Beautiful, quaint B&B in a historic home right next to Centennial Park and a very short walk from all the cute shops and restaurants downtown. Absolutely loved our stay here. The room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. The build your own toast bar was excellent, with so many delicious options. I am so happy we stayed here and highly recommend it. Clear communication, cozy home, delicious breakfast, 10/10!

I stayed here a few years ago under the previous owner and Rob has only improved what was already a wonderful place to stay! The grounds are gorgeous with plenty of outdoor seating, the house and rooms are spotless, you hear no neighbors, and it feels homey and spacious. The breakfast was incredible - build-your-own toast bar with a multitude of sweet and savory options. Rob makes most things in-house and he's an incredible cook! Coffee is plentiful and locally roasted. There's a mocktail/soda bar with great selections of simple syrups and flavors. Check-in is so easy and I love that the key gives you after-hours access so you can explore gorgeous Holland to your heart's content. Well done, Rob. You've created an absolute destination stay.

I'm not usually an "Inn" person but I love that it's in the heart of downtown Holland and you can walk everywhere (even if the winter). I also want to eat breakfast there every day if I could.

It was currently under renovation (signage said until November 2027) so hopefully that means they're upgrading they're rooms throughout the process. They were adding onto the hotel but we didn't notice any noise during sleeping hours. Parking was a little dicey too, if you came back anytime in the evening. They had an event the last night we were there and that took up tons of parking spaces so we had to park In the electric car park only spot--told the front desk and they were okay with it They're also dog friendly, which was awesome. We brought our 2 mini dauschunds and staff wooed over them We stayed in a king suite for the space and it was the perfect amount of space. Had a large mini fridge/freezer and microwave, which was awesome! The large tub in the main room seemed odd/dated to me Id absolutely stay here again though. Overall, good value for the location itself, friendly staff.

Shower was huge and awesome. Bed super comfy! Unfortunately, we stayed on the 4th Floor, and unbeknownst to us, a wedding was held in the event space right above us, wine the dance floor situated literally right above our room. Very loud if you need to sleep early! Front desk seemed genuinely apologetic, offered headphones and a time the din was to end, but it ended 30 minutes past that quoted time. The bar is fantastic, interesting drinks, and stellar prices during happy hour! Our bartender seemed discontent, like she was over it and didn't want to be there. Breakfast and coffee the next morning were also great - many my picky husband happy, and the horchata cold brew with almond milk fueled my entire day! To top it all off, it's super convenient to our fav pizza place downtown. I'd stay at Tulyp again in a heartbeat!

Fast forward two trips later we're big fans. The property is well maintained, the staff are friendly, other guests have been welcoming and respectful, and there is so much to do. Holland State Park is great but this year (2018) Tunnel Park was the hit. We have 4 kiddos entertainment is important. I highly recommend a stay here.

First, the location is awesome. Across the street from a Lake Macatawa access (our balcony had a lake view) and down the street from the Holland State Park Lake Michigan Beach (perfect to watch the sun set). We also hiked Mt. Pisgah a couple of days (just down the street too). We stayed in the Newport (sleeps 8, 4 in beds, 4 in sofa beds). We loved the unit from the decor to the multi level layout and fully stocked kitchen. If someone in your party has trouble with stairs I might pick a unit that has an additional first floor kitchen/bar. There is a jet tub in the master bath and a private patio with a grill off the back of the first floor bedroom. There is also an outdoor grill with patio table seating right off the pool deck for entertaining. The salt water pool and hot tub (mostly the hot tub) was my fav, especially after climbing all those stairs at Mt Pisgah. 8 minutes to downtown Holland and 20 minutes to Saugatuck. Just down the street was a kayak and paddle board rental place. Additionally you get privileges at the Macatawa Golf Club which was very nice. It was worth every penny and we hope to go back again!

The AM clerk is quiet and not very helpful. The hotel is clean, I asked for more towels and they made my bed, what a nice touch. I thought they did a great job, my consultant will be there for 8 weeks, they have proper COVID procedures in place. They are located near restaurants like Panera, Culvers, On the Border, and more. This is a new hotel and they seem to care and service their guests, a very comfortable stay. Many hotels claim they are hurting and cut services all under the guise of COVID. Here, they provide as much as they can, in a friendly manner. JW Marriott would be proud! Thanks for the comfortable stay. Rates are low as well.

Equipment problems happen, but poor customer service followed by an additional fee for leaving an unacceptable room is ridiculous. I would not recommend this hotel.

I also really appreciated the water station, which made it super easy to fill up my reusable water bottle throughout the day. Location-wise, it's about a mile walk to the lake but just a block away from downtown. Parking was incredibly easy and convenient, as they have multiple lots around the property where you can park for free. The room itself was nice and standard, equipped with a fridge and a small seating area. The bathroom was very nice and updated. On my first night, the motion sensor seemed to be acting up because the lights kept shutting off on me, but housekeeping must have noticed and fixed it the next day because it worked perfectly after that. My only real complaint about the room was the WiFi, which was pretty spotty and didn't really work well inside the room. Overall, it's a clean, convenient, and modern place to stay.
