If there's anything you take from this review, let it be that the publicly listed number for this location is disconnected, and in calling a US line, they will assure you that the Barcelona number is correct, and claim they are unable to help with any requests given the lack of affiliation with the branch in the country of rental. Why does this matter? Breakdown- you're on your own, car stolen- good luck, need to extend or modify your rental- you'll be unable to do so online. Additionally, 15 business days later, this is the second time I've had to call my bank to remove holds the company ensured would be removed after 10 business days. Unresponsive, sketchy, and lack of customer regard does not a great company make. I hope they take the ample feedback provided to heart.

Another had a visa that they claimed was not valid, despite her pointing out that it had valid dates and was issued by the Spanish government (why a rental car clerk feels they have any authority to overrule an immigration official who had already let this person enter the country is strange). Then it was our turn. We had an embossed credit card, insurance, no visa, BUT our international driver license was digital (along with my physical license). We were denied. Like the others in front of us, we protested. The woman took our phone and spent 5min scanning the small print (not kidding!) to find a line in Priceline's contract that says a rental car agency "may" ask for a physical international driver licenses. So, we Lost a few hundred dollars and then spent 850 euros to rent last minute from Hertz. They don't want to rent to non-Spaniards and appear a bit racist on top of that given what I saw. This is a shit company and Priceline should stop allowing them to rent to Americans. It is clearly a scam. AVOID THEM, EVEN THOUGH THE PRICE SEEMS GOOD.

He explained about a credit hold for 84 euros for gas if we did not return the car with a full tank. Apparently, they ALSO put on an additional 200 € hold for miscellaneous until you return the car undamaged. He did not mention this. The car was filthy outside but clean enough inside . They told me I had to pay for their insurance even though I paid for insurance already. I explain to the lady that we already paid. She didn't care whatsoever and told me it's policy that I had to take out their insurance. There is non choice here. They either put a hold of $400 or a hold of $2000 depending on the insurance. I didn't argue because I understand policy, but I told her this would have been nice to know before booking. She said "It's not our problem you can't read". I was shocked. I told I can read and that none of this was explained in the contract I had. After some back and forth, I caved because I wanted to enjoy my trip. I handed her my American Express (which they accept) and she pretended to run it and told me (very loudly and in front of other customers) "your card doesn't work because their is no money in it, you can't rent stuff if you're broke". I was shocked. I told her to run it again since that card has no credit limit. She pretended to do it again and I saw her not run it correctly. I told her to do it right and she told me they don't accept American Express. Before it got nasty, I caved again and told her to run another card. It worked fine since she swiped it correctly. As we left, I asked about return procedures. She told me to come back and leave it where I picked it up. I told her I'd have to be back at the airport at 5am and she said someone will before here. That was another lie. They don't open until 9am. And the return spot is a different side of the lot. I reported this to their customer service team. It's been 3 months and they don't even address the issue. They just say that the case is closed. I'm not even going to go into detail on how messed up that is. Overall, horrific experience.
