This is a very nice place for breakfast (i have only had breakfast here, but as you can see they serve lunch and dinner too). We chose it for its friendliness to dogs.. be sure to look for the "Bow wow & Doggie Bites" section of the menu. I did not order them, but the pancakes and waffles are the thing to order here for breakfast. I do remember having an amazing pumpkin pancake one year from here. They have breakfast specials so be sure to ask. I had a 3 egg Florentine omelette that was very filled with ingredients.. almost too filled, the egg layer was very thin (honestly i don't understand how it can be 3 eggs). Next time I would not choose an omelette for that reason. Everyone else enjoyed their meals and everything was made as ordered. I ordered Gluten free toast, it was $2 extra (which I will never understand), but it was very good. We had a good lunch here. And yes, there actually is a Gabriel! It wasn't very busy when we stopped by. We chose to dine inside, but they have a nice patio area that is popular. We both decided to have salads. I had the Gabriel salad with chicken, cranberries, and pecans among other things. I liked that the lettuces were a mix of romaine and iceberg. No frisée or yard plants here, thank goodness. I got their blue cheese dressing that was rich and chunky. The salad was large and very good. This is a luncheonette/diner style place. Casual but comfortable. They had a good breakfast menu as well as an extensive lunch one. And we also had very good service from Laurie (sp?). I LOVE a good family owned and operated local spot and this one checks all the boxes. Absolute gold. GREAT menu, food, atmosphere, service, etc. etc. The blueberry pancakes are fluffy like clouds and the corned beef hash is superb. Shredded hashbrowns are my kryptonite and they make them just how I love them - shredded and cooked to a golden-brown, crispy perfection. So many options and very reasonably priced. 3.8 for this restaurant is not indicative! Party of 4 on a Sunday @ noon arrived & were seated in less than 15 minutes. That simply does not happen at most breakfast spots. The inside is very cozy, with a Southern grandma vibe. All of the servers were kind, friendly, and attentive. I personally had: vanilla dream latte, salmon cake, French toast, and mixed fruit. What I loved most about Gabriel's is I just told the waitress what I wanted & she made the meal out of it. As someone who doesn't like eggs or grits or home fries, this is very rare for me at a breakfast place. They always try to force me to do a combo with eggs & sausage or something. Not here! I didn't get any pictures of the food but everything was delicious. And I can always tell if there's too much egg on a piece of French toast. No issues with the food at Gabriel's. Had an horrible experience. First the eggs were cold. But more importantly - I found a long black/brown hair inside my home fries. And yes, I pulled it out of my mouth. I told the waitress and she was shocked and totally dismissed my claim and stated she had no idea where it came from. She advised that everyone in the kitchen was wearing a hair net and had short hair. We told her that it didn't matter, it absolutely could have come from her, or someone else handling the food. Oh how thankful am I to be introduced to Gabriel's!!! We had a breakfast meeting at Gabriel's on a Thursday morning and the coffee seemed to arrive on the table before we even sat down! Cara was such a great waitress and routinely made sure we were satisfied. I ordered the Florentine omelette, fitting to the European-looking atmosphere of the restaurant. I had found this place by accident while looking around on Google Earth. I read the reviews and checked out the pictures and prepared myself to come this morning for what I expected would be a very good breakfast. They open at 7 am on Sundays and I was there at 10 past 7. Only one other couple was eating, so I pretty much had the whole place to myself. The waitress was very nice and even though she gave me a menu I already knew ahead of time what I was going to have. I ordered a ham and American cheese omelette with extra American cheese, some home fries and a buttered English muffin. The muffin and potatoes were excellent, but that's where it ends. Some off tasting yellow cheese and some stringy white cheese were in my omelette, neither of which were asked for or expected. I prefer to avoid confrontation so I simply asked for the check, but the waitress did ask about my barely touched omelette. I explained the issues I was having and she did admit she put in the wrong thing. However, by this time a replacement wasn't going to work for me. My appetite was gone after tasting that first omelette. Perhaps one day I will try again, but for now I think not. read more

No dinner, but that might not be bad as they can clearly concentrate their efforts upon foods and ingredients that primarily make up those meals. The inside is small, the tables are a might too close together but people seem to manage and the service I had was good. Though passable the interior décor is rather drab with an "it's seen better days" look. They have a good choice of specials posted on the sidewalk outside. Not knowing for sure what I wanted I elicited the assistance of a 6 year old who was more than happy to point one out a board, that being a "Crab and Avocado Benedict." I'm also glad that I did have him pick it out as the service staff seems clueless as to what their specials are. Hence, people who failed to look on their way in had to get up and go back outside to look. My Crab and Avocado Benedict was decent, nothing special with the Hollandaise sauce seemingly commercial and the crab certain not jumbo lump but for a mere $14.95, not much could be expected. Though nothing special or superlative, it's still a good earthy sort of place for a decent breakfast or lunch. read more

I have lived in Florida all of my life and have always come to this restaurant and I have never had a problem with Gabriel or the staff. I came this Sunday and they were extremely rude. There was a kid outside who was corraling us all out there although no one was inside he kept saying people should wait there. Gabriel came out and asked what parties were waiting, the kids said one for outside, Gabriel then said they said they do inside have outside. I said I would take either and they completely spoke over me and didn't listen to me. Three parties were sat in front of me. this is extremely disappointing for a restaurant that has been here as long as they have and supposedly cater to the community. read more

We came from Boynton Beach in our hunt for the best breakfast in PBC. Based on the reviews here my son (partner in food) and I took the drive on a Monday morning and were not disappointed. While the owner was not there yet we were greeted promptly and seated. Drink order taken and soon our meals were ordered. Lately I'm really enjoying blueberry pancakes so I had a small combo plate w blueberry pancakes. They were very good, loaded w blueberries and substantial in size. Son had a large combo w pancakes also. His were plain and he's quite the connoisseur of pancakes and he really enjoyed them and the entire meal. The check was $25 which I thought was quite reasonable. The only downside here is that the staff wasn't very friendly. No smiles, no cheerful conversation.
