Texas Air & Heat

We are absolutely grateful for Texas Air & Heat…read more 5 stars for customer service and 5 star repair. For some context, my husband and I are first time home buyers. We just bought this home and have done some repairs on the home already. Our experience with repair companies has discouraged in our journey of homeownership so when our thermostat stopped working we were over it. We went to yelp and we chose to work with Texas Air & Heat and same day Daniel came and helped us out! Daniel was friendly and was more than happy to explain what the issue was. My husband wanted to put the thermostat back on the wall himself and Daniel even stayed to make sure there was no issues. We thought that was very thoughtful and kind of him. We are relieved to find a company who is honest, reasonably priced and just great customer service. This experience has given my family some relief in finding a company we know we can go to and get great service from. If we ever have AC or thermostat issues Texas Air & Heat will be our first call and we'll be more than happy to suggest anyone we know to them as well. Thank you so much! You guys rock!

Our AC guy recently retired so took a chance and called Texas Air & Heat based off their reviews and they certainly did not disappoint! Spoke to Daniel (the owner) when I called on a Saturday to schedule and we made an appt for 8 am on Monday. He was super prompt (even text when he was a few minutes out. Once he got there, he looked through the whole system and diagnosed the issue. I asked him to not fix it yet since we were still under contract for the house, but had a detailed invoice with photos of how to fix the issue along with price involved to supply the sellers. Texas Air & Heat will for sure be my new HVAC company!

Willard Air, Heating, Plumbing, Electrical came out this morning for full system review, AC & furnace system components. Brilliant work; very thorough report walk-through with photos. Impressively professional and thorough. The guy George was awesome. They complemented the check up, up front. There aee some good catches that we can get fixed today, and extend the life of the compressor. Heartily recommend. We also joined the membership program to get on the bi-yearly checkups for AC and furnance in preseason times. Incredible turnaround! Well done all!!

Parts were ordered. Monday I get a call from Allie explaining how long it would take to get the parts from the manufacturer & when to expect my AC to be fixed. Allie was friendly, kind, compassionate, & helpful the few times we spoke. Excellent customer service! The following Monday (yesterday) Arturo came to replace the coil in my attic. I was told in advance that it would be an all day job. No problem. Arturo walked us through & showed us the problems that caused our AC coil to need replacement once the old coil was out. It was fantastic getting a mini teaching lesson about home AC. He took the time to explain the possible issues with the unit outside too. At the very end we ran into a problem. Arturo said he would be happy to stay & troubleshoot, or come back today. No point to come back out even though he'd been working all day. He quickly found the problem & the AC was up & running. Kudos to Arturo! I know nothing about AC repairs, but the cost was reasonable to me. I actually had to raise my AC a few degrees because my house was so cool this morning. Humans & dogs are very happy.

He spent nearly 1-2 hours on a Sunday thoroughly diagnosing our AC issue, only to discover it was actually an electrical problem outside of his scope. I really appreciated his honesty. he didn't try to patch something up just to charge us more.... Instead, he pointed us in the right direction and helped us understand exactly what needed to be done. Even though he couldn't fix it himself, he still spent extra time helping, and the visit was only $39. No surprise fees, no pressure!!! Phew! Once the electrician came out, the AC was up and running again. We're so thankful Brandon helped us get to the root of the issue.

I chose Comfort Land because I related to who I communicated to and was able to establish good communication with them at a, albeit weird hour (Saturday night 9pm). The person I talked to, Will, was very upfront about the pricing. The price was 49$ for a diagnostic visit. I also asked if there was a cancellation fee in case the AC worked itself out, no cancellation fee, and he also recommended some YouTube sites to see if some of the basics could be ruled out on the costumer side. I appreciated that and after doing some price comparison with 2 other companies, one of which tried to upsell me on a yearly plan, I decided to go with Comfort Land. I confirmed the appointment time on Sunday and on Monday they came early afternoon. I was not here when they originally came and my husband interacted with them, he had a favorable opinion. I had done my own research that morning and realized that the problem was likely inside the house since the outside unit was spinning normally and the refrigerant line was cold, but nothing was blowing in my house so I thought it was likely a motor blower issue. they confirmed that they found that the motor blower was not working. they also said the auxillary drain pan was very rusted (like around 2-3 feet of rust on the pan) I like that they documented everything very well and showed and emailed us pictures of what they found in our attic. I felt very comfortable and confident that they were honest and did a good evaluation. They called and had a motor blower and new drain pan delivered from their storage facility and I think the two of them waited outside the house for like 90 minutes for it. I think they came around 1pm, and left around 5 pm after installing everything and left after they made sure the AC was working, including measuring the temperature that came from the AC. In regards to the pricing: It was 2600 to replace the motor and change the drain pan. I did a search on HVAC subreddit and it seemed like that price was reasonable. My husband and I are very grateful for their prompt service, their handwritten evaluation that not only evaluated the immediate problem, as well as overall health of the AC system we had and the degree of wear and tear on some of the other parts. I feel comfortable recommending this company to friends and other people. Please keep up the good work everyone!

To Rescue Air's credit, they had been warning us each time they came out for HVAC Filter rotations. Thankfully, Rescue Air's ace plumbing expert Mr. Phillip Blystone was dispatched to my home to assess the situation. Within minutes he identified the issue and immediately started to work out a plan and arrangement my family could manage to cover the expense of the Water Heater replacement: the source of the leaking problem. Rescue Air has a very long history of working with my family since we've been in this home (2016), so that level of service is a given these days. But that's not the complete reason for the 5-Star rating. The next day, now with a working heater, my wife and I discovered that a leak was still present in the Garage. Upon calling Rescue Air to let them know what was going on, Mr. Blystone responded swiftly to our location to triage the leak. Using both his advanced equipment and intuition, he found that in spite of the solid repair and replace he and his team performed of the water heater, a leak was sadly missed during the initial assessment. Most other business would likely have tacked on a "not-our-problem" sort of response to this. However, Mr. Blystone and by extension Rescue Air are not your normal type of company. With careful consideration of the economic circumstance of the recent repair & purchase, balancing years of customer loyalty and being a genuinely saint, Mr. Blystone proceeded to isolate and resolve the leak (a small puncture hole in the T-pipe hot-water line leading from the heater) pro-gratis. Completely unexpected, but definitely much appreciated! It goes without saying it would be extremely foolish for my family to consider doing business with anyone else in the Dallas Metro given Rescue Air's track record with our family. The value lost would be far too great. While I hope to not need their services as often as recently, I definitely look forward to working with them and Mr. Blystone should the need arise again.

I believe the other negative reviews to be spot-on. Be very, very careful with this company…read more They came in to give an estimate for one repair, but that turned into a big, scary report of all the issues, pointing strongly at a completely new system. Ok. They had photos. Their explainations sounded reasonable, especially when coupled with the photos they quickly flashed through on their tiny phone. So, I told them that we would likely move forward, but I require two things - a copy of all of those photos, and two estimates, one for what they wanted to sell me, and a separate itemized repair list. I got two estimates - one for the original they were pushing, and another for something MORE expensive. No itemized list of repairs. No photos. When I reached out in email, they wanted a phone call. There is almost always a good reason for not wanting to leave a record via email. But, $15,000-ish for a new 5 ton unit, with no new duct work... yeah, you'd better *really* back that up. They could not (would not?) I now have to suspect that thier photos were doctored in some way, maybe even not all of my unit. Who knows? Who looks inside, like that? And, I suspect their reason for not sending me copies of those were dubious. They also pressured the sale claiming that "prices go up next week for Summer." Sha. Ok. This was in March. Good luck with these tactics. Not for me. If you want to give them enough rope to hang themselves to find out for yourself, just act ignorant and as excited for a new unit as they suddenly are to sell you on it. You'll see. It'll cost you $120 for the scammy diagnosis, though.
