everything the crew was doing. At then end of the installation I was sad to see the man and his team go because they were so personable and efficient. The install of my panels and batteries looks way way better than I could have imagined. I already had existing solar that I liked. But this new system blows it out the water. Anyway. From the beginning, I was extremely clear that I would only proceed if the rebate covered the full project cost and that I would not pay any non-refundable deposit. Their representative repeatedly assured me in writing that there were "no upfront fees or deposit required" and agreed to prepare contingency language allowing me to cancel without penalty if the funding was insufficient. After months of follow-ups, delays, and waiting for management to finalize the paperwork, I was suddenly informed that the company had implemented a "new process" requiring a non-refundable $1,000 payment before they would process the application, engineering review, or other preliminary work.

Cosmic installed our solar system back in 2014, and we have never had any problems with it. Over…read morethe years, our 30 yo roof began giving us problems, and we didn't want anyone else to remove our solar panels, so called on Pey and Cosmic to come out and take a look at it. He explained what they could do to fix and update it, gave us a quick turnaround on a quote, and we were sold. The team came out and removed the panels, did a lift and relay on the roofing, replaced the felt underlayment and rake and ridge tiles, and added O'Hagin vents. The roof looks like a new roof and we couldn't be happier. The Cosmic office kept us updated throughout the process. Absolutely do not use this company!…read more I signed a contract with Cosmic Solar & Roofing to install Solar Panels on a ADU we are building. I gave an initial deposit and was told the next step would be to pull permits. What actually happened next was they came onto my property and installed solar panels on the ADU without ever contacting me, making an appointment, or getting any kind of approval. They never spoke to me once -- they just showed up and did the entire installation without my knowledge. It wasn't until they contacted me demanding full payment that we realized they had installed the Solar Panels. ( again this is on an ADU so I never even knew someone was on the property working) They have now demanded full payment and have filed a mechanic's lien against my home even though the system is not operational and the permit has not been signed off. I made numerous calls and emails to Pey and the owner Bahram Shadzi and did not receive any response. This behavior is outrageous. I have now filed a complaint with the Contractors State License Board. Stay far away from Cosmic Solar & Roofing.

Our single family home in Carlsbad was in need of a new roof and we decided it was time to get modern with solar and some window & door replacements. Through our bidding process, RC Energy came out the lowest and Justin was cordial and honest about the entire process and costs upfront. We knew this was going to be a big project and Justin explained the entire process. Our work included: full re-roof (tear-off, new underlayment, new concrete tiles, wood repair, full fascia board replacement & painting, 18 PV solar panel array + electrical/RMA, new sliding glass door, three kitchen windows and two new solar-powered skylights in our living room. There was a big chunk of extra cost for roof wood repairs we knew was coming (dry rot and previous termite damage to sheathing & rafter tails) but the costs were understandable given the hours of extra labor, and the quality of carpentry work spearheaded by Ivan was exceptional. Nice windows and doors from Amerimax combined with the new roof tiles and fascia has really given our home a modernized curb appeal and the new skylights have changed the entire feel of our dark living room. Solar went live in May/June and boy is it nice to see our bills reduced next to nothing, especially with our EV charging and AC unit. Justin's communication was great, keeping us updated in advance of each major step in the project. Total project work time was 2/3 weeks and we are more than satisfied with the outcome.
