My GG admiring her Western Omelette with grits!

This place is a hidden gem! I have been driving past this place for years... the waitress was Very nice she said "First time?!! We've been here for 35 years!" Darlene was our server! (She's been here for 30 years- that says a lot about this place) She gave great recommendations and very personable! Quaint atmosphere, food was good and the service was nice. Owner seems like a nice guy, busy and involved (good quality of a business owner! Kudos) Prices reasonable. We will be back with the rest of the family!

I LOVE a good family owned and operated local spot and this one checks all the boxes. Absolute gold. GREAT menu, food, atmosphere, service, etc. etc. The blueberry pancakes are fluffy like clouds and the corned beef hash is superb. Shredded hashbrowns are my kryptonite and they make them just how I love them - shredded and cooked to a golden-brown, crispy perfection. So many options and very reasonably priced. In conclusion, this place is fantastic and I love to start my mornings here whenever I'm in Wellington.

Beer mug mimosa? Mostly orange juice

I tend to leave fact based reviews This one is not an exception Walked in Seated outside Server came over about 7 minutes later I asked for decaf espresso. She said let me check Then out came a double decaf. Perfect No sweetener on the table. Grabbed it myself I then asked for a mimosa. They brought it in a beer mug full of orange juice Placed my order for Gabriel's egg Benedict with potatoes The eggs were under cooked I asked for hot sauce sauce. She didn't bring it. I had to ask again. By that time I was ready to go They allow dogs outside patio I headed to the register quickly to get out of there. Totally not a nice lovely brunch place. Perhaps they have a following that doesn't care about how they spend their money for food I will not be back and am unable to recommend this place

3.8 for this restaurant is not indicative! Party of 4 on a Sunday @ noon arrived & were seated in less than 15 minutes. That simply does not happen at most breakfast spots. The inside is very cozy, with a Southern grandma vibe. All of the servers were kind, friendly, and attentive. I personally had: vanilla dream latte, salmon cake, French toast, and mixed fruit. What I loved most about Gabriel's is I just told the waitress what I wanted & she made the meal out of it. As someone who doesn't like eggs or grits or home fries, this is very rare for me at a breakfast place. They always try to force me to do a combo with eggs & sausage or something. Not here! I didn't get any pictures of the food but everything was delicious. And I can always tell if there's too much egg on a piece of French toast. No issues with the food at Gabriel's. It is a nice mom & pop breakfast spot. Good food. Good service. & they have plastic utensils if you don't want to use their silverware.

    Awesome dog menu

I love coming here with my family. The French toast and egg Benedict are both delicious, and the hot chocolate always fills me up. There's something for everyone, including your pups. The dogs on the patio are are always well behaved (I've never had an issue) and they have their own menu for your pup to enjoy. The staff always greets me when I come and they have a lovely outdoor seating area. Overall, a fun local cafe with nice staff and tasty options to choose from. I enjoy supporting this local business.

Today I visited Gabriel's Cafe we sat outside as the weather was pleasant ! our server was nice and patient we ask for recommendations and she was kind enough to help My husband order the three meat and cheddar omelette casserole plus a small side of biscuits and gravy I order the Polish omelette Food was good specially the home potatoes delish you have to try them! I also like that they do allow animals if you seat outside which is nice of them because not a lot of restaurant allow it

Over the top eggs benedict with a generous proportion of home fries.

Truly a hidden gem! Family owned and operated local breakfast/ lunch restaurant! Breakfast served all day! Ok now to the wonderful service, food menu and location! Wow! The menu has something for everyone! Very affordable and huge portions! I couldn't decide between 8 different choices but finally narrowed down to the Mom's Stuffed crepes- spinach, mushrooms, scallions, cheese topped with a hollandaise sauce! Easily the best crepes I've ever had! They came out piping hot and cooked perfectly! Cheesy and full of flavor! Absolutely delicious! If you love coffee they have the best Columbian coffee! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming! Like you stepped into a relatives home for breakfast! (Clarification -A relative you like!) It's clean and spotless and has a large outdoor seating area. Very pet friendly patio. I can't wait to try everything on the menu! I highly recommend!!!

Quick summary: Food = 5 stars, Service = 3 stars…read more I went to lunch with some friends, and everyone enjoyed their meals. We shared an order of delicious lobster deviled eggs. What's not to love with this flavor combo? Three people had salads including the Healthy Nut Salad, the Chopped Salad with Chicken, and the Necane Chicken Salad. Each of these included an interesting and tasty mix of greens, nuts, fruits, veggies and a delicious citronelle dressing. The portion sizes were large and the salads were quite filling. The only concern was that the piece of chicken on the Healthy Nut Salad was somewhat dry and did not have much seasoning. When cut and mixed in with the other salad ingredients and dressing, it was ok. I had the turkey melt sandwich, which included a fabulous blueberry chutney and melted cheese on a tasty toasted "rustic" bread. It came with a large quantity of oh-so-edible french fries. One person had the ahi tuna poke, which was as delicious as it looked. Such a nicely stacked presentation! It included quinoa, cucumber, mango, avocado, tomatoes and onions. The service was a bit lacking throughout our meal. We did not consistently receive refills on our water in a timely fashion, and we had to go searching for our server to bring us our check. Would I go back? Absolutely! The lunch menu had a wide variety of options including a large range of interesting appetizers, salads, flatbread pizzas, tacos pastas and larger entrees. Probably not the best place to go if you are in a hurry though. Instead, plan to enjoy a delicious leisurely lunch.

No stars Review for Skillets…read more This was a very disappointing experience and a terrible start to our family day. We waited over 45 minutes outside despite there being plenty of empty tables. Our party included two children and three adults. Once seated, we waited another 10 minutes before even getting coffee, and only after asking. The food was poorly prepared and tasteless. * The French toast was advertised as generously dipped in eggs and made with sourdough bread. It was dry, bland, and did not resemble sourdough at all. * The biscuits were hard, and the gravy was unidentifiable and did not resemble southern-style food in any way. * The corned beef hash looked raw and unappetizing and completely ruined our child meal. * The potatoes were absolutely awful. We had planned our day around visiting Lion Country Safari, so after investing nearly two hours between waiting and service, leaving was not an option. We left still hungry and frustrated, needing to find lunch elsewhere but short on time. Our waitress was pleasant and absolutely deserved the 25 percent tip we left her. However, service overall was disorganized. At one point she bumped into our table and did not even realize she was our assigned server. I had to explain that we had been waiting long enough and needed our children order taken immediately. To make matters worse, when we were leaving, a staff member exited the ladies restroom, which smelled terrible, and walked straight out without washing her hands. She passed directly in front of us. Between the excessive wait, poor food quality, lack of attentiveness, and hygiene concerns, this experience was unacceptable. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

Sunday brunch at Skillets with Sophia. What a great way to start the week…read more Sat on the outside patio. Enjoying a sunny day with our best friends from med school and residency who left the winters of PA behind to live in Florida. Celebrating life, family and friendship. Ordered a Mediterranean Skillet with skillet potatoes and a sunny side up egg. (You know I already looked at the quite extensive menu the night before.) My hubby ordered the same to match me. Our friends got a My Big Fat Greek Omelet and a Heathy Omelet with onions added. The skillet potatoes are more like a scalloped potato casserole. Milk, cream, cream cheese, scallions and shredded potatoes. So rich and creamy. The Mediterranean Skillet adds grilled red onions, mushrooms, peppers, Kalamata olives, sun-dried tomatoes and a generous sprinkle of goat cheese. Topped with two eggs, it is decadently delicious. Bread options included scones, toast or biscuits. Our table tried all of them. My scone was so delicious. I only ate half because my skillet was so delicious and so filling. My friend loved her biscuit and my hubby loved his scone. Sophia was great. She kept checking on us with a warm smile and refills of coffee. Lots of parking on a Sunday morning. A great breakfast for four. Very reasonable prices for fresh skillets and omelets. Hopefully we will be back on another visit to the Sunshine State.
