Italian margarita is a must. Sounds crazy but give it a try - you will not be disappointed! Service is phenomenal. From the friendly host who seated us with a big smile to our phenomenal waiter Sarah who was delightful and despite a full house that night, made us feel like we were the only people in the house. To their credit, the salmon was removed from the bill and an alternative dish was offered. However, the overall experience still fell far short of what should be expected at this price point and reputation level. What disappointed me most was not simply the food itself, but the complete lack of genuine hospitality and ownership from management. Strong restaurants understand that service recovery matters just as much as the meal. There's a reason establishments like The Capital Grille or Flagler Steakhouse have earned reputations for professionalism and customer care. We ended up sitting at a high top and our waitress suggested that I try either carne asada from the Mexican menu or Vaca Frita from the Cuban menu. I love me some carne asada but I was intrigued but this 'fried shredded beef' that was marinated in mole and cooked in a hot skillet until crispy. She suggested sweet plantains to go with it and white rice with beans which is traditional Cuban (instead of yellow rice). IT WAS FABULOUS! It was crispy on the outside and juicy. The mole was flavorful but not spicy and i appreciated that the meat was not dripping in sauce. My dinner date ordered chicken tamales which were seasoned in a Cuban style with yellow rice. She is used to Mexican tamales but said these really hit the spot! The only blemish on the nice was her second margarita which was the cucumber one which she didn't like at all. However, the first one she ordered (pictured) which was a different flavor was a show stopper.

We had a very long table and the servers were great in getting our orders. I ordered the Horchata in the lunch special, Lechon asado. The Horchata was delicious and not too sweet, which was great. I really liked my lechon asado. It was a good portion but the one thing is my plantains were pretty burned. I also got to try some of my mom's tacos. And those were yummy as well. Would come back!

Good vibes and atmosphere. We ordered a couple margaritas - which were VERY good. Then 4:00 rolled around... and it was happy hour! We didn't know that their happy hour was DAILY. So that was a nice surprise! Then the people started flooding the place! Glad we got there early haha The margaritas.... wow. We tried a few different ones and they were all so amazing! The most unexpected and unique one was the spicy avocado one - don't knock it, till you try it! Made with fresh avocados, it was like a delicious tequila smoothie almost. SO good. I also tried the Guava Habanero (available for happy hour), delicious! My husband ordered a few spicy margaritas to his taste, they can make them as spicy as you'd like! Food - we ordered the smoked spanish octopus (not happy hour). This was VERY good. The octopus was cooked perfectly and had great flavor! Then from the happy hour menu, we got a chicken quesadilla and a carnitas taco. Both yummy! Really enjoyed the quesadilla! I hadn't been in here a very long time (since when they first opened) so we had a great time and definitely will be coming back for happy hour again. It's a GREAT HH!
